Adipex-P For Sale

by Gary ~ January 23rd, 2009

Adipex-P For Sale, Hi,

Well, after the last week of frenetic activity on my part to draw all the elements together for the budding tigresses here on this blog, I am gonna change tack. I want to do something light and frivolous for once. I just wanna have some fun!

But, Adipex-P use, even having said that, Buy Adipex-P online no prescription, there is a strong undercurrent in my message here to you today. And if you “get it” you will be able to motivate and inspire yourself to levels that you never thought possible. I do this regularly, Adipex-P pharmacy. So, what do I do, Adipex-P For Sale.

Quite simply, About Adipex-P, I use music to inspire me.

“Oh yeah Gary, I do that too, online buying Adipex-P hcl. You ain’t telling me nothing new here buddy!”

Really. Adipex-P from mexico, Well, let me ask you this. Have you ever been through your entire CD or record (sorry kids) collection and catalogued the VERY songs that “do it” to you. Adipex-P For Sale, Have you. I will bet not, Adipex-P interactions. I have. Comprar en línea Adipex-P, comprar Adipex-P baratos, In my exasperatingly large collection - I have some 500-600 albums - some are total lemons but I have them because there is ONE track on some albums that gets me rockin’ and rollin’ like you wouldn’t believe. I’m talking about putting it on and then “watch out!” type stuff. The "zone" as I sometimes talk about, Adipex-P For Sale.

So, Adipex-P wiki, what I have done is this. Adipex-P pictures, I have taken those individual songs, instrumentals, anthems, cheap Adipex-P, whatever and made a Gazz-Man compilation album. Canada, mexico, india, In fact, I have taken it a step further (you probably might figure that I would, huh?) and I have separate compilation CD’s that I use to evoke different feelings in my body chemistry, buy Adipex-P without prescription. And let me tell you this – if you do this it is powerful, No prescription Adipex-P online, powerful stuff!

But it takes time and it takes effort and it is a real pain sifting through all the crap to get the gold and diamonds (sound like a familiar theme?). Adipex-P For Sale, And I already know that most of you will think, “yeah, great idea but I don’t have time” or whatever excuse you will have. (Um, go back to the PPP#2 and re-read all about EXCUSIOLOGY!) To that, where can i order Adipex-P without prescription, I say this… “That is precisely why you never WILL have time.” Because you are not delevoping the very thing that God gave you TOTAL control over. Purchase Adipex-P for sale, You see the mind is a powerful thing – a gift, a very great gift. But it is a gift that is massively under-utilised, Adipex-P used for. It needs to be prompted, Where can i cheapest Adipex-P online, inspired, cajoled into action. And a great catalyst for this is music, Adipex-P For Sale.

Now we all have songs etc that we HATE, Adipex-P pictures. And when we hear them we get annoyed, Buying Adipex-P online over the counter, agitated, angry, resentful and a whole range of other negative emotions, buy cheap Adipex-P. Why. Adipex-P schedule, Because they are either highly irritating to us or the singer is a pencil-neck dweeb or THAT song or piece of music reminds us of a dark time in our past. Mostly it is the last reason stated. Adipex-P For Sale, And, if I may be so bold, you are probably thinking of one such tune right now... You damn well HATE it don't you. I know, online buying Adipex-P, I know... Doses Adipex-P work, You already recognize that. But there are two sides to every coin, so to speak, online buying Adipex-P hcl.

Let me give you an example, Adipex-P For Sale. Most people seem to react quite positively to Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger.” Why. Adipex-P price, Because at THAT part of the Rocky movie when boxer Rocky Balboa says to his inner-self that he isn’t gonna be a bum any more and MAKES THE DECISION to be the heavyweight boxing champion of the world, we hear that music. It is a powerful psychological motivator in the movie, Adipex-P no prescription.

But what about you. Adipex-P For Sale, What is the powerful motivating music in YOUR movie – and I’m NOT talking about playing around with videos here. Adipex-P blogs, No. I am talking about THE most important movie of all. The one that YOU are the STAR of, Adipex-P treatment. The movie of YOUR LIFE.

You see, it is all very well to love Rocky music, Adipex-P For Sale. Buy cheap Adipex-P no rx, But what you are really doing “associating” yourself with that is cheating yourself. You are living Rocky’s life and YOU are NOT Rocky! So, most people are falsely “in love” with that piece, Adipex-P pharmacy. Do you understand what I am saying here. Get Adipex-P, Sure, I LIKE “Eye of the Tiger” too. Adipex-P For Sale, But it doesn’t rattle my cage. OK, real brand Adipex-P online. It does nudge it slightly. Buy no prescription Adipex-P online, But I need more. Much more. I need a personal cage RATTLER, Adipex-P For Sale. One for ME, cheap Adipex-P no rx.

What I am looking for here from you is YOUR music. What piece inspires you SO much that it seems to have been written just for YOU. Hey, I don’t mind saying that I believe that Emerson, Lake and Palmer wrote “Fanfare For the Common Man” for me. Adipex-P For Sale, If I ever feel down then just a few bars of the opening of that piece will have me so fired up that I am ready to take on the entire rest of the world. That is how powerfully it inspires me.

But I have many other personally inspiring tracks that I also use. It depends what I want at the time. I actually have three CD’s that have around 15 to 20 songs or instrumentals on them that I can target for what I want. Yeah I know you can put 10,000 songs on an iPod, Adipex-P For Sale. But all that does is confuse you with an endless array and most of it will be JUNK. Do NOT dilute your concentration.

What I am talking about here is narrowing all those songs down to a fine selection of “mood music” and yes, I have those sorts of songs on one as well, though I am never normally in need of too much inspiration in that regard, being a member of THAT half of the human race that is fortunate enough (or UNfortunate enough!) to have TWO “brain centres” that most often work very independently of one another. Ladies, you really don’t know how much of a damn disadvantage that can be. Maybe I will talk about that later. Adipex-P For Sale, Then again – maybe not. Who knows... .

Back to the real subject of this material…

WHAT piece of music gets you SO inspired and motivated and jumping out of your skin that YOU feel you can take on anyone or anything. And, more importantly, do you know WHY it does that. When you know WHY you can then consciously move to new levels using this powerful technique as a catalyst, Adipex-P For Sale. So, over to you…

Tell me.

PS1: Yes, I know some of you find it a chore to read long copy. It is an ENDLESS ongoing debate that is never gonna go away. I could write shorter stuff but then you just wouldn't get the detail. Adipex-P For Sale, But, I am always willing to listen. So, under your name just write (too long) or (about right) or (too short). I am also considering the use of headings. But tell me. What do you like.

    Hi Gazz-Man,

Great post – and I’m the first to comment. Wow, what a honor!

    Sorry Hils!

I also find ‘Fair For The Common Man’ gets me going too.

One of my personal favourites is “You Could Be Mine” by Guns N’ Roses, as featured in the film Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

I hadn’t thought about collecting all my favourite inspiring tracks before now. Thanks for the great tip.

I don’t think your post is too long. In my opinion it’s the value of the content that counts. Write as much as it takes to fully express your point of view, I say.

I also thought your article in the latest issue of ‘Profit Pulling Project’ Newsletter was inspired and inspiring!

    To your success,

Hi Dave – Thanks for your nice compliments there. That is what inspires me – ie being able to do things that inspires other people. Now we are ALL inspiring one another and the process becomes symbiotic.

    Gary

PS: I must get across to you as I am feeling like a bit of a heel since you have been here several times now. You are on my list of things to do – which NEVER seems to get any smaller no matter how much I do.

  3. Garry Parkes

    Hi Gary,

I’ve also got a load of my favorite tracks burnt onto a CD and also loaded onto my MP3 player for when I go to the gym.

Two tracks that I’d pick from many that do it for me are:-

    U2 – “Its a Beautiful Day”

Just think its a great uplifting track that gets you psyched up and each day is a Beautiful Day. Brilliant played load (which I doing now :-)

But the one that really gets to me, the words, the music is …

Supertramp – “Give a Little Bit”

    http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=fFvSBNm66SA

It takes me back to a Seminar with Tony Robbins, the motivation Guru. But Seminar is not the right short of word to describe one of Tony’s ‘gig’s. It’s totally unconventional and can change your life as it did mine.

Here’s some of the lyrics to it below. I think the sentiments apply very well to our F500 group, Caring and sharing, helping others, giving without receiving. Sums us up perfectly.

    Give a little bit
Give a little bit of your love to me
    Give a little bit
I’ll give a little bit of my love to you
There’s so much that we need to share
So send a smile and show you care

    I’ll give a little bit
I’ll give a little bit of my life for you
    So give a little bit
Give a little bit of your time to me
See the man with the lonely eyes
Oh, take his hand, you’ll be surprised

    Give a little bit
Give a little bit of your love to me
    I’ll give a little bit
I’ll give a little bit of my life for you
Now’s the time that we need to share
So find yourself, we’re on our way back home

  4. Ali Viljami

    Hi Gazza

thanks for your post. I have been thinking of this post for a very long time and you wrote it.

I have got “Short memory” on my mind with Midnight Oil on my mind for a long time now, especially when I’m here. The song came to my mind with almost my first visit here.

I’m open for all kind of music. I like voices that are “strange”, little more difficult for “mainstream”, but some are good there also.

    /Azza

  5. Gary

Hi Ali – You are another person that I owe a bit of comment reciprocation to. I promise you guys I will attend to that.

Now, Ali, I’m actually glad you said that:

“I have been thinking of this post for a very long time and you wrote it.”

Thinking is good but – and please pardon me for saying this coz I am not aligning it solely to you – the world is full of broke people who HAD good ideas yet never acted on them.

I know of a fellow over here where I live who had a rip-snorter of an idea for an automatic door closer. he had the idea for 10 years and even made a proto-type. Friends would compliment him on it and I must have heard him say about 100 times – “Yeah, I’ll get around to doing making them commercially one day.” ONE FRIGGIN’ DAY!

Guess what? Somebody came to his home, saw it, patented it, produced it and is now a millionaire. And guess what else? My friend detests the guy.

There’s a message in all that. If you think of a good idea then DO something about it. The cemeteries of the world are full of people who had GOOD ideas and carried them to the grave with them.

You will hear me bung on and on and on about this.

Thanks Ali – Peter Garrett, the former lead singer of the “Oils,” is now a politician in Australia. And I really don’t need to say too much about how he has gone from respected rock star to procrastination double-dutch star in one almighty move.

    Gary

  6. Colin

    Hi ,Gary

Great article in the PPP Newsletter part 3 can it get any better, a stormer, I re-read it in bed (sad really!)

One of my favourites, an oldy, Pomp and Circumstance. We used to sing it in the coach returning from an away Rugby match, but only if we had won.

Copy, normally about right, this one too long, no offense mate, you did ask!

    Colin
    (too long)

  7. Gary

Hi Garry – Mate! Because of your post (now out of order) I just found something out about wordpress that I think EVERYBODY is gonna want to know about! I will post it below as a SPECIAL NOTICE (see below).

Now, U2, I pretty much like all of their stuff but nothing gives me the goosebumps like it obviously does you (hope neither of us get done for copyright infringement there – should be OK – LOL!)

With respect to that Supertramp song, that is one song that alwways engenders great sadness and sorrow in me (no probs mate – how could YOU know). But I want to talk about it coz it highlights a point I made above. You see this was the favourite song of a very dear lady friend of mine. Her name was Marina. She was the kindest most wonderful and giving person I have ever met. And even in death she was an organ donor.

More coming on this (see below)…

  8. Garry Parkes

    Hi Gary,

Sorry about that mate, but it does highlight a very significant thing.

Same event – two totally different reactions, in this case the ‘trigger’ is a song.

We all attach different meanings to different things and music (or sound) is one of these that can invoke powerful memories. Smell is another sense that can invoke even stronger recollections but it doesn’t happen as often. How many times have you thought “I know that smell” and it takes you back to a memory from childhood or wherever.

As Gary said in his opening post, you can use various triggers (music in this example) to invoke strong emotional responses. If you know why and master these ‘triggers’ it can be a powerful technique to motivate you or anything else for that matter.

I know Marina must have been a very special person and her love and kindness are still felt to this day. She has had a lasting impact on those she knew and also the new lease of life she gave to those fortunate recipients of her organs. No one truly dies while they are still remembered, particularly so fondly and leave such a legacy.

I’m sorry that I rekindled sad emotions for you Gary which in the end was suppose to be an uplifting thread. Whoops !

  9. Gary

Garry – Don’t think twice about it mate. How could you possibly know?

Yes my friend Marina was 10/10 on the outside and 11/10 on the inside. Actually, her name was Angelina, which I prefer, but she always went by her middle name, Marina.

She passed away very suddenly from undiagnosed heart complications at age 40 at her home. I remember the phone call from her husband as vividly today as back then. He said, in a distant voice, “Gary, I’ve got some very sad news. Marina died last night.” I was stunned, naturally. She was as fit as any woman her age.

She was “a true English Rose who blossomed on our Australian shores.” I wrote that in the Eulogy I delivered at her funeral and I was the only one who didn’t bawl the chappel down. But I’ll tell you why…

I had already cried my eyes out in the 40 or 50 rehearsals I did in the week leading up to that day.

Every time I rehearsed it I got just a little bit stronger until I was able to complete it without breaking down in grief myself. On the day, 22 September 1995, I just had no tears left. So, for any guys out there that think I always talk tough and present the macho image – I cry too. I’m not ashamed to say it.

On this somewhat sidetracked subject… if any of you are ever asked to deliver a eulogy then, IMHO, you should do it. There is NO greater honour in this world and it is the ultimate final act of kindness that you can have for that person.

Gee, dunno why I just said all that. I was even misty-eyed when I keyed it in and had to stop several times.

Garry, you also touched on another KEY there yourself – the sense of smell.

So, let’s do the whole damn hog – sight, touch, sound, smell and taste. These are our five basic senses and each will evoke a reaction, either positive or negative. Obviously, the two that we concern ourselves with in internet marketing and communications are sight and sound. And that is why WORDS are so powerful.

You simply MUST learn to be a good writer if you want to succeed on the Internet – OR hire one. Naturally, if you can do it yourself it is faster, easier and one heck of a lot cheaper.

Your post above, Garry, was full of excellent ideas. And like I said – DON’T even think about it mate. I was very happy to remember my beautiful friend for another brief moment…

    RIP Angelina Marina Gillett (12 June 1955 – 14 September 1995)

This is for you and my memory of you, my darling…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RTWzsGO4Zc … Every time I hear it I think of YOU… “I still love you baby”… A beautiful song for a beautiful lady.

    God bless your spirit.

    Gary Simpson.

  10. Gary

Hi Colin – Just switching gears now. YOU DID WHAT? You took my article to bed to read!!! Hmm, I don’t know whether to be proud, shocked, stunned or just plain mystified. So, I’ll settle for proud since you used the word “stormer.”

No offence taken at all that you said what I wrote above was too long. That is what I want to know, so I can do it better in future. Thanks for your honesty. That’s all I ask.

    Regards

    Gary

PS: Colin, IOU a visit now too.

    SPECIAL NOTICE ABOUT WORDPRESS

    Hi everyone,

Now, I may be 100% wrong here but I have noticed a couple of things about this wordpress blog and I am just putting 2 + 2 together to make the obvious answer of 4.

First, I have generally been ignoring spam because I have a spam catcher that grabs all the absolute crap that I do not want infesting and infecting my blog – and there is PLENTY of it out there. It makes me wonder why the heck the idiots who do this even bother.

Anyway, yesterday I had accumulated 8 bits of “reported” spam and I thought it was time I deleted it. So, in I went. But – whoa! IN amongst the 6 bits of mongrel spam I also had a post from Mark Austin (sorry Mark) and one other first-time poster. Naturally, I approved those 2 and dumped the 6 others. But, I noticed one piece of spam that had about 100+ lines to it – every line was a “keyword” string for the word v-i-agra. (* – see below)

Hmm, why did I think that was significant? Well, let me tell you why. Yesterday, while I was fudging and filling in time waiting for Linda to come on line, I told a joke that used THAT word. Now, it may be co-incidence but I think not. And that was why I mentioned it again just then. You see, I am experimenting here. I am gonna see if I get that piece of garbage again. And if I do then forever more, if I want to say that word again, I will simply denote it as v*agra. You will all know what I mean but these trawling scripts will not.

Now, the reason I kinda “twigged” to this was due to an incident that happened a few weeks ago. You see, I woke up to a massive spam list of 105 of the most disgusting pieces of utter SH*T that anyone could ever imagine. I wondered why but it has only just dawned on me this afternoon when I connecte dthe two incidents. You see I was discussing in a thread how I DETEST child p*rn*gr*phy, p*d*ph*l*a, b*st*al*ty and the like. And the next day my blog was inundated with it. I now believe that my mere mention of it attracted this filth.

So, while I am conducting this experiment to see if i cop it again, here are my recommendations.

1 – look inside your spam folder EVERY day for legitimate comments that may get caught up there. The reason, I believe, that Garry Parkes‘ comment was quarantined in my spam folder was due to the embedded link in his post. This has happened once before so I made the connection that embedded links will automatically register the comment as spam and quarantine it.

2 – Try not to use links in your post unless it is absolutely necessary. If you are gonna embed a link here then realise that it may get quarantined before I see and release it.
3 – Do NOT mention the words that attract this garbage on your own blogs.

I wil l report back tomorrow to see if I have attracted this rubbish and if I have then I will report it back here for you all to know.

(* – this word did indeed attract the EXACT email as the other day and was deleted and the word at the top altered, after the event, so YOU know the meaning but the spiders do not. FULL report further down the page)

    END SPECIAL NOTICE ABOUT WORDPRESS

  12. Ali Viljami

    Hi all

yes Gary, when I wrote my comment I realized that you took action, me not. But I’m moving forwards with other things. (“keep moving” with Madness) Good you keep pushing.

It’s sad to see souls loosing or changing their power being double-dutch stars or “mainstream”.

Colin, I didn’t know what “Pomp and Circumstance” was, but I checked the Tube and that was famous, but not used in Sweden.

Marina is still making impact on many, even om little on me althought I dont know her. This makes me think of Sweet Sweet with Smashing Pumpkins. Smashing P was one favourite for my very good friend Mathias that died 27 years old.

  13. Nigel Yip

    Hi Gary

When I first saw your post I thought it was going to be quite easy for me to choose my favourite song out of the many I love, by going to my old Apple iMac and finding out the songs I listened to the most.

However, upon reading through the various posts and comments that others left, especially the latter comment/post you left in regards to the sad lost of your friend, something weird happened.

I think my inner self, inner emotions started to kick in and a song which I only listen when I’m really down, or when I want to reflect upon something, or play when I take a relaxing drive down the countryside came flooding back into my mind.

The reason why I only listen to this song on these occasions is that whenever I listen to it, I get this tingling sensation in my brain which then slowly calms and filters around my body, and I begin to reflect myself as if I was on a journey with this music continuing to play on forever and ever, documenting the highs and lows of my life with it and to me personally, it also has this special calming energy which uplifts and takes all my worries away as the same time.

That is why this following song will always remain in my mind, it simply just undescribable.

This song is called “Nocturne” by The Secret Garden

It may not be to everyone tastes, but I don’t mind, I just love this song since the first time I saw it being played live on TV at the 1995 Eurovsion Song Contest which was held in Ireland.

    Anyway, all the best
    Nigel

  14. Nigel Yip

Hey Gary and to anyone else

Btw, re the song above – Nocture – The Secret Garden

There are a couple of version out there – there is the norweigen instrumental version and the english instrumental version and these were the version I was referring too.

However, I just found about 5 mins ago that there is a new version by Anne Takle which I have to say is quite good upon first impressions.

    All the best
    Nigel

  15. Gary

@ Ali – Thank you for your sentiments there. I truly appreciate them. I know I have now immortalised the memory of my beautiful friend on my blog. I just wish I had a photo of her so I could post it for everone to see this truly wonderful woman. I miss her so much…

@ Nigel – I am really glad I started this thread now. I though it might be a fizzer coz I actually asked people to reveal something of themselves and this is always dangerous as most people simply will not bare their souls or emotions for all to see. But I can see that it was now a pretty good idea. The comments coming out here are very educational even if others will find it too daunting a task to add their words.

I am unaware of “Nocturne” but, Nigel, if it stirs your soul like that then man… feast on it.

I have another song – and I am getting into very dangerous (purple) territory here but when I am er… (ahem) feeling kinda… you know… amorous, I guess then I have this song that I absolutely adore. No. It isn’t “bay-be, bay-be, oh bay-be” Barry White. It’s actually an African American woman called Phyllis Nelson who sings “Move Closer.” Well, I’m not gonna continue this any more except to say… the infamous bell that I refer to – and which that bloody Garry Parkes fixed me up on in his blasted spoof video where he trivialised my bell (I’m gonna get you back for that Parkesy – and you know that I can retaliate pretty good) – well, just ditch the bell.

Now, I can’t believe I have even written this stuff here tonight. I suppose my 4th JD may have something to do with it. After all, it IS Friday evening here and I have had a harrowing week doing all the stuff that I have done this week (the PPP#3 Tiger-Tigress article and bringing it all together with the introduction of Linda Caroll – see last thread). I have worked my bloody butt off doing all this on top of my “normal” activities on the blog and, all the while trying to run several businesses (very badly this week, I might add).

Anyway, I have struggled through. Now, I just did a Google search on Phyllis Nelson and I was saddened to learn that she died in 1998 in Los Angeles of breast cancer. IMHO this is one of the most haunting love songs of all time. I can listen to it 20 times in a row and not get tired of it. Er, don’t read too much into that Nix. I have left so much unexploded ordnance in this thread that you are gonna have a damn field day when you hit it – LOL!

Gary (in tune with his inner self this evening in Oz – just starting on JD #5 BTW)

PS: I just found this. http://www.homepagedaily.com/Pages/article5720-phyllis-nelson—move-closer.aspx – have a listen. Er, also disregard the idiotic comment above the clip. That was totally uncalled for. I hate SH*T like that! This is the voice of an angel. And she has been immortalized forever. Think about that, I’ll be talking about it in a future thread.

    Hey Gary

Not another power cut again is it? but yeah, this post was definately a good idea – maybe you could compile all of the songs mention here into something special like a AJ Students Music Playlist or Music Collection.

Oh and wouldn’t it be nice if ever we heard a song being played that was mentioned on this post made us remind of a particular one of us just like you were mentioning about a song which defined us – that would be truly great and memorable.

    All the best
    Nigel

  17. Ali Viljami

Good idea Nigel, would be great to have.

A little more techie thing would be to have the last mentioned song being played here. Connect the text with the track from a music database.

    /ali

  18. Gary

@ Nigel – Make your own inspirational compilation CD – it will have a LOT more meaning for YOU! I reckon bugger everyone else with this stuff – LOL. This is PERSONAL inspiration. That was my offering for everyone here.

@ Ali – Oddly enough I was doing just that while you were posting. And I have listened to it 3 times now, plus 5 JD’s. Er, somehow I don’t think I’m gonna be here much longer…

    Gary

  19. [Q]

You know, I’ve never really given it much thought. See, I have these tracks that don’t have lyrics. They’re combinations of ambient music and nature sounds that affect brainwave patterns. One for when I need to get fired up and one for when I need to relax. So I use those a lot. Yes, I’m a geek.

But there is one song that always, always fires me up now that I think of it. I remember the childhood memory that goes with it, and it makes me smile. Man, I was some piece of work as a kid. lol

    Good thread. :)

  20. Gary

    Linda!

You cannot say that without telling us the track. Come on. Share. I have already said WAY too much here and I have virtually destroyed my damn image immediately in this single thread!

I can almost hear the alpha males snickering away at all I have written here.

    Hi Gazz-Man,

Your post is really showing the powerful emotions that music can envoke.

Just to quickly go back to your earlier statement about getting good at using words or hiring a copywriter. I’ve a good friend in the UK who is a copywriter, who offers excellent rates and is currently offering a 10% discount to anyone who mentions my name. Details are in the ‘Resources’ page on my blog.

Just thought that was the ideal opportunity to offer her services to the F500 members.

Gary, come back here again in 5 years from now, and you will be surprised that you have may have started to like those songs that you didn’t like before.

This clearly happend to me with Sisters of Mercy. First time they were just crap. But maybe 3 years later they turned into be my favourites.
    /ali

  24. [Q]

    Linda!

You cannot say that without telling us the track.

Meh. It’s too weird. And the story that goes along with it is too long. I was a strange and unusual child. Pretty much the same as I am now. Just smaller, then.

  25. Vince

    Hello Gary, Vince here

Having had a car audio site that virtually runs on Automatic now because I have built it that way over ten years I too absolutely motivate myself by music. At almost 49 years old I don’t really care for the new stuff but U2 is one of my favorites, Exspecially streets have no name.

Gary, you have over 500-600 albums – this is a gold mind. Here is something you could do, put together all your best songs to motivate people and burn a disk and sell it on the internet. I would buy it in a heart beat.

You are right though – The albums I enjoy are Led Zepplin, Aerosmith, Deep purple, Journey, Tom Petty, U2, Animals, Cars, Reo Speedwagon,
Boston, and many more. I just pop them into my Bose Radio and I am
flying and off to the races because something about these songs kicks me in the pants and get me going, along with my cup of coffee of course.

  26. Gary

Well, um, that’s it from me tonight folks. I have some other things I, er, need to do…

(Jeez, if a certain person ever gets to see this I will get shot – LOL!)

  27. Colin

    Hi Gary,

    Hi Gazz-Man,

Continuing on from my previous post about my friend’s copywriting services.

Her name is Kate Naylor and her website is

    http://www.helpinthecity.com

She is highly skilled at both copywriting and direct marketing, with nearly 20 years experience. I can’t believe her rates are so cheap for the powerful sales copy she creates to your brief.

Normally you would expect to pay $1000′s for a good copywriter, but she only charges $100′s.

I suggest you take full advantage of her services if you can afford them.

Don’t forget to mention my name for a 10% discount.

Check out her website for examples of her work.

    Thanks Gazz-Man.

  31. Denis Caron

    Hi Gary:

Wow! I’ve owned upwards of 2,000 CDs, and only recently sold off about a quarter of those. I’m curious as to how many musicians we have out there…

As a musician myself, for over forty years, I believe that we look at music differently than most people. It comes from a different understanding of the media. Film makers or actors, look at films differently, authors look at the written word differently, a car mechanic, computer geek-and so on-not better, just differently. As an example, in my high school symphonic band, we gave a concert featuring the full version of “Tchaikovsky’s War of 1812 Overture”. To be a part of the creation of such an event, still gives me chills to this day.

As a drummer, to know what time signature a song is written, or to know what notes are being played, or actually being able to “hear” all of the instruments being played at the same time in an orchestra, gives one a different sense of the music. As a writer yourself, you have spoken of the “zone” before, it’s the same in music. It’s Nirvana. I was in an original band for 2 years and worked on original music the whole time. To create, is a whole different animal. You create, using the same emotions that you feel will be evoked in the listener. Composing a song utilizing the “minor notes” will provoke a sense of melancholy. Starting a new verse or chorus a half-step higher will produce a swell or surge of emotions in the listener and so forth-and you will forever feel that emotion while playing the piece. If you get fired up listening to ELP, imagine what it’s like for them, to be up on a stage in front of thousands playing that piece…

I’ve played before cheering crowds of hundreds (I was only small time) playing my heart out, and it’s like sex. Some musicians have said, “better than”…It’s orgasmic and addictive. There’s nothing like that kind of rush anywhere…

For personal music choices, I have all kinds of compilations-just depending on the mood. Not intending to be “Denny Downer”, but at my wake, my request is “Epitaph” by King Crimson…A stunningly, beautiful song…

I’d better end my treatise on musicology 101, before my comment becomes longer than your post. LOL…

  33. Nikki

For once I’m going to leave all the comments alone. There, that has to be a first for me!

Gaz-Man, I also love ‘Move Closer’ by Phyllis Nelson – I hadn’t listened to it for a while but clicked on your link & sang along (sorry!) – it’s on one of my more relaxing CD compilations…usually when having a couple of hours in the bath by candlelight. In fact, I might have to do that tonight now. It’s been too long.

One song that gets me every time, particularly when watching the video as well, is Christina Aguilera’s ‘Hurt’. There’s clearly a theme in there that hits straight home. I don’t think any other song has reduced me to tears every damn time I’ve watched it (the vid).

I also like Sinead O’Connor’s song ‘Nothing Compares To You’ – it’s another classic that I can sing at full volume (don’t you wish you were my neighbour?!).

I’m always listening to music. I rarely watch television as I find the programmes on offer are generally not to my taste, so music accompanies me everywhere. However, that isn’t to say that I have refined musical tastes! I like most things that I can dance and sing along with, so sometimes that’s a bit of cheese, sometimes some rock, a little metal, some pop, quite a bit of dance (but not too hardcore), all sorts! Anything that speaks to me at the time.

I’m always making my own compliations for the car as well, and they do tend to gravitate towards a certain theme or genre when I’m making them – my mood dictates what I choose to listen to.

However, that can also work the other way round – if I listen to something dancy and uplifting, then that can pull me out of any kind of despair (not that I’m often in that state – I’m usually quite happy in my world!).

Most of you will have realised that all of my post titles on my blog are song lyrics, and they come from a variety of different types of music. All things that spoke to me at the time with a certain relevancy though.

I agree with the point about sounds and smells and their attributions to particular memories. You can suddenly be transported to a completely different time & place – whoever said time-travel wasn’t possible?!

Lyrics and music can be very powerful. You’ve probably guessed by this point that I’m quite fascinated by lyrics (and music), and how they can make you feel.

Hmm – this was going to be a quick & short answer. But then The Purple Minxy Witch doesn’t like anything entertaining to be quick and short…

Scary Gary and Nix that you are mentioning “Move Closer”. I checked the Google result for our keyword Alex Jeffreys and it happens that I have position right after Gary. Not my plan. I wrote what I did to get closer on my blog, nothing entertaining.

Move closer is not my favourite but I like the sounds of the 80′s, the best decade so far, or maybe not. I think this decade is the best. I have problem living here and now.

I think Gary is sleeping like a baby now, but he shouldn’t, soon it’s game over.
    /Ali

  36. Gary

WOW! I just sat down at my keyboard and I have been utterly fascinated by the level of complexity of these replies. This is indeed nirvanic and gives me so much to think about. So, I will chunk these replies down and just answer the really relevant bits as I see them. I’ll do it in four hits …

    @ Ali – You said:

“Gary, come back here again in 5 years from now, and you will be surprised that you have may have started to like those songs that you didn’t like before.”

I know what you are saying. It has happened on the very ODD occasion but once I’m set on something that is usually it. Like I can elevate something that I don’t really like into the tolerable category. But if I detest something then that is where it pretty much stays. But I DO know what you mean. There is a heap more I could say on that (re people not songs) but for brevity (yeah sure!) it won’t be here – maybe in another thread. In fact, it has to do with the policeman in the pink shirt and tie (I have just made it topic #53 – while having my hair cut yesterday I jotted down 52 topics that I want to address here over the next couple of months)

PS: I do like the way you interact Ali & I am coming your way shortly…

@ Linda – I’m really cool with weird. People say I am weird and I wear it as a badge of honour. So, tell us. I notice you haven’t responded to my email on this either. At least do that… please! You know I am always interested in how you think.

@ Vince – Maybe you know something that I do not but I would have though to do such a thing would be a massive infraction of copyright law. I only do this stuff for myself – for personal use. I would never encourage copyright theft. I have been on the receiving end of that for years with my articles and it SUCKS. Thieves have stolen my articles, stripped the links and appended their own stinking names as the author. I have devised a way to hunt those people and I know who does it and one day there will be a Gazza-SLAP. That slap will involve copyright theft. I hope they are making lots of money off my work coz one day that money will come to its rightful owner – me! Enough rope…

This is why I have been warning anyone who will listen about being VERY careful about using copyrighted music in their videos. If those videos can be proven to have made for their creators a certain amount of money then the lawyers will almost certainly step in. Copyright theft is INDEFENSIBLE. Remember the case of George Harrison and his “My Sweet Lord” and its “similarity” to the previously released Chiffons‘ “He’s So Fine.” That cost George Harrison a poultice of money and a heck of a lot of grief. Not to mention a big dent to his reputation.

I like most of those artists that you listed to and I also LOVE Slade – Noddy Holder… now there is a ROCKER! “Mamma We’re All Crayzee Now!”

    Gary – more coming…

  37. Gary

Right! Now I am up to where I was last night before I became distracted by listening to Phyllis Nelson and… well… let’s just say… I had a greater priority.

    Moving right along…

@ Colin – Man, why would I be offended? I asked for an honest opinion and you gave it. I could hardly be offended. I am not a prima-donna. I can take hits. In fact, I would much rather an honest opinion that a contrived, doctored-up BS platitude any day of the week. I’m learning here too you know. Plenty. No need to make up for anything. But I will come and see what you said. Just gotta get this all up-to-date first and it is quite a job. So, Colin, I’m a happy chappie!

@ Nige – Slapped? Bad-Gary? He’s nowhere to be seen ATM. Nigel, maybe you mis-interpreted what I said or maybe you are just being somewhat playful with me yourself. I said that coz this stuff is for YOU. This music that I talk of is deep, soulful, moving stuff for individuals to feed off. Not for mass consumption or distribution. That is all I meant. :-)

@ Tommy – ahh. You are into weight training too huh? Good stuff. That takes incredible discipline. I do it every day – different body parts – split system stuff. Yeah, if you are doing mindless stuff like reps then music is great. Having said mindless though, it still takes concentration. I also like most U2 stuff. They are are very talented band indeed.

    More replies coming…

  38. Gary

@ Dave – Thanks for making that lady’s services available. I will certainly be interested to go and take a look at what the Kate-ster can do.

@ Denis – You say you had 2,000 odd CD’s. My brother is a drummer too and he has probably the same amount. He has an entire wall of his music room covered in CD’s. He is a well accomplished drummer and has played in several highly successful bands and been the support act for many international artists. You don’t get to do that if you are no good – LOL! He’s always tapping away to something.

I have seen him in action a few times over the years and it always makes me proud that he is my bro’ when I see him in full-flight smacking the living daylights out of every drum at a very rapid rate. I bought him some “autographed” Elvis Presley (yeah, I know) drum sticks when I was at the Sun Studios in Memphis Tennessee then got an artist to draw a large caricature of him from some photos, had it framed and presented it to him for his birthday last year. It now hangs above his bar.

    You said:

“… authors look at the written word differently…”

Indeed. Excellent point. These are the “colours” that artists paint with and the “notes” that musicians, such as yourself, play to. I really liked that comment. In fact, your entire post is power-packed with a LOT of great info and I commend you for sharing it here.

    You also said:

“If you get fired up listening to ELP, imagine what it’s like for them, to be up on a stage in front of thousands playing that piece…”

Oh yeah! Or what about those opening notes of Elton John’s “Benny and the Jets.” Hey kids shake it loose… And there are many other examples. Here are a few more (all oldies but goodies):

    * Layla by Eric Clapton
    * Smoke on the Water – Deep Purple
    * Radar Love – Golden Ear Ring
    * Guitar Man – David Gates and Bread
    * The Boys Are Back in Town – Thin Lizzy

… all high recognition and definition by playing just a couple of notes (lotsa riffs too!). Man, that is POWER!

Since you have mentioned : “Epitaph” by King Crimson, I will hunt it down and listen to it.

Denis, one thing my friend, I really don’t care how long your posts are if they contain information like that. It is irrelevant to me. That was a MIGHTY FINE offering! Mighty fine! I loved every word of it.

    Gary

  39. Gary

@ Garry – OK. I now have an excellent understanding of what wordpress does after my “EXPERIMENT” above and the reaction I got from the scumbag spammers. I will have more to say once I get through all the comments. Watch for it as it will be of interest to everyone.

@ Nikki – Ah, I have been savouring the moment till I get to you, my dear! (LOL). BTW – Listening to Denis’s recommended “Epitaph” by King Crimson ATM. It reminds me a bit of “Knights in White Satin” by the Moody Blues.

Heh… I just emailed Nix and I cannot believe what I just said on these matters – LOL.

You spend how LONG in the bath? Jeez! You must look like a bloody prune when you get out. Then again I’ll bet you are nice and relaxed (I guess you must keep topping up the hot water) and SO squeaky clean when you get out. I do love squeaky clean – in everything! (especially in Internet Marketing tho’ not everybody is – more on that shortly).

So, you like Phyllis Nelson too huh? Just as well we are NOT neighbours – or even in the same country for that matter – LOL! That song just does my head in. I reckon I have sat and watched that clip around a dozen times from last night to this morning. I believe you would have loved the purple misty haze in that clip too.

Do you wanna know something funny Nix? Well, doesn’t matter coz I’m gonna tell you anyway…

… I am so enamoured and enraptured with that woman’s voice that I can look completely past the way she looks. (re: what that person wrote about above the clip) In fact, I really don’t think the nasty comment is at all warranted anyway. Just coz she has spaced teeth. One thing that I have noticed about some of the greatest singers of all time is that many of them have “buck” teeth – example the late and great Freddie Mercury.

Just listening to “Hurt” as I type up my rather comprehensive replies to these wonderful comments … http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KEAD2dzDRE … dramatic piece from a singer with a powerful voice. Nice. But not on my hit parade. However…

Sinead O’Connor’s song ‘Nothing Compares To You’ now THAT is haunting indeed. I do adore that! I remember when Iit first came out and I saw it on TV iwas transfixed by the words and the performance of them. And here it is … http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rO8JWbG6bVw.

    This pleases me:

“I’m usually quite happy in my world!”

When we are happy and content then our creativity has time to shine. That is when we are in the “zone.” (Re: Denis’s reference to me saying this at times) This was EXACTLY the state I was in when I wrote “The Power of Choice.” And I think it was Dave Pumfrey, on another thread, who said, “it blew me away!” Just adding that to what Denis Caron said above about ELP and the rush those guys must get when they perform “Fanfare for the Common Man” live on stage – I know the feeling Denis. As the author of “Power of Choice,” I know. Trust me. I do. Anyway, I’m gonna bring that link into a thread soon and let people judge it for themselves.

I am so glad you said this too Miss Nix (coz I know about your “project” :-) ):

“You can suddenly be transported to a completely different time & place – whoever said time-travel wasn’t possible?!”

YES! YES! YES! A brilliant observation and a distinct bridge that I wanted somebody to build from my opening salvo of commentary. Well done, Nix! These are EXACTLY the type of comments that I want to draw out of people.

Er, re your final comment – DITTO!

    Gary

  40. Hilary Dickinson

Well I’m going to up the tone before I sign off for the night…

I was brought up with classical music and did a lot of singing in a variety of choirs as I was growing up.

One of those was our local church choir and I learnt a lot about music from the choirmaster. My dad was in the choir for most of his life and my two sisters and I were all head choristers at one time. My nephew is now a chorister in Truro Cathedral choir, so I guess you could say it runs in the family.

Anyway, the one choral piece that always sends a shiver down my spine is
    Allegri’s Miserere: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=x71jgMx0Mxc.

To hear the soaring treble (about 1:45 in) always gives me the chills.

There’s lots of other pieces too from the classical tradition, but just to show that I do have a wider taste I really enjoy Dire Straits ‘Brothers in Arms’ – the guitar riff is incredible. Wish I could play like Mark Knopfler!

Maybe I’ll add some other choices later, but that will do for now.

    Night!

“Move closer….move your body real close until we….feel like we’re really making love…”

Apologies if that isn’t completely accurate, I’m doing it from memory! And it’s been in my head all evening!

Different songs will resonate with different people for different reasons, e.g. you & Garry above (well before my essay of a post). I have my reasons for the Christina Aguilera song affecting me the way it does. However, I can completely appreciate that to normal people it may not mean anything at all. By no means is it one of my favourite songs, but there’s something in there that gets into my subconscious (poor song!) and has a pretty profound effect on me. It isn’t necessarily a positive thing either!

    It’s 3am. I’ve gone beyond the turning-into-a-pumpkin stage. I’m going to bed!

    Goodnight to you all…

    Ali – You said:

“Scary Gary and Nix that you are mentioning “Move Closer”. I checked the Google result for our keyword Alex Jeffreys and it happens that I have position right after Gary. Not my plan. I wrote what I did to get closer on my blog, nothing entertaining.”

Hmm. Don’t wanna say too much here Ali… but if you don’t take one hat off and put one of a darker hue on then you ain’t even gonna get close, my friend. That little game has no winners at all and hence, I am not even trying. Why bother? I am not the Dark Knight. There are a LOT of people who know EXACTLY what is going on behind-the-scenes.

Suffice to say that the White Knights are all up on the hill visible but the Dark Knights are all in the valleys doing what they do best – fighting in the shadows over who has the biggest farmlets and farms. Some of the identities are rather interesting. But that is all I will say. Besides I am better off doing what I do than play that fool’s game.

    Back to more pleasant matters…

    Gary

  44. Gary

Hi Hils – It’s always good when somebody brings some class into the commentry. I refer, of course, to your affinity for classical type music. I listened to that piece – thanks for the link BTW. I have to say it didn’t do all that much for me as in the spine tingle BUT…

… have you EVER seen such stats for a film clip on You Tube? – 161,548 views and 333 comments. That is ASTONISHING! RIGHT! That does it! 334 here I come – LOL!

All that matters is that YOU respond to it and that is the WHOLE point of this thread.

Just on classical music though… that is what I listen to when I am writing my novels. I find it puts me in a very creative mood. I switch to classical if I hit a road block, but it doesn’t happen all that often. My mind is like a freeway most of the time and I’m the only one on it – in my Lamborghini – LOL!

Mark Knopfler is indeed one of the greatest guitarists in the world. I can appreciate his wonderful talent but Dire Straits is just something I can easily listen to without getting wonderfully excited.

I watched your 1st video the other day and commented on it. Having heard the timbre and quality in your voice I would say that you probably are one heck of a singer. Unlike me! So what you hinted at above comes as no surprise to me.

    Gary

PS: I fixed that little error so don’t worry about it. I do stuff lkike that just as a matter of course. No biggie. LOL!

Nix – All understood except the pumpkin bit. I’d say more like a sweet tater!

Oh, and THANKS! Thanks a lot! I had just managed to get that bloody song out of my head and in you come with:

“Move closer….move your body real close until we….feel like we’re really making love…”

    Oddly enough, last night… BAD!

    Thanks a lot darls!

FOLLOW UP TO SPECIAL NOTICE ABOUT WORDPRESS – SEE ABOVE

Well, it would seem that my predictions were correct and my “experiment” has given me all the proof that I need. So, to let you know what I now know, here are the results:

1 – look inside your spam folder EVERY day for legitimate comments that can and WILL get caught up there. WordPress will quarantine ANY comment that is made that contains even ONE external link – even to sites like You Tube.

2 – Try not to use links in your post unless it is absolutely necessary. If you are gonna embed a link here then realise that it may get quarantined before I see and release it. Your own wordpress blog probably operates the same way.

3 – Do NOT mention the words that attract this garbage on your own blogs. The word v-i-agr-a did indeed attract the EXACT email as the other day. I have therefore altered the word at the top of the page in the NOTICE, after the event, so YOU know the meaning but the spiders do not.

This has been a most enlightening experiment and discovery. Now YOU know too.

    Hi,

Just thought I would add this. It is one of my all time favourites when I am in a reflective mood. It’s Kiki Dee’s “Amoureuse.” Listen to the richness of this woman’s exquisite voice.

I want to dedicate this to you Linda Caroll – especially the LAST THREE WORDS. I know you will pick them up before you get to the grand finale. (Remember our email exchange the other day? Too funny! :-) But I do hope you enjoy it for the pure beauty of the song.)

    Here’s Kiki Dee: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3qOADMjY_k

DJ Gary – I’m having FUN with this thread.

  48. Nigel Yip

    Dear Gary,

If you think I’m “somewhat playful” then playful I am NOT!!! Infact playful in my daily life whether online or offlin, it is not a word that I would wish or associate myself with, especially this year, and NO!!!, I am not playing any tricks, cons or anything with you or anyone else.

As for humour, if I come across as somewhat Avoir le sens de l’humour, whether that be a tiny amount or a large dosage, then I cannot advise on how you came to such judgement about moi, nor do I know why or explain to you why I may posess such impression. I simply state what is on my mind at the point in time.

    Anyway, all the best
    Nigel

  49. Gary

Um Nigel – It was an innocent comment. Not sure how you are taking it. If you found it offensive somehow then that was not how it was intended. But I struggle to see how what I said actually could be regarded as anything but friendly in nature. Nevertheless, if you are annoyed just brush it aside. :-) It’s no biggie.

Man, I’m looking forward to your interviews, we can do two if you like, one for bad gaz and one for good, lol

    Speak to you soon!

    Hi Gary,

I have just been to Garry´s blog and congratulated him on the 3rd ppp, quite superb, your own contribution was as ever, a kick in the pants just when we need it the most !

I cannot believe how different everything is in the space of less than a week, your site is going “hypersonic”.

I have posted a video of the trip on my site, if you have a few minutes to spare go over and take a gander. The version you will see is the edited version, the original was over an hour long, we had some pretty heavy seas to navigate so the language was a bit blue. The video below is the first of many tutorials that I will be posting, I´m thinking long term now, lots of ideas and plans coming together..

    All the best,

    Paull

    Gary ,

I forgot what I wanted to say to you in the first place.

Storm in a teacup by the Tremoloes, circa 1970´s, first and by far the best record I ever bought, well that and all the Foo Fighters albums !

  53. Denis Caron

    Hi Gary:

    Okay then, Part 2-

The younger generations have missed out on the “experience” of music the way it used to be in the “old days”. I remember the feeling of excitement when a new album was purchased. I would clear my calendar and sit alone with the new LP, for it was an experience-I would first soak in the visual of the cover-so many contained incredible artwork. Next I would slit the cellophane, followed by the sound of the fresh binding cracking open for the first time (Whew. Stop me-I’m starting to feel lightheaded). I would then wipe off the LP and set it on the turntable and then just sit there reading all the lyrics as the aural experience of the album unfolded before my ears…When it was finished, the album would be placed in a protective plastic sleeve as well as a plastic cover to protect the cover from rubs, tears or the dreaded LP visible worn mark.

My genre of music does lend itself perhaps a little more to that kind of experience then say a pop album. Music for me, was a total experience. Just like a great movie or book. I want to hear a beginning, building to a crescendo and then the denouement. Many LPs of the genre were conceptual in nature. The whole album was a theme with all songs as movements, or parts of the whole. My genre is progressive or symphonic rock-Rock based on classical themes, accomplished musicianship, strong interplay between varied instrumentation, extended song lengths, multiple time signatures, and thought provoking lyrics. That movement today is still strong, just more underground, for it’s not a money maker. My best example of a modern band would be “Pain Of Salvation” from Sweeden. Check them out with this video on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mvae5Lt0smI&feature=related.

It’s music and theater. Although, not for everyone, for it does get a little heavy in the end, but it’s a remarkable piece.

One more thing-Pandora.com. Check it out. It’s a new kind of streaming radio station for the computer, that plays only the kind of music that you like. You make up a name for your songlist, and you then pick out a few songs that you like. The station then analyzes the components and then streams music with similar characteristics. You can set up as many different song lists as you want-Pretty cool.

I think a post of mine got lost in your moderation netherworld. There were some sites mentioned in it.

    Denis

  55. Ali Viljami

Im popping by here and will be away for a while. Thought I should say so due to that I have made some comments. Have to work.

    Gary –
I think I will turn back to think about music instead, anyway the light will win over the dark

    Paul –
I bought Queens first album by mistake when I should have bought something more modern. But I like that album. It is something special with the first. I have never learned to like Foo Fighters but I know there are tracks that are very good for me. But I loved Nirvana, and still like.

    Denis –
How is it being musical? Do you like artist that may not play that perfect? I often like artists first productions. When they turn to be more established (and maybe more perfect) I dont have the same feeling for them. I’m not musical, only have the feeling.

    /ali

  56. Ali Viljami

forgot the “l” again Paul, aaarghh

  57. Gary

@ Mark – You are a funny dude. Two interviews – that made me smile. How about a couple of song choices from you? Be over a bit later Mark to splatter your site with… something.

@ Paull – I watched the 15 min version of your video last night and then twittered you (God that sounds dopey!). I think it is superb and it shows you really know what you are doing. Tremoloes and Foo Fighters huh? Neither are my cup of tea but if they “float YOUR boat” (like that?) then that is ALL that matters. Put ‘em on and crank it up. LOL!

@ Denis – Another thoughtful post full of passion. I was there with you mate – with you savouring that album. I was sitting there WITH YOU. That is the mark of a good writer – to bring the reader into his or her world. You did good there – and I have seen you do it quite a few times now (eg when you “walked through the curtain” over at Nikki’s. That was fun too). I will definitely check out that link (and yes – that is why it went “Netherworld” – see my WORDPRESS NOTICES above). I’ll also check out the Pandora.com site – sounds interesting – a website trying to psycho-analyze me. Now, I will LOVE to see what it comes up with – and NODDY HOLDER had better be in there or I will think it is a BS site – LOL! Man, that guy has the most powerful rock voice of all time IMHO. Nobody can belt out a song like the great Noddy – well his real name is Neville. What a stentorian voice he has.

@ Ali – the one thing that the light has going for it – apart from honesty, fairness, openness, integrity and accountability – is that Google is WHITE world. Any darkness within Google’s white world will be blinded by the great white Google slap. Those who want to do this sh*t can only do it for so long before it is detected by Google and then WHAM! KO. It may not be in the first round, or even the second round but everyone knows their rules and everyone had better play by them coz they are the heavyweight champ of the Internet.

    Thanks guys!

    Gary

  58. JT Martin

    Hi Gary,

I have always used music as a motivator in my life. Back in the day when I was playing football. (not the kind where you kick the ball around) I did a lot of weight training. I always listened to stuff like “Enter The Sandman” or any Metallica for that matter, or some Black Sabbath, basically any heavy metal type music that would make me feel MEAN.

My faves are mostly guitarist because I like to strum a little myself. The genres run the gambit and include the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Al Dimeola, George Benson, Steve Howe, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santanna, I could go on for ever.

Lately I have been learning a few songs by the Laurie Berkner band because that is my 3 year old daughters favorite. (and they are fairly easy to play) I said I like to strum a bit, I never claimed to be any good at it. LOL

Music has to be one of the most powerful mediums around. There is nothing better to set the mood or tone for yourself or an event. I listen to music almost 24 hours a day. Right now as I write this I am listening to an old Yes albumn, “Close To the Edge”.

My guitar playing is what I do when I take a break. I like to go out on the porch and relax. It quiets my mind up and lets the emotions flow freely. It’s almost a form of meditation. Especially when I play some thing that I know really well or just kind of “free form” and let stuff happen.

If I am trying to teach myself a song it is a little more like work. By the way Garry P., I just got to where I can play “Give A Little Bit” pretty good. It sounds good on my 12 string. My 6 string, the one in my avatar, got broken and its FUBAR. (Damned kids) So I am limited to playing stuff on my 12 string for now.

Gary, I don’t know if your interested but I thought I would tell you. I belong to a membership site which is called Traffic Kahuna. It is $147 a month and I think it’s worth every penny. They are opening up the doors tomorrow to take on a few more members.

I don’t recommend this for some one who is not willing to put forth the effort but I know that is not you. There is lots of training and tools but like any thing you have to apply them to get results. If you are interested, do it now because the spots will be gone in a matter of hours.

I waited 6 months to get in. Come by JT land to learn more. Oh yeah, JT stands for James Timothy. My Mother’s family had to many people named James so every one had a nick name.

Hi JT – Thanks for all that. Finally, we learn about what JT stands for! The Traffic Kahuna sounds interesting but I have my hands FULL at the moment (plus that other little matter) so I couldn’t possibly fit it in. In fact, I have way too many balls in the air right now as I try to keep juggling them all. But I do thank you most sincerely for the heads up on that. I am diarising it so that I don’t forget.

I have dabbled with the guitar for many years. I picked it up again a few months ago and taught myself a fair bit of “Jessica” by the Allman Brothers now THAT is some piece of music!

Thanks JT. Sit tight. I’ll keep you posted.

    Gary

PS: Loved the opening comment about “MEAN.” I can do mean. I saw (over on Parkesy’s) that you are a heavyweight yourself (ie together we weigh in at 600lb – maybe we should go in for the WWE – LOL!) and I get this vision of a “runaway train goin’ down the track.” The JT EXPRESS – get on board or get OUT of the friggin’ way! LOL!

  60. Nikki

    Hey, me again!

I like the Foo Fighters song ‘The Pretender’, and they usually have some very silly music videos to accompany their songs (although the one for The Pretender is reasonably normal!).

I’m flicking through different songs on YouTube at the moment – I’ve decided that I have strange taste in music!

The only thing I ever learned on a guitar was Deep Purple’s ‘Smoke On The Water’ riff – although that was years ago. Couldn’t play it now, I have stupidly long nails most of the time – not conducive to guitar playing! Although they are brilliantly effective for other things…

    Nix

  61. Gary

Jeez Nix – you bloody crack me up at times. In fact, MOST of the time. Your humour is so wicked. Just when I think you are under “control” (LOL) out comes something. That last sentence just made me laugh coz I was following it all down to the end, almost, and then BANG! Too bloody funny by far. This is my style of humour to a tee.

Now, having said that just stay subtle. Subtle is good. Don’t do a Gazz-Man and just hit everyone with a tsunami (as Denis Caron wrote over at your blog). That is my specialty – unfortunately.

By the way… I have spoken about how much I like Slade and Noddy Holder a lot on this blog. And here is why. Have a listen to the unbridled POWER of this man’s voice…

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLsw668PVyY&feature=related

If you want more then try this (it’s a bit more manic)…

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9m-loYwaCJI&NR=1

IMHO this is a guy in TOTAL control and you get the feeling that he has plenty in reserve if he really wanted to let rip (that is why I admire his voice so much).

Here is a more reserved execution of that power. Note how far AWAY that microphone is (and this was 1970′s technology!)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0NpJ7mcfPo&feature=related

But there are always two sides to every coin. And that should never be lost on any of us.

Compare that raw power to this…

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1A5pWg2rtNc&feature=related

Sorry to turn your post into a SLADEFEST but this is my favourite heavy rock band of all time and Noddy Holder is, again IMHO, the greatest rock singer of all time. He’s a bloody LEGEND! Just MY opinion.

    IT’S CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every year at Xmas that’s all over the TV here in the UK, not sure whether the rest of the world has that pleasure?

He was recently advertising Nobby’s Nuts in the UK as well (“Not Noddy’s, NOBBY’S!!”). Cue lots of people chasing him for his nuts.

Yeah…my kind of humour. My bad.

    Nix

PS – Going to listen to the tracks now – so, in the words you love to quote:

    I’ll Be Back!

  63. Nikki

    Here’s 3 of the adverts in 1 clip http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=WT8hxXvIn0E

It was the first one (Nobby’s Nuts rather than the crisps) that I was referring to above…

    Nix

  64. Gary

I’ll be waiting. And don’t forget, “If it bleeds I can kill it.” And if it doesn’t bleed then I can probably destroy it. Not that I wanna destroy anything… much LOL!

  65. Nikki

Please check your spam folder – I posted the link to the Nobby’s Nuts advert, but it disappeared somewhere…

  66. Nikki

    Thanks sweetie!

  67. Gary

Sure thing honey plum princess, er PURPLE honey plum, that is.

  68. Nikki

Now all I have in my head is “Not Noddy’s; NOBBY’S!!!”.

That, and a particular song that I haven’t been able to get out of my mind…

  69. Gary

Nikki – Thank you so much for finding that clip. The adverts are VERY funny. We haven’t seen any of them over here.

I’m so glad that Noddy is still active and able to trade off his great fame. I would dearly love to see him start singing again. This guy was a SERIOUS talent of the 70′s when I was trying to grow up. As, you can see – I failed miserably in that regard coz I still have a very childish element about me which is rather evident on this blog from time to time – especially if I have been imbibing some syrup. LOL!

I should stay off the blog at those times but I figure – what the heck. This is me. If people don’t like it then they can just read what I say, think “what a D*CKH**D!” and leave. I really don’t care. But that would be a pity coz I do have my moments and I feel as though I do raise some interesting topics for everyone from time to time.

    Gary

  70. Nikki

Noddy is also occasionally a guest on a comedy music panel show we have here called “Never Mind The Buzzcocks”, so he is still doing things even if it isn’t necessarily singing. Will see if I can find you a clip of him in action.

You don’t stop having fun because you grow old; you grow old because you stop having fun.

I for one welcome your posts and ensuing comments whether you are enjoying a bevy or otherwise.

    Hi Gary:
I’m going to answer a comment from you here, that you posted over at Garry’s (didn’t want to hi-jack his site) because it strictly relates to only you.

Wow, you really put your head on the chopping block, by publicly stating that you would allow me to post my internet marketing poem over here at the “temple” sight unseen. What happens if Garry says, “Sorry mate-no thanks-piece of crap.” Then you’re stuck. What did I do to deserve that kind of endorsement? Such an unselfish act as that, really means a great deal to me, and reveals your true nature (although we all know it anyway)-a truly nurturing soul and one who genuinely thinks of others.

Whatever anyone takes away from this course, the one thing that can never be taken away are the bonds of friendship that have been formed here between yourself and all the rest of us. I’m going to speak for everyone here and tell you Gary, that you are the glue that holds all the students together here at the AJ house. Your thoughts, views and altruistic actions speak volumes of your dedication not to internet marketing, but to the rest of us and our success. I’ll stop now for I can feel you blushing…

You, sir, are a gift to the rest of us-THANKS! Can I get a Hallelujah!!!

    From the heart,
    Denis

  73. Denis Caron

Gary, if you’ll permit me to answer Ali’s question…

    Ali:

My take on the debut offering of a new band, and why many people prefer earlier efforts, all boils down to money. When a band is first signed, they are unknown and the record company doesn’t know if they will succeed or not. The record company spends a lot of money on that first production. Also no one knows how many years that band has been together or how many great songs were waiting in the wings, for that debut effort.

If the first album (CD, download…) is a major hit, then the record company puts A TON of pressure on the sophomore release of a band to: 1). Produce a successful follow up as quickly as they can to ride the popularity wave. 2). Now the band has a distinctive sound and the record company forces the band to write songs that are similar to the previous successful effort. Success makes it very difficult for a band to be creative and try new ideas. What happens if it bombs? They get dumped. What happens if it succeeds? It’s because people are familiar with them and want to hear more of the same.

Ah, there’s the rub. The trick is to still be fresh and creative, but maintain your identity. A monumental task. I am overgeneralizing a bit, but you get the idea.

In recent years, with the advent of the internet, new bands can take control of their own destiny. I personally do not know of any new successful bands that have become popular because of internet marketing? Why not? If one views a band as a commodity, then why not follow all the standard procedures of an internet marketer and use all those tools available.

Create music, put up a blog, get the word out-with social marketing, put videos on Youtube, and then digital downloads. Okay-who wants to create a band?…

    Denis

  74. Nikki

    Denis

I completely agree with all that you have said above, but in particular:

“Whatever anyone takes away from this course, the one thing that can never be taken away are the bonds of friendship that have been formed here between yourself and all the rest of us. I’m going to speak for everyone here and tell you Gary, that you are the glue that holds all the students together here at the AJ house. Your thoughts, views and altruistic actions speak volumes of your dedication not to internet marketing, but to the rest of us and our success.”

However, I would also like to add Garry Parkes to that list of the glue – between Gary and Garry, they have provided the lighthouse to our ships both in the internet marketing world and beyond. (In my case, I have a purple sparkly feather boa for a boat – not so good for floating, but great for getting people’s attention!).

As for the band, I have no discernible musical talent, so I’ll be the groupie!!

I was going to comment over on Garry’s blog regarding your poem as well – as I enjoy your written work, I would be more than happy to see it! So you are more than welcome to post it over at the Lair Of Temptation!

    Nix

  75. Garry Parkes

Hi Guys (Gary must be sleeping – does he do that occasionally?)

Nix – thanks for those kind words. I do my best ;-) along with many others in the group.

I totally endorse both what Denis and you say. There have been some great friendships established while on this journey together. Ones that I really hope will last long into the future. In the end a major strength in the F500 is the way we have all pulled together and helped one another. I really can’t think of a bad word said anywhere on any of the blogs. Long may that continue.

Gary, when you wake up check out the video over at my blog. Now I have featured you in it again (sorry no bells this time, LOL). I’m a bit worried that your struggling to get your video up for yourself so I’ll give you a supporting acting role in mine :-)

The video is the one I promised last week called “Dominating Twitter” (don’t get excited with the title Nix!). Anyone who is serious about Twitter or wants to be should check it out. Plus I’m compiling a F500 Twitter Blogroll as well (you’ll see why when you read my post)

I used Windows Movie Maker to edit this one after seeing Paull Hamilton’s video and saw that it offered similar features to the software I used before. Thanks for that Paull (I’ve already left a comment on your blog).

Catch up with you all tomorrow.

    Garry

  76. Garry Parkes

Whoops, my comments stuck in bl**dy Gary’s moderation queue. Have to wait until he awakens :-(

I’ll see if this comment get’s through, which will be bizarre if it does!

Denis – re. your poem. I’ve put a comment up on my blog (not had chance until now as pretty busy over most weekends). But I think it would be a geat idea. Send it over.

  77. Gary

Gee, you guys ARE actually embarrassing me somewhat. Those who don’t like me (and there will be many – let’s not kid ourselves here) will be shoving their fingers down their throats to have a damn good puke – LOL.

I do thank you guys for those sentiments. It means a LOT to me. And it is reciprocated. I am like a mirror. What you see is what you get and all is returned unto you that is given. Gee, that sounded rather philosophical.

    Gary

  78. Nikki

    Gary, Garry, Denis et al,

This is all prompting me into a little rant / mission – don’t worry, as it’s 1.40am here I’m not going to do it now, but I know what my next blog post will be about! So thanks for the inspiration!

Er, I should point out that it’s a positive rant / mission that I’ve got brewing!

Too many late nights for me lately, think I’ve fried what’s left of my mind…

    Nix

  79. Gary

@ Nikki – Thanks for the “Noddy” stuff. I found all of it VERY funny. Then again, I find lotsa stuff exceedingly funny and I am the ONLY one laughing. People think I am quite mad but I think I am the only sane one. Hmm, maybe that IS the definition of insanity – LOL!

@ Denis – “Hallelujah!!!” dude – a very witty (and very long) piece. You gotta stop being encouraged by the length of my prose here. LOL! I completely agree with all you said on the bands too. My brother is a “muso” and I see and hear a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff. Many (so-called) “singers” are a product of massive promotion machines and, like certain Google rankings, they aren’t worth their status while more talented people are left lamenting.

We have a “singer” over here in Oz who is on the radio every 15 minutes. The song is cr*p, the tune is cr*p and she is cr*p. I don’t know ANYONE in my circle of friends who like her… well, cr*p (sorry to say this)… and yet she is being promoted like hell. She is getting massive exposure and we are being TOLD to like her. And to me that is just cr..

    Mini rant over!

@ Garry – Thanks Garry for your kind words. And I don’t sleep much actually. I’ll catch up when I am dead. Plenty of time for nodding off then – LOL! All the time in the world, in fact.

@ Nix (again) – Nix, one evening we are gonna “BLITZ” your site with stuff. Just pick a time. Thanks for your “lighthouse” comments. Er, rather appropriate actually. A rampant lighthouse spearing up skywards, dominating the landscape. (That should amuse you…) Yes, you do command attention – LOL!

Sorry that the replies were late in coming… Australia Day celebrations got in the way.

Thanks for the wonderful comments you folks.

PS: Don’t forget we were the FIRST to win the America’s Cup off the USA. And (Parkesy) we have been world champions in cricket for so long now, time to step down and give you guys a chance – LOL (pig’s ars* – Aussie vernacular for pig’s derriere).

Aussies punch WAY above their weight on the international stage. Yes… THAT was my parochialism talking…

    AUSTRALIA DAY TODAY – 26 JANUARY 2009

  81. Garry Parkes

Happy Australia Day Gary and all fellow Aussies,

My family and I were actually nationalized as Austrialian citizens on Australia Day 2001. It was an even more special occasion that year as it was the Centenary so we were very honoured to be awarded it on that day by the State Premier.

TV cameras were there and everything and my daughter (toddler at the time) was filmed waving an Australian flag and the 20-30 second edited shot opened and closed the National Television News Bulletin that evening and finished with a closeup of here face. We were so pleased and very thrilled.

A movie star in the making, LOL. Only thing was one of my sons (her twin) asked why he wasn’t on TV and he was stood next to here during the filming!! How do you explain that to a 2 year old !! I guess she made a more photogenic picture then he did !!

    Hi Gazz-man,

I think I may have solved your small technical issue with download links at Paypal and payment issues. I’ll be making a post on my blog later today explaining what I’ve learned.

It’s pretty simple really – but like most things it’s only simple when you know how and fully understand what’s going on!

Enjoy Australia Day Gary (not too difficult for you I’m sure) and a Happy Australia Day to all your fellow Aussies!

    Dave

  83. Tommy McLaughlin

    Hi Gazz-Man,

    Happy Australia Day

Got family in Mackay City so no doubt they will be celebrating as well ….

Was speaking to my niece who I have not seen in 5 years and see speaks in an Aussie accent now ,……

    Lovely

    Anyhoos, speak soon

” Neighbours , everyone needs good neighbours la la la la la ”

Sorry just getting into the spirit there ha ha ha ;-)

    Cheers

    Tommy

  84. Paull Hamilton

    Hi Gary,

Just a quick one to wish you a very happy Australia day, I will be toasting you all with a cold tinny, well a bottle of San Miguel actually, not quite Fosters, but the sentiments there !

Still in the middle of Matrix land here but with a bit of luck the problem will be resolved soon..

Thanks for that Garry, I’m glad you found some useful information in the video, can’t wait for the Twitter video.

    All the best,

    Paull

  85. Dave Pumfrey

    Hi Gazz-Man,

Just to inform you I’ve now created the post on my blog about PayPal customisation, which may be all you need to resolve your small technical issue. It will also be of use to the other F500 members who have set up their Profit Pulling Platform.

    The link is below

    http://www.davepumfrey.com/paypal-payments/how-to-change-the-text-on-the-orange-paypal-button-after-payment/

It should ensure your customers get immediate access to the JV Giveaway traffic generation videos, reduce customer frustration and reduce refund requests.

    To our success,

    Dave

  86. Denis Caron

    Hi Gary:

    Happy Australia Day!

You’re not taking any time off. What are you cooking up with that latest post for today?

    Although I couldn’t comment about it there…Something’s brewing…mmmmmm, smells delicious…

    Denis

  87. James Woodfield

Yes, happy Australia Day, Gary. Hope you had a great time!
    You certainly deserve time off…
You also deserve the accolades, and I don’t hear any puking at all!

Speaking of accolades, I think Aaron Copland deserves a mention, for writing Fanfare for the Common Man 35 years before ELP got hold of it and made it rock…

Just left a recommendation for your Action Planner over at Ross Carrel’s site (http://thebosspublishing.com/blog/) where he’s set up a competition relating to getting one’s time organised. So there are probably going to be even more people with reason to thank you!

  88. Theresa Mayhew

    Gary,
Great post/article. Just right in length, but would welcome subtitles.

This subject is one close to my heart. I love most music and collected quite a range of genres for my massage clients. You never know what will relax some people, so I made sure to have a good variety.

Ave Maria moves me to tears. It was my mother’s favorite and I feel closer to her when I hear it.

Any Moody Blues will get me up and dancing. I like Start Me Up by the Rolling Stones. BTW, I removed my video from the net and replaced it with one of me instead. You’re welcome to come back and watch it.

You always inspire us to think outside the box and I appreciate that about you, Gary.
    Warmly,
    Theresa

  89. Thom Swartwood

    Gary,

Happy Australia Day, Kind of wish I were there now. That is one of the places I want to visit before I leave this earth. Wife and I have been talking about it for some time now. I want to go when the Great Whites are running. Want to go down in a shark cage.

I really did like your post.. I have been thinking about what music gets me going and why. One of them is (don’t laugh) Garth Brook’s Ireland. I like the song for the message. It does not matter what cards we have been dealt, or what the odds against us are we are going to find a way around them.

Sorry I have not posted earlier, I have been up to my ears in work, teaching, and my video… oh and also painting and wall papering. There really is not enough hours in the day.

    I will stop back soon.

    Thanks again

    Thom

  90. Denis Caron

Hi Nikki via Gary (he’s busy today, he won’t mind)

Thanks for the vote of confidence about the poem as well. I had to go back and re edit, to tone it down a bit. Don’t want all you nice people to be going down any dark paths with me. It’s actions like yours and Gary’s, that make me proud to call all you good folks fellow students as well as friends. Looking forward to visiting the Liar when your rant appears.

You’re also right about Garry Parkes. Sorry Garry-I mistakenly momentarily overlooked your immense dedication and contribution to the success of us all as well, while extolling the virtues of Mr. Simpson. Thanks guys. Shooting out the poem to you all shortly. (Gary you should have something from me already).

Also Gary, when are you going let us in on what Linda has planned for us?

    Denis

  91. Hilary Dickinson

    Hi Gary

Happy Australia Day! I’m sure that you will enjoy it. :)

Short post as I’m pretty tired. Just wanted to add my voice to those who are thanking you and Garry – I really appreciate your blogs as places to come and be a part of what is going on in the F500.

I had an email from Linda so I’m looking foward to working with her. Thanks for introducing her to us.

    Hilary

  92. Gary

More replies coming… been SUPER DUPER busy. And here they are (belatedly). Sorry, I have been running around lkike a madman over here (“So, what else is new Gazza?”).

@ Parkesy – I KNEW it! That’s why I like you – YOU are an Aussie! – even if you had a “bad” upbringing. LOL.

@ Dave – Thanks mate. I will be KEENLY interested in your Paypal solution coz Paypal has NO IDEA how to fix it. The Paypal “solution” (p155 ‘em off quick without helping anyone – just GET THEM off the “help” desk) is no solution at all. Paypal would have to employ THE most pathetic, enfeebled, puerile so-called “helpers” on the entire planet. USELESS! An average 6 year old would be MORE helpful! There – does that say what I REALLY think of them – HOPELESS IN THE EXTREME. If they worked for me – SUPER GLAD they don’t – I’d sack them for GROSS incompetence. Cop that Paypal!

@ Tommy – Ugh! That show is – sorry to say this word again – CR*P. But thanks for your good wishes. I appreciate that. Not bloody “Neighbours.” I honestly dunno what anyone sees in that junk. It is GORMLESS! Australia is MUCH better than that dribble. However, I guess it ropes people into coming here and taking a look around. So, it’s probably good for tourism. Come to think of it… GOOD ON YOU “Neighbours!”

@ Paull – Thanks Paull. If you want good beer then try Japanese. That is mostly what I drink. The BEST beer in the world (IMHO of course) is Sapporo, then Asahi and then Kirin. Fancy that huh? Drinking Japanese beer on Australia Day. Then again, if WWII had gone the other way… hmm. Konichi Wa? LOL!

@ Dave (again – LOL) – I’m coming over Dave coz that Paypal problem really IRKS me and they couldn’t care less. It has cost me a LOT of time, so I’m gonna see how you have resolved it. Thanks Dave!

@ Denis – There is DEFINITELY something “brewing” Denis and the Gazz-Man never forgets his friends. You will learn as soon as it “cooks.” LOL! I tell you what… you guys have NO IDEA what Linda and I am up to. But, if I were you, I’d jump when the call is made. This lady can really do the biz!

@ James – Good on you James. I appreciate your comments. I really do. But I am not naive. There will be plenty out there who hate my guts. And that is good coz while they are doing that me and the others will leave them in our wakes. Thanks for the reference at old Bossy-Boots’ blog too. I’m still not sure what “Ross-the-Boss” does but it is a catchy title. I give him credit for that.

@ Theresa – Thanks Theresa. Is there another bit in your video where you chuck a handful of snow at me and say “This is for you Gary Simpson!” That gave me a bit of a shock, then a chuckle. I’ll have to see your newie – be over soon. Massage huh? Well, I guess you really do know what “inspires” people. Oh BE-have!

“Ave Maria” is indeed a beautiful song. So is “Prayer” – when it is sung by the likes of Pavarotti. We have a lady in Australia – Judith Durham – she was the lead singer of the Seekers, a big Aussie touring group of the seventies. I have a friend who is a friend of hers and I got an autographed poster just recently. Judith has one of the most “crystal clear” and resonant voices you will ever hear. Her voice also “speaks” to me. It’s weird – in a good sort of way. LOL!

@ Thom – Er Thom – trust me when I say you don’t wanna do an Alex Jeffreys and “swim with the sharks” – not here! We have had many shark attacks off our coast recently. They come into shallow water and just pluck people out of the surf and rip them to pieces. One fellow was killed in just three feet of water by a 20 foot great white. Another was taken several weeks ago and nothing was found.

Having said that… water sharks are not the only sharks around the place. The Internet is a HAVEN for all sorts of mal-practices. We need to keep our wits about us and “look behind” some highly ranked Google sites. Google itself is very savage on people who try to “fool” it and when they whack it is all over red rover. POOF! GONE! VAPOURIZED! Sorry Thom – just had to slip that in to WARN everyone – yet again!

@ Denis – You again! LOL! Denis when Linda gives the word I will be sure to let you all know. I support people who help me so if you are a “regular” face here or a person who expressed an “EXPRESSION OF INTEREST” then you will be looked after. We can only accommodate a certain number in our… project. However, Linda has some products of her own that she will be making available shortly. Personally, I’d devour everything this lady says. Don’t worry denis – it’s all coming…

@ Hilary – No probs Hils. I don’t think anyone quite realizes what Linda can do – yet! And by the time they do it will be too darn late for them. I have been saying for a week now to get onboard but some have been going… “Oh gee whiz. I dunno. I sorta wanna know but, you know, I spent $700 on Alex Jeffreys coaching and I’ve bought this and I’ve bought that… blah… blah… blah” Well guess what? There’s a LOT more on offer here. If I rolled Albert bloody Einstein out of the grave to give everyone a brain dump I reckon we’d still have people saying, “Oh gee whiz. I dunno, blah, blah, blah…”
Sorry Hils, I just don’t get where some people are at. That is why I try so DARN HARD to get them thinking. really, most people are their own single, biggest problem. But not you darls – LOL! ;-)

Sorry for the lateness of those replies. I just got swamped. But I’m up and rowing again now! Like Arnold Schwarzenegger in “Twins.” Remember that opening scene?

    woooooooo-hoooooooo-har-har-har!

    More replies coming

More replies??? MORE replies? How about a new post? Crikey, it’s BEEN 4 days. G-2R is going to wipe the floor with the likes o’ you.

Take that “AUSTRALIA DAY TODAY” comment, for example. That coulda been a blog post. Google mighta read that and brought you a few more of them yappity Aussies.

    K. Nevermind. Coffee is ready.
    Brain, meet caffeine.

  97. Gary

    Hi Linda,

“More replies??? MORE replies? How about a new post? Crikey, it’s BEEN 4 days. G-2R is going to wipe the floor with the likes o’ you.”

You reckon? Hmm. He’d wanna be on his game. Somehow I don’t think so. And what? Crikey? Huh? You’ve been watching old Steve Irwin re-runs, surely?

Hmm. Been up to something today PLUS we just HAD to go out to bloody dinner YET again. I think there is a conspiracy here to get me off this darn computer. LOL!

I am WAY behind with replies but… hmm… not yet. We shall wait and see.

    Gary

PS: As Maxwell Smart used to say, “would you BELIEVE” that I have 53 blog posts to put in over the next few months?” You wouldn’t huh? Well… heh… heh… I have it all mapped out.

  98. Garry Parkes

    Hi Gary,

Hey, I saw that ….. listen to Q, my friend, she knows what she is on about

“G-2R is going to wipe the floor with the likes o’ you.”

A very true statement if I ever saw one! Look mate, I feature you in my second successive video to help you out (I know this video technology is a bit beyond you) so no need to repay me with the absurd comments. Your credibility will be zilch if you go on like that:-)

I was having a very productive day until my Profit Pulling Platform went down on me. I did a little tweak and well I’m in recovery mode now:-(

    Garry

  99. Gary

    Garry,

Sorry, mate, you must have mis-read what I said…

I said (about your good self):

“He’d wanna be on his game.”

The Gazz-man has been on a RAMPAGE today and has somethin’ cooking. Hmm, smells like Parkesy Pie!

And videos are all mapped out – all 53 of them. “Oh…” says Parkesy. And… air-guitarist – I got plans for you dude!

    Rampaging Gazz-Man

    PS:
You better hope Nix doesn’t see that PPP comment…

  100. Nikki

*Nix isn’t here so cannot possibly comment*

  101. [Q]

    .

    And… air-guitarist – I got plans for you dude!

Plans, schmans. Talk is cheap, dude. Actions tell the tale.
One video ON youtube stomps 53 in yer head, matey.

Yea, yeah… I know. It’s late. You gotta go snooze now.
Fine, I’ll stop harassing you for a while.

Now, Parkesy Pie… someone tells him to go to H and he does.
H this, H that. Right in his freaking html code. Cookin’
    I saw. I hay-ulped, too.

heh heh. Okay, back to work.

  102. Gary

Jeez… Nix is here but isn’t (what does that mean?) and Linda is giving me curry about videos. Sheesh! I have been working like a Trojan on matters that the Gazz-Man has prioritized as important.

Have patience people. Have patience. The Gazz-Man will have his Production Crew coming by soon. I have a 4 man crew with a mobile studio all hooked in.

Trust me, the Gazz-Man will produce Quality videos that will be educational and well… spectacular. Have patience.

The Gazz-Man cannot be rushed. He likes to take his time and survey the scene, suss-out the landscape, watch and then POUNCE when it is least expected.

Patience everybody. Be calm and contemplate your navels while the Gazz-Man gathers his resources. The deadline is of NO interest to the Gazz-man coz the Gazz-Man only works to ONE timetable. His own.

In the mean-time… just go and listen to some of the lovely music I have collected for you here.

And just for you “Q” here (again) is my selection for you, my dear – with PARTICULAR emphasis on the LAST TWO WORDS of the song. Enjoy darls!

“The Gazz-Man cannot be rushed. He likes to take his time and survey the scene, suss-out the landscape, watch and then POUNCE when it is least expected.”

    So I’ve been told!!! ;)

    (You’ve missed me, right?!)

    Nix

  104. [Q]

You are familiar with the Trojan brand, yes? Brag, brag. You can distract Nixxie with innuendo, but that junk doesn’t work with me. Transparent as a sandwich bag comes to mind. I keep looking on YouTube and I know who *isn’t* contemplating their navel. Good one, by the way. If I was slowwwww, I’d say I work to my own timetable, too.

Feel free to ignore me. I’m just spinning your gears. Don’t let ME steer your ship for ya. But, you already know that, what with all that self control they teach in Karate an’ all. lol

  105. Gary

Nix – Indeed, I have missed the wit of thee!

    Quarrelsome One –

“You are familiar with the Trojan brand, yes?”

Like the one that Brad Pitt wore in Troy? When he was in that “friendly” tent with all the guys? I understand that they became very “close” before battle. “Bonding,” I think the term was. Glad I was a Samurai in a previous life and not a Centurian or a Trojan or a Roman or whatever.

  106. Nikki

Oh. Perhaps it’s just me, but I’m sure in the UK there’s a certain brand of…sandwich bags (thanks Linda!)…that are made for those that have larger sandwiches than normal.

I could be mistaken of course.

  107. Gary

Like if you need to wrap the whole loaf?

  108. Nikki

    …and then some…

  109. Gary

Like a turkish long stick, or something?

  110. Nikki

French stick / baguette. You know, the ones that need both hands.

  111. Gary

And the crust is really hard to chew. Have you noticed that? It’s like munching on a brick. I’m assuming, of course, that we are now talking about matters of lunch. Munch, lunch, crunch… I have a hunch that maybe we are talking about TWO different things here.

  112. Nikki

“I have a hunch that maybe we are talking about TWO different things here.”

    Perceptive as always!

Nix – Have a look at what Parkesy said directly above. I would have thought you might have something to say about THAT! Or are we *sitting on hands* with that?

  114. Nikki

You mean where I commented that I wasn’t here?! Yes, I saw it. I laughed, I sat on my hands for a while…trying to resist the urge.

But as I am not even vaguely subtle, nor do I wish to be, then perhaps I shall have to hope that Garry’s enjoying his PPP experience!

  115. Gary

He may have been overcome by it.

  116. Nikki

This is very true. If we don’t see him for a while then I guess we can assume that it was all a little too much for him, and that he’s off recovering somewhere!

Might find him in the Purple Room later, you never know.

  117. Gary

There’s that pink and purple connection again!

  118. Nikki

    Oh yes!

    I love that joke.

  119. Stephen Bray

This is great ~ music really can alter my mood but in different ways.

When I was younger and things seemed to be going wrong I loved playing Leonard Cohen songs because he seemed so miserable and in comparison to me I would come out quite well. Pretty soon my bad mood would be raised, indeed often I would become elated.

Then he released that song ‘First We Take Manhattan’, which Joe Cocker also covered. It’s a great rebel song so that inspires me too ;-)

Now I think the power of these songs is that they connect and remind me of a younger me. I think remembering who we were, where we might have copped-out and then do something to make amends is truly valuable.

As I write this I’m reminded of something I read recently about a 93 year old woman who as her birthday treat made her first parachute jump.

Cohen as he’s become older also has had difficulties. He was in a Zen retreat for five years until his someone ran away with all his money. Now he’s back on the road in his 70s.

What a great opportunity for him!

    Go well Gary,

    Stephen

  120. Gary

    Hi Stephen,

Back on track with the thread after being “Nixed” – LOL.

    You said:

“When I was younger and things seemed to be going wrong I loved playing Leonard Cohen songs because he seemed so miserable and in comparison to me I would come out quite well. Pretty soon my bad mood would be raised, indeed often I would become elated.”

How very perverse. I gotta say I laughed when I read that.

    But then you said this:

“Now I think the power of these songs is that they connect and remind me of a younger me.”

I have been waiting for somebody to make that comment. Well said. And that is why we watch “Gilligan’s Island” and “Get Smart” and “Dallas” and all those other old (and often silly) shows on TV too. They take us back – back to less stressful times, when things were EASY and we didn’t have to worry about credit cards, interest rates, mortgages, pollution, terrorists, computers and all the INSTANT – I WANT YOUR ATTENTION NOW stuff.

    Well said Stephen.

    Gary

  121. Ken Douglas

    Gary,

I have compiled music lists on Itunes and cds as you have described.

Two tunes that come immediately to mind for me are( and admittedly I have not read the previous comments since my retun so i am probably repeating things that have already been listed) 1. You Can’t Aways Get What You Want by the Rolling Stones (I have found many times that what I need is not always what I want and sometimes it takes some time for this to be evident) and Don’t Give Up by Willie Nelson.
