Zen Garden > Article Writing - My Soldiers Are Out There in the Trenches Fighting For Me in a War that Gets More and More Intense Every DayMy "soldiers" as I call them are the articles that I have written. They are in the internet trenches attracting people to my websites 24/7. Read on and see why i refer to them as soldiers and how they can help me win a few battles in the "War of Market Dominance."I have a platoon of soldiers who are out in the trenches every day fighting for me in a war that is getting more and more intense. No, I am not a mercenary, nor am I in the military. But I do command this platoon and these soldiers are out there day and night fighting for my cause. So, who are they and what are they fighting for? My "soldiers' as I call them are the articles that I have written. They are in the internet trenches attracting people to my websites 24/7. When I release them into the battlefield they do not require anything more to fight for me than what I originally armed them with - some good keywords, a good title, some quality information and a direct link back to my headquarters - that is, my websites. You are probably wondering why I deem internet marketing a war... Consider this, ten years ago there were only a few hundred thousand internet sites competing for market share. Today, reportedly, there are more than 100 million websites. The only way that I can compete for market share is to send out more troops into the battlefield and, perhaps, arm them with better weapons than everybody else does. But I'm not about to reveal that. Let me give you an example concerning numbers and saturation: If I have 10 articles attracting customers to my website which is one in one hundred sites then (simplistically) I have a 1:100 ratio IF all the other website owners each have 10 articles out there. Now, let's say that there are one thousand sites all with 10 articles. That is 10,000 articles. My share, is now only 10:10,000, which is 1:1000. To get my saturation back to 1:100 I have to get another 90 troops out into the field. Here is the equation: 10,000 divided by (10 + 90) = 100. Or 1:100. In other words I have one article per 100 in saturation. That, of course, is assuming that none of the other sites release any more articles. That would be a false assumption. There are more sites and many of those sites are releasing dozens if not hundreds of articles. So, basically what we have is an "arms race." In reality this "War of Market Dominance" is in a constant state of flux. That is, the numbers are changing minute by minute, upwards. The only way that any website owner can keep up any sort of a presence is to send more troops out into the battle. They never die, they never need food or water or replenishing with anything. Once they are out there THEY ARE OUT THERE! Write more articles. Send out more soldiers. You will never WIN the war. There are too many combatants. But you will win enough battles (of the niches) to ensure that you will never LOSE the war either.
