by Gary ~ January 6th, 2009

Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription, Strap yourself in coz this is kinda long (what else would you expect?). I have created this information for you just in case you may be struggling with your blogging. Or, Discount Priligy Dapoxetine, more appropriately ATTRACTING eyeballs to your blog. Do you have that problem. Hmm, thought so.., Priligy Dapoxetine price, coupon.

Many have been noticing this and mentioning it but have YOU noticed how popular my blog is becoming, Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription. It is getting a LARGE number of comments for almost every topic I put up. And this means one thing... Priligy Dapoxetine blogs, even MORE are viewing this blog.

[UPDATE 27 August 2009: In my ACTION Plan I set a target of 500 visitors a day by 30 June 2009. Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription, I didn't meet that because some other things got in my way and I lost a little bit of focus and momentum. But... right now I am meeting that target EASILY, Priligy Dapoxetine trusted pharmacy reviews. 500 visits a day is now pretty standard for me. Most days I get a lot more, Buy Priligy Dapoxetine no prescription, even over 600. Sorry to interrupt, Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription. Keep reading...]

[UPDATE 10th March 2010: This blog is now getting - on a REGULAR basis - between 800 and 2,000 visitors per day.]

So, why IS that, real brand Priligy Dapoxetine online. What is happening here. But, Priligy Dapoxetine steet value, more importantly, what can YOU learn to make YOUR blog just as successful. Just to give you some idea... my blog has had 437 entries since Boxing Day 2008 (NB: to 6 January 2009 when this was written). Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription, You can add them up yourself if you want just by going down to that day and looking at the public records. But if you bother to do so, Priligy Dapoxetine no prescription, the number will invariably be more.

Plus JFYI, Purchase Priligy Dapoxetine online no prescription, behind the scenes, I have 13 search engines crawling all over my blog madly indexing everything. So, I am expecting a good boost in my Google ranking when that result comes out later this month, Priligy Dapoxetine pharmacy. I don’t have all the technical stuff nailed down tight yet. That will come, Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription.

In the last 12 days I have averaged 36 comments per day. Buy Priligy Dapoxetine from mexico, Yeah, OK probably almost half that was me babbling on AND I do have a “captive” audience right now. (It won't be like that for much longer). But how many blogs on the entire internet could boast those figures – especially since this blog was only commissioned on the 27th November 2008, is Priligy Dapoxetine safe. Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription, I have had a PLAN since day one and I have been executing it, though not as fast as I wanted. And this is only stage one of my three-part plan. So, Buy Priligy Dapoxetine online cod, if you think I know what I am talking about, read on…

Right. Here we go. Now, buy Priligy Dapoxetine without prescription, you can either agree or disagree with all or part of this, it’s up to you. Take what you want, leave what you want, Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription. Buy Priligy Dapoxetine online no prescription, It’s a smorgasbord. I’ll present this in seven point form so that it will be easy to comment on individual points if that is what you want to do, or if you would like me to expand on anything in the thread here.

1 – BE EDUCATIVE or TOPICAL - The topics are either educational or topical and they are almost always provocative, herbal Priligy Dapoxetine. I like to make people think. Jeffrey Dibble Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription, hit on this in the last thread about the F500 Statistics. If people can learn something they will come. Effects of Priligy Dapoxetine, If it is bland or just outright boring they will not. Simple.

2 – HONE YOUR WRITING STYLE - Many people tell me they LIKE my writing style – even if what I say is annoying. I have a dozen or so direct quotes saying this, Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription. So, order Priligy Dapoxetine online c.o.d, how can you develop YOUR writing style? EASY. PRACTICE. Online Priligy Dapoxetine without a prescription, I have said this over and over and over again. Use these blogs to hone your craft. You can also get a great STACK of HINTS & TIPS Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription, right here on my blog. Just look under that section in my side panel. It is sitting right there and has been for MORE than a month yet so few even look at it, Priligy Dapoxetine description.

We also have some excellent writers here in the F500 TEAM. Find some whose STYLE you like and craft your style around them. Without mentioning every good writer here go and check out Thomas Northrop and Valerie Davies and Hilary Dickinson, Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription. About Priligy Dapoxetine, These three and others are technically good, amusing and they just make great sense in everything they write. In fact, to give an example, purchase Priligy Dapoxetine for sale, Thomas wrote a piece on Andrew Fox’s blog (Follow the Foxy) the other day that was so crafty, witty and technically brilliant that it made me drool with envy. Priligy Dapoxetine dangers, And I went on Thomas's blog and told him so.

3 – READ AND ANSWER THOUGHTFULLY - When somebody makes a comment on your blog and it is deserving of an answer then ANSWER it. Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription, Nobody likes being ignored. I have left a LOT of very detailed replies on other blogs and three, seven, Priligy Dapoxetine street price, ten days later they are still just sitting there with no reply. Duh. Taking Priligy Dapoxetine, Why would I want to say anything else. I just move on.

4 – STAY ON TOPIC – This goes BOTH for blog owners and visitors, Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription.

4A - Blog owners – Always try to steer the conversation back on course when it deviates too far. You started it – YOU should finish it, my Priligy Dapoxetine experience. Don’t throw everything including the kitchen sink into your opening entry either. Leave some gaps and openings for others otherwise it just becomes a LECTURE (hmm, Where can i order Priligy Dapoxetine without prescription, how odd is it that I should say that. LOL!)

4B – Visitors who make comments Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription, - Why would any blog owner want to answer something like this. “You have a nice blog. Put me on your blogroll.” You know which two words spring immediately to my mind when I see this JUNK. Well, buy Priligy Dapoxetine from canada, to shield sensitive eyes and minds I’ll just give you the last word. It’s “OFF!” This is far worse than saying nothing coz it smacks of ME first, Online buying Priligy Dapoxetine hcl, ME second and ME last. It is utterly insincere and you will be “pegged” because people will see your “dumpings” everywhere they go, Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription.

5 – MIX YOUR BLOG UP & INTERACT - This may seem like it contradicts 4 above but it doesn’t IF it is done properly. Many of you will have seen the exchanges between me and Garry Parkes when he came over here with his (STUPID) “Declaration of War” (which, incidentally I “pantsed” him on, Priligy Dapoxetine pics. You KNOW I did Gazza – Admit it. LOL!) That was a perfect opportunity "engineered" by us for so many others to come in and have some fun on both blogs and yet so very few did. Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription, What. Priligy Dapoxetine use, Wasn't it funny enough. Did you think we were serious.

Humour is GOOD! Also, check out the tete-a-tete that Nikki (Nix) Stephens and I get into from time to time, purchase Priligy Dapoxetine online. Nikki is very witty and I like trading comments with her. And look at all that GOOD-Gary and BAD-Gary rot that I carry on with, Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription. It’s just fun. Canada, mexico, india, If you can do it with humour it will make people laugh and show them that you can be fun and they will WANT to come back. But don’t OVERDO it and become a complete clown. (hmm - note to self on that. Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription, Yellow sticky post-it on screen - "Gazza, don't be a d*ckhe*d all the time!")

6 – CREDIT PEOPLE - Look at what I have done above. I have mentioned people and given them credit and credibility for what they do, Priligy Dapoxetine price. How many times have you gone to a blog and seen your name mentioned. Never. Priligy Dapoxetine dose, Once. A few times, Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription. How do you feel when you see that. Good. Yep. Me too. Nigel Yip Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription, recently said something along the lines of “Gary Simpson’s most excellent blog.” Wow. But be SINCERE (I know you were Nigel!) and ONLY give praise when it is DESERVED. If you praise everyone all the time then you will be seen as a suck-holing praise idiot. Be judicious and don’t play favourites.

7 – PUT FRESH CONTENT UP AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN – Have you ever visited a DEAD blog. That’s one where the owner just lets it all go for weeks and sometimes even months, Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription. Pretty uninspiring, isn’t it. Why would anyone want to put a comment up on a dead blog.

Again I will say this - GET ACTIVE! Nobody wants to visit a corpse and talk to it.

Anyway, these are some of my ideas and observations about getting your blog humping and pumping. Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription, I have a lot more to offer but, like I said above, I don’t wanna hog the whole subject. Remember, I have posted this to help YOU.

I’d be happy to receive any comments or questions if you want to come and speak your mind.

[UPDATE 10 March 2010: Apart from the above, could this huge traffic flow possibly have something to do with (a) having an ACTION Plan. Ooh, look. There's a (free) ACTION Planner over there on the RH column, Buy Priligy Dapoxetine Without Prescription. And (b) using Twitter intelligently. Oh, gee... lookey, lookey again. There's a (free) Twitter-Muscle book there too. OK, I'd better run now. I have horses to water (hint). And you have MORE visitors to attract.]

    Gary, Gary, Gary,

The only credit I see you giving me here is your reference to you winning the war with me which we all know is rubbish. :-) I could say something stronger but we may have some Ladies reading. In fact, if you don’t abide by the ceasefire I’m going to put that bl**dy ‘WANTED’ video up on my site again. ON AUTOPLAY. (Hey, side note here – it’s been embedded nearly 1,200 times on websites across the world. I bet you knew you were always going to be famous, LOL).

Back to the serious stuff though. Another great post Gary and of course spot on. People should print that post up and make sure when you are doing blogging you refer back to it always. Couple more things I’d add are – Building up suspense. A few times I’ve used that technique where I said I am going to write about something in advance and get back to my site later not to miss out. In builds up anticipation and when it is posted people are ready with their responses. I’m doing that in my post and comments today. Something as cropped up on my site that I need feedback about. Rather than address it there and then I’m going to have a Poll later in the week to get a better grasp on what people really think.

Also mix it up a bit. Try new things. If they don’t work, fair enough you’ve learnt a lesson and move on to try something else.

One thing that I say owners should (MUST) do is like Gary says, wherever possible answer people’s questions they ask if they are deserving of an answer. I know on my own Blog, for every post I write I have probably written 10-fold more than that in responses to people’s comments. Yeah, some days when my Blog goes mad when I put up a particularly interesting post it becomes impossible to keep track of everything but I genuinely try and comment as regularly as I can.

This leads must to my greatest bug-bear which Gary has mentioned. When I comment of someone’s site I often leave detailed comments asking for further information. When I don’t get any response after days (weeks!) I make notes of things like that and will adjust my style accordingly if I decide to comment again on that site. In fact I have a handful of sites (some well visited by the Students for the time being) where I know exactly what to expect when I visit there. It so predicable. But eventually people will realise their mode of operand and will eventually stop visiting if they cease to be of any value.

Loads of things to digest in Gary’s post. Read and learn from master-Gary

Howdy Garry “the machine” Parkes – Fancy you being the FIRST one here. I only put this thing up an hour ago and here you are!

OK. Ceasefire observed – LOL! But I… nup. OK. Zip it. Zip it!

Garry, I agree with everything (well all except – ZIP IT!) you said. Suspense is a wonderful curiousity builder. I also agree with what you are doing about taking notes on “various matters.” Gee, I hope nobody ever raids my office for document discovery purposes – LOL!

Hmm… Master Gary… hmm. Now, where have I heard that before? Let me think…

    Hey Gary,

Looks like a wonderful post and have just printed off to analyse in greater depth and yeah I’ve been massively yesterday as I’ve just posted up another blog – hint hint *something Dean (Holland) has been promoting which I would certainly recommend to anyone else as well.

Plus I just found out how I could back post a blog post i.e. write a post today and set the date as if I wrote it a few days ago which I guess is quite useful for a new blog.

Drop me a message if you want to see it – I will be putting a post on my blog about it later today!!!

    All the best

  4. Gary

Hi Nigel – Gee, that sounds interesting. I will be over tomorrow (it is getting really late again here) to check it out coz that interests me – manipulating the dates. I wanna know more.

Good to see you firing again Nigel.

  5. Adam

    Hello Gazz-man!

So, you’re post got me thinking–and I’m wondering what your thoughts are.

It seems I find myself responding to the comments on my blog via personal e-mail, as I am trying to build a personal connection/interaction. Am I wrong to do that, or is it just as effective with a follow-up comment on my blog?

I like to keep my replies personal, but I know what you are saying about continuing the conversation on your blog comments.

I’d like to know what you guys think about that.

  6. Ken Douglas

I think your comments are well founded. You and Garry certainly lead the field with activity. Speaking as one who has not experienced as much activity, it can be frustrating to be putting a post up and then see only one or two comments after several days and several of those being of the “please add me to your blog” type. All of the points you make are very important. However without traffic one begins to wonder if the effort is worth the return. In my own situation, rather than throw in the towel, when I have noticed these feelings creeping in I have gone blog hopping more than usual making comments with the hope that with greater exposure I may post something that will make some one want to visit my blog(without blatently pimping my site). I have also, tried to make my posts a combination of what I am doing to build my business, informational and hopefully thought provoking with out being too contraversial(sp?).

I tip my hat to Garry for being visionary enough to get his blog up and to the front while many of us were still in the early stages of the blog learning curve. Now the rest of us are trying to catch up without being carbon copies.

Please understand the things I have posted here were not done with the intent of making excuses, to be argumentitive or with any other negative intent. I posted in this manner so that others who may have similiar feeling would know that they are not alone and perhaps stimulate additional discussion.

If I refer to you as “master ” is it necessary to bow ?….or is that only in the presence of bad Gary?

  7. Harry Harris

Great post and I will be sure to implement as much as I can as soon as I can – the challenge I have is that I work full time, but I ma working on a solution which I will reveal soon.

Again as always GAZZA you ROCK!

“the force will be with you….always”

  8. Thom Swartwood

Once again great post. Seven great reasons, and I agree that your blog is one of my favorites to check out everyday to see what you are doing.

I also think your seven reasons are a great road map for all of us to strive for.

I believe I am getting better at all seven of your points and it is about Practice Makes Perfect. I enjoy the writing, and hopefully I am getting better at it the more I write.

I would appreciate if you would check out my blog and let me know what you truly think.

Am I following your seven reasons or am I missing the boat completely.

There are a few of Alex’s students that I rely on for good information and you by far are one of them. I also relay think Garry Parkes blog is super useful.

Thanks again for another great post and for being willing to help

    Talk to you soon

  9. Nikki

You know full well that the popularity of your blog is fundamentally down to the wonderful nonsense that flows between us!!

Will answer your points that you’ve put above when I’m back at work tomorrow – I’m about to leave the office for the evening (it’s gone 6pm here) and I’m without the internet at home. A very interesting post as always – I do genuinely read them before I leave my random comments! And thanks for the mention :)

  10. Dean Hohn

    Hey Gaz-Man,

Another pearler from the Master! :) I look forward to dropping by to see what words of wisdom I can glean from you.

I’m not a great one for writing in an entertaining manner, I tend to be more on the boring lecture side, but try to provide value.

I’ll be printing off your post and also your tips on the side. The more we learn and put into action, the better we will become. It just takes us old dogs longer to learn new tricks compared to the young pups! :(

I’ve just posted a freebie over on my blog that I think everyone will be interested in. It’s about how to easily find niches and gives you the list of free tools to use to find them. It will be a great help for anyone doing affiliate marketing.

It’s now 6:30 in the morning and my bed is grabbing me by the ankles, so I’m going to give in and let it have it’s way with me! At least for a few hours!

Great post and I look forward to your future pearls of wisdom.

    Dean Hohn

  11. Hilary Dickinson

    Hi Gazz Man

I haven’t been here for a couple of days (fun with a tropical fish tank, emptying it out at 11pm and putting a bucket of smelly gravel outside to find that it was snowing and is now -6C … have put paid to that!)

As always when I come back there is more great content and I find my name in there – oh you make me blush! (But it is rather nice to see it – so it does work)

I’ve just been over to Ken Douglas’s blog and left him quite a long comment – to follow from his comment above about getting visitors to his site. He has a great blog there and I really liked his post about why we have to find our own place in Internet Marketing.

I’m not going to repeat it all here – you’ll just have to go over there and read it for yourselves :) (and get him some more traffic too!)

However I like to come here because I know that there will always be a good community here – we cannot all have a blog like this at the moment as we would be spreading ourselves too thinly if we all attempted to do this now. We wouldn’t have time to read, write and learn and we wouldn’t be getting the same benefits as we do now.

But what happens in the future once we’ve spread our wings? Who knows – what we have learnt here will hopefully stand us in good stead for the future. Remember that we have our own timings, personalities, niches etc. We can make them what we want to as we move forward.

Learn and copy (a little flattery always helps) but be yourself!

By the way two slightly(!) technical questions.

    1. How do you format text in a reply (eg bold for someone’s name)? I can’t seem to do that and Ctrl + B doesn’t work in this format.

    2. Thanks for the reply in an earlier post about putting a link in. I was happy about how to copy the link and paste it in. I was just wondering how you did it so that it didn’t show the whole URL but just something like ‘click here’ to see so and so’s post.

Anyway off to write my own post now. Maybe someone will come and read it!!

  12. Gary

WOW! What a great bunch of responses. First up… I gotta tell you that I was a bit worried what people would think, “There he goes again. Bangin’ his ego drum. Boom. Boom. Boom. Fool!” I’m sure some will indeed think that anyway coz whatever you do in this world somebody just has to line you up in their cross-hairs and pull the trigger. Kill the messenger if you don’t like the message.

But I’m so glad that what I have said to date here has been met with the understanding that I put it here to help you. I could have just as easily put up some information I have been mulling over (mull, mull, mull) on Google Analytics (or Google Anal-Tics, as I so often call it) but I’m saving that for later – ie when I get bored with this thread. I thought that this would help MORE people FASTER. And it is so easily implemented.

Let me take these in order.

Adam – I definitely would NOT go down the path of trying to build relationships via email. Now, let me explain that. What you are doing has great merit IF you are wanting to form SPECIAL relationships, say, for a future JV relationship – especially with members of the F500. IMHO, it is far better to have a public interaction with people so that all the others can read and learn. Plus it is more time efficient for you. What will happen if you start conversing behind the scenes with 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 people? Let Aweber or another automated responder take care of that.

Ken – Let me take your last comment first. No, certainly not. That is external to what I am doing here. I know you know certain things. Moving right along… yes, I too have felt that loneliness in early posts but I saw this opportunity very early – as indeed “the Machine” did and I went ballistic with activity. So, you have already pretty much answered your own concern. The effort required at the bottom of the “J” curve is what always blows most people out of the water. ACTIVITY – you have identified it. You have probably noticed that when you go out of your way to make a few thoughtful posts on another blog that the blog owner will invariably “drift over” to your blog.

Harry – I run a business “on the side.” I’d like to shed that business at some stage down the track because with all the MILLIONS and MILLIONS of people I can reach via the internet I see this as too good an opportunity to keep putting aside, as I have done for several years. I’m ready now. I’ve been flexing and getting fit with this for too long now. “May the force be with you too, oh bright one!” LOL!

[SIDEBAR FOR (Dean’s) PEEPS: – Can you see what I did there? I know that Harry is very interested in Star Wars material. I MEET him quite often “in persona” – ie I play Harry’s game – not ALL the time but just enough to let him know that I am up for a game with his “theme.” I have done the same with Coleen and also with… dare I mention her name? LOL! Nix. This has the added advantage of opening up a HUGE range of topical and theme-based responses that others will “get.” And it reduces the boredom factor.]

Thom – Thank you so much for your comments. I like to try to deliver VALUE to people. I will certainly come and pay you a visit. If I am unable to do that today then it will only be due to external work pressures as I have a massive tax report to commence shortly and that usually takes three FULL days every quarter. It’s a GREAT system here. I PIMP my activity and income, I hand it to my Accountant, he fills in some numbers on a form then he hands me a bill for several hundred dollars for ten minutes work, then I get a DEMAND from the tax department to “pay-in-full” within 28 days or face heavy fines and penalty interest. I am so looking forward to the day where I can massively simplify that effort and give it the flick. So, yes Thom. I will make a visit ASAP.

Nix – Ahh, Mon Cherie! Yep. You are correct. That IS the fundamental reason. It is all about developing relationships with people – pretty much as I described in the SIDEBAR above with Harry. Nikki, you are a very clever lady and you match my wit blow for blow. I am always ready, willing and able to “spar” with you coz, like most people, I love the escapism of humour. I always look forward to your comments and the liberal dose of zaniness that often accompanies them. You wouldn’t believe the laughter that I have on this side of the screen with all the innuendo (inMYendo, inYOURendo – see recent frivolity on a recent thread) stuff that trades back and forth between us. I just hope it “translates” to others coz it sure does amuse ME! Your thanks for “the mention” is most welcome. It is PROOF that what I said in that part of my offering above is true. Social proof!

Hohnsy – Thanks mate. Value is the key, that is for sure. I will read boring (as you say) stuff IF I can dig out the gold. But if you learn to add a bit of humour and even sometimes manage to scold yourself along the way (re my DUH! stuff from time to time – ie my Listbuilding thread) then it just makes you so much more relatable. I’m not advocating that everybody copy what I do – that would be false and many will see straight through it. Rather, INJECT more of your own personality. And here is a BIG tip. Change slowly. Add bits and pieces. If you make a MASSIVE change overnight people will wonder who the hell your new ghost-writer is. LOL!

Thank you all for making such wonderful comments and allowing me to EXPAND on them, thereby adding even more value to everyone reading this thread. Not everyone comments. In fact, only a small percentage do (re my c-panel stats). The good thing is that so many have access to this well and can “come and take a drink” IF they want.

PS: I got up at 5.00am to do this because I didn’t want the thread to get out of control. I practice what I “preach.”

Hi Hilary – You must have slipped in when I was making that LONG reply above. I made you blush huh? My dear, I was only giving you credit where it is due but I will bet one thing…

… I will bet that you have “lifted your game” even more now after saying what I did. And that is important. Constant improvement all over the F500 is what I am on about.

I like the way you waded in with a few personal remarks from “your world.” That is a technique that good writers use. It instantly throws up a vision. Euuw… I can almost smell that nasty odour too. I have a fish pond and siphoning and baling the muck out of that every so often is NOT a job I enjoy. In fact, it makes me gag. Yuk!

I like the way you have zipped over to Kenny’s blog and responded to him from what you read here. That is very social and community minded. Great stuff. That is being a TEAM PLAYER.

OK. Hils, to answer both your questions in one hit. It can ALL easily be done in the dashpanel (private side) of your wordpress blog. That is the easiest way. Or, you can do what I do and use html tags directly into the response panel (public side). I usually make my first response, look at it, decide where I need bolding or italics or whatever and then go into the “edit” (comment) panel where you have all the easy-peasy tags all laid out across the top in tabs.

Now, I am not a big fan of embedding the “click here” stuff to convert links. Why? Because the robots and spiders and other search engine creepy-crawlies derive NO meaning from it. If you use the full link they get the “message” as well as your readers. If that wasn’t explanatory enough just send me an email.

Thanks for coming and don’t blush!

  14. Hilary Dickinson

    Hi again Gazz man

Well I didn’t get as far as doing my own post – my daughter came along and was saying that no-one had visited her blog, so I went and left her a message and I’ve added her to my blog links if anyone wants to leave her a message too – she’ll love that!

I’ve got her started early on her blog (well actually she set it all up by herself) so that she can follow her mum. She’s a good little actress so I’m sure she won’t find it too hard to copy! :)

Actually I think that I might invest in her own website and wordpress blog and then I can help her with that. It will give me experiences that I can write about that will hopefully help others too.

I’ll speak to her in the morning. I think that it will be quite a good way of giving her a boost as she sometimes gets quite down about her own abilities and she enjoys doing this sort of thing.

Anyway does the dashpanel allow me to edit my comments on your blog or just on my own?

I wondered about the ‘click here’ type links because sometimes if you have too many urls in a comment it can be thrown out as spam, but I can see your point about getting the message across.

    What do other people think?

Anyway I’ll come again soon – and I won’t blush!

  15. Gary

Hi Hilary The dash only allows you to edit on your OWN blogsite. Otherwise people would be mischievious and start altering words and making comments that are inappropriate. So… you do need to learn some basic commands in html to get those attributes onto other blogs.

I may have mentioned this before but just have a play on your own blog with a few of the basics. Go in as a “commenter,” make your fictitious post, check it out to see how it looks and then go into your dashpanel and delete the mess you will make – LOL! That, really, is the only way to get familiar with them. If you want to know what they are then just Google “basic html commands” and you will undoubtedly get a HUGE list of sites that can help you understand them.

I have a rule that I use – generally NO URLS from me on another person’s blog – unless I think it is REALLY important. I have only done it 3 times I think in the whole time I have been active – twice on Parkesy’s and once on Deano’s. And all of them were in the last week or so.

If you add one here and there in your own blog to direct people I don’t see anything at all wrong with that. But I really HATE to see links all over the place. That is silly too because all it does is ‘weaken” the stickability of your page. Hope this helps.

    Hey Gary

Thought I drop by just before I’m off to catch some much needed rest – been a really productive day as I’m working on my latest ebook which I think is going to be of added value or food for thought to everyone, once the coaching course finishes.

Anyway, point of call is I said I’ll be back to give you some feedback here it is:

“Your tips are like the “Da Vinci Code for Blogging and I think you should turn them into a quick eBook as it’s top notch info.

Anyone who hasn’t read this post, don’t know what they’re missing out on, and I would just like to add that: If one’s blog traffic does not increase from reading and implementing your tips then I would just say “Keep persevering, have faith, and re-read Gary’s blog tips.

Clearly you must have been skim reading!”

Hehe “May the force be with us all and that we all shine in 2009!!!”

  17. Gary

Hi Nigel – You need a sleep too, huh? LOL! That is great that you have a direction now with a new e-book. Well done!

WOW! Nigel – that was VERY nice of you to say that. I truly do appreciate it. The “DaVinci Code for Blogging” – hey, that’s pretty good! See how your mind is becoming so creative now? Your imagination will hold you in good stead for the future.

    THANK YOU Nigel!

I found a very good HTML tutorial site if anyone is interested.. it can be found by entering in google. It has been very helpful for me because it breaks thing down into very small segments … easy for small brains lke mine to understand.

Thanks Ken – I hope Hilary sees it.

  20. Garry Parkes

    Morning Gary,

Just like to echo your comments you’ve made above to Ken.

In the beginning it can certainly be tough and it is in those initial stages that most people will give up and think the effort is not worth it. But stick at it and the momentum will start to build. Incrementally at first, but then it will reach a critical point where it feeds on itself and then people will make it a habit to visit your site each day. Once you get to that point it gets easier, but you still have to work at it and keep adding content. Each of us only has a certain amount of time to dedicate to our online businesses and this will be different for all of us. What I would recommend to everyone is each day plan how much time you have for commenting on other peoples’ blogs. Now work out how many comments that is likely to be. Based upon that, pick a core of active blogs that you want to make your presence felt on as you will get bigger exposure for your time input. Make sure on those blogs there is a good interaction and response to questions etc, with other readers and the Blog owner. This means that there will be more readers who come back to see how the thread is developing during the day. There are other blogs where basically your comment will go into a ‘black-hole’ as it were and there is no real interaction with either the Blog Owner nor any of the other readers. On this type of blogs you may get some exposure but people don’t come back frequently during the day to see how things are progressing because that is not the purpose of those type of blogs. So in the end it is all about making an assessment of what will give you the best return on your time. Stick at it repeatedly and people will notice you are active and will gradually drift over to your blogs to, slowly at first, but then in a flood.

Anyway, better get back to getting my Profit Pulling Project Newsletter ready for launch later today. You’ll like the article Gary has written (hard hitting stuff!) but we have some new contributors as well.

    Garry Parkes,

  21. Alan Neath

    Hi Gary

Here i am again, soaking up more information, yes i do read all the posts, and it always gives me a couple of reality checks.

Peppered between the fun and banter there are always little nuggets of gold, like blogging etiquette, which to be honest i will have to learn on the fly.

You did point out to Adam (was that a bold reference ?) that he should use personal email replies in the right circumstances, but generally the purpose of a comment is to post the reply so that other readers benefit from the exchange, well that’s how i understood your wording.

Now that i have read this and written it , it sort of sounds pretty obvious, so i will do that in future.

Another small point which made me twitch and develop a slight tick, nothing dramatic, so don’t worry, was your point about adding links in comments, i know i am guilty of that too, Yikes, however i think i got away with it so far as i tend to limit it to our fellow 500 / 80, well the living shall we say.

One thing i have never done so far is place a link on any blog where i am a stranger, somehow i just feel that is something rude, but your angle on that would be very welcome.

Must dash, got problems to sort out over on my site, all is explained if you feel compelled or motivated to mouse over !

    Cheers everybody

Alan ( Link Removed by sensor in good taste)

  22. Carl Barton

So many long comments in reply, I only skimmed through them so I hope I’m not repeating what others have said.

You make some very valid and useful points. Honing your writing style is very important. I’ve found a few comments and posts in the blogs I’ve been reading to be a bit ‘salesy’ if you know what I mean. People get put off, especially those in the same business as us, if they feel they are getting a sales pitch. It’s a fine balance amd a skill that needs to be developed.

The only other point I’ll comment on is to post as often as possible. I don’t entirely agree with this, I think it is more important to post at regular intervals, which is slightly different. Your readers will then learn when to expect new content. Personally I wouldn’t be able to keep up with too many blogs that were posting every day, so I tend to choose a few blogs that update 2 or 3 times a week. As long as your readers know when to expect the next post, they will come back whether it’s everyday or once a week.

Either way, I need to take my own advice as I’ve not posted since new year! So that’s my top priority tomorrow.

Hi Garry – We are starting to sound like Noddy and Big Ears agreeing with each other all the time, or maybe the two chipmunks. But I have to agree with what you said. Hey! How about a few paragraphs Gazza? That MASSIVE text block is so unlike you. What happened? Get carried away? LOL. If I want some eyeball exercise I’ll go and read a few pages of the New Testament. C’mon Gazza… lift your game!

BTW, thanks for the plug in the Profit Pulling Project newsletter #2 also. This was my “tough love” offering. I’m just so not into sugar-coating everything. That is how our respective Governments have set about destroying our countries – by rewarding the non-producers and taxing the living suitcase out of the producers. Anyway, I’ll save that for another time.

Howdy Alan – Nice to see you here. Links. Hmm. Sometimes it is so very tempting to leave a link – especially if it is the BEST way to point to further information. However, I ALWAYS try to put myself into the shoes of the blog owner. Will this person appreciate it or will they think I am merely trying to pimp myself or “bleed” their blog?

Many of you will notice that I no longer add my URL after my name. I listened to what Paula Brett said and decided that she had far more experience in this than me, so I followed her advice. Thanks Paula! I actually feel more comfortable now as a consequence.

Alan, there are a couple of forums around the place (eg WF) where if you do one itty-bitty little thing wrong you will be crucified. Leaving just ONE link that even hints of self-promotion will get your head torn off by the angry pride of lions that stalk those places. I have seen it happen and I have actually jumped to the defence of the “offender” and copped a bit of a whack myself for even having the gall to go against the pack. But they were out of line themselves – and I haven’t been back since. They can get stuffed if they are gonna behave like that. DH’s.

You can get away with it here because we have a very civil bunch of people and I think the experienced ones cut the inexperienced ones a LOT of slack here. But I wouldn’t recommend it outside the “hive,” so to speak.

The rule of thumb is – if in doubt, don’t.

    Thanks Gazza and thanks Alan.

Hello Carl – Nice to see you here. Yes, you also make some valid points. That is why these blogs are so valuable. People can pick and choose what they want to take away with them.

I think so long as the blogs are being up-dated and “feeding” the people they are OK.

I tend to watch for a fall-off in interest and when that happens I throw up another discussion. Well, maybe that was a poor choice of words. But you know what I mean.

    Thanks for coming by Carl.

    Hi Gary,

Yep, don’t know what happened with the formatting in my last comment, LOL.

Guess I was a little busy in that I was in middle of doing stuff for the PPP#2 release. It’s live now by the way folks (just this second) so grab your copy now

Hey Gary, what’s the ‘issue’ with leaving your blog URL in your footing? Must of missed that.

    Garry Parkes
(with my blog URL left until I find out a reason why it is not a good idea!!!)

  26. Gary

Hi Garry – Yeah. Sheesh mate – so unlike you. I thought you’d become a lawyer or something.

I have just this moment printed of the Profit Pulling Project #2 AND left a message at your blogsite – so we are at it yet again! LOL!

URL’s? Um, no real issue as such. I had a visit by Paula Brett last week and what she said made a lot of sense so I just decided to drop it. It saves time and it’s a good habit to get into if we visit the more “PRICKLY” blogs and forums – you know WHO I mean!

I’ll have to try and track down that Paula post then. Thing is mate, you’ve got that much activity here I may get lost in the jungle for a while, LOL I told you when I come for my ‘official’ visit I am going to need inoculations ?

And what does PTA stand for? Now I know I’m going to regret asking that, but hey if you don’t ask you don’t learn,

Completely off topic and therefore also against your rules, so I’m sorry in advance…but…I’ve just seen the pics down the RHS of your blog. I’d seen the ones of your puppalitos as you call them, but I hadn’t seen the others – walking your daughter down the aisle must have been incredible, and you’re clearly a very proud father.

Just wanted to say that I thought it was a lovely photo to share with us all!

Ok, I’m not going to write anything more that’s off-topic (yeah, right!).

  29. Coleen

    Hello There

I stopped by to tell you that I thought your article in Garry’s newsletter was very very good, but gee wizz Gary, I don’t think you need anymore praise do you!!!

Regarding what Nigel said about turning your info on good blogging habits into an e-book, maybe you could actually use it as a ‘special report’ or set it in your auto-responder as a series of e-classes when someone opts in for your free e-book so that you can keep up your marketing efforts once you have a confirmed opt in.

Anyway, I’ll say it Gary Simpon………..Your article in Gary Parkes newsletter was absolutely fabulous. True, straight to the point, spot on and totally 100% correct. (okay, so you already know that smarty goanna knees!!)

    See Ya
ps. you got up at 5am to answer comments and I’m going to be at 2.30am after visiting blogs!!!.. are we all crazy LOL

    Hi Gary,

Thanks for giving me the credit. lol.

If you have notice, i have been checking on your blog daily and leaving comments on it. Actually,I am now one of your biggest fan. I am being honest here.

What i like about your blog is you like to engage people to have a go on you like Garry parkes. Sometime is provocative but most of the time i have a great laugh. Your blog have a life of it’s own, you know.

Gary, you do have natural writing style that i love to copy but i will never be Gary. I try to copy a little of your writing style here and there. I will be following you daily from now onwards. This is one of my main objective for this year. Interacting with you guys. I am beginning to enjoy this.

Oh! before i sway from it too much, Let me say your blog is totally damn popular. I might not agree with the seven reasons but what the heck.

Enjoy every minute of my time here.

    Adios for now.

    Hi Gary:

Just curious- How much time are you investing (priming the pump, marketing) a day blogerooning, (reading and writing)?

Okay , I’ll get the party started for today…

  32. Nigel Yip

    Hey Gary

Thought I pop by to see how everything was going on Gary Land as today, it seems like a sudden mass inactivity has happened. Is it to do with the “PRICKLY” blogs and forums that you were mentioning about – would like to know more

Right, best get back to my new eBook which was a PLR eBook and now has been massacred and will be continously pulverised by me (only 15 pages left), so speak soon.

  33. Adam

    Hi Gary,

Thanks for the reply–I think you are absolutely right with your response on your blog. The comment interaction on the blog is valuable for all to see, and a lot of times it answers questions that multiple people have.

And my personal e-mail replies have mostly been for F500 members and JV partners. I agree that the comment interaction just helps to spur on more activity and response–I replied to your comment on my blog, and I’ll be doing more comment interaction on my blog from now on.

Also BTW–I thought your section in Garry Parkes newsletter was great—I loved your term “Excusiologist!”

    Talk soon

  34. Thom Swartwood

Just wanted to drop you a line and give you kudos on the article in the latest Profit Pulling Project Newsletter.

    Great Job.

Stop on over and check out my post. After reading this edition I had to post on it.

Again thanks for the kind words.

  35. Gary

My goodness! I knew this would happen. I have made a rod for my own back – LOL!

Oh well, It’s all good. I’m gonna do this two at a time, just like Noah.

Machine – Gazza, I will locate what Paula said and let you know… here. But it may take some time to sift through all the comments. In any case I will find it.

When you come for your official visit I will meet you at the Gary-Land International Teleport and I will be wearing my official greeting uniform. You know, the one with the CLASP. LOL.

Gazza, don’t you remember that song? I just bastardized the name from Harper Valley. PTA stands for Parents & Teachers’ Association. Tame huh? And you were worried. I thought PTA was rather apt for your blog.

Nix – Yeah. I was wondering if anybody had noticed them. They have been there for about 2 weeks and yours is the very first comment. Well spotted. I can honestly say that when the music started and I walked my daughter through the curtain and we took that very first step down that VERY LONG aisle that it definitely was the proudest moment of my life. Only fathers with daughters will ever experience that moment, that feeling, that enormous mixture of pride and sadness. I’ll have to stop now coz it makes me emotional all over again.

    Thanks Gazza and Nix.

Gee whiz to you too Coleen! – Congratulations to you too on your article in the Profit Pulling Project newsletter #2. Regarding the people you mention in your article, I have studied a lot of the material from Bywater and Sun and others. In fact, I have master re-sale rights to a lot of the products of these guys. I have also studied Caples (the Great-Grand-Daddy of advertising techniques) where many of these guys source their information.

Smarty goanna knees? That’s a new one – even on me. Very funny. Don’t tell Mr Smarty Pants Austin that. Oops, I shouldn’t have said that, huh?

I think the info that I imparted above would be rather useless as an e-book now – considering it is freely available here. I had those thoughts but I wanted to slap it up ASAP to help the F500 as quickly as I could. But I will be using it as a pointer to other people so I can direct them to this blog. But thanks for the suggestion anyway.

Regarding… “I don’t think you need anymore praise do you!!!” What? No way! Heap it on! LOL!

Hi Jeffrey – Well, since you were the first to identify the technique I was using I thought I should acknowledge you for it. Thanks for your comments above. I really do appreciate them. The truth is, Jeffrey, I have read and studied so many books that a lot of what I have absorbed just kinda oozes out in my writing. Quite often I even fascinate myself and wonder… “Now where the hell did that come from?” But it is pretty much regurgitation of very unoriginal material that I am now able to profess in my own way. Whenever I get stuck on a fact I have a reference library of many hundreds of books to check on.

Thanks Coleen and Jeffrey for adding value to this blog and allowing me to explain things a bit further. That is the extra value that people bring here. When a question is asked I do my best to answer it coz I know that if ONE person has the courage to ask then there are probably ten more people just wondering silently to themselves. And that remark, in itself, actually adds to the answer I gave to Adam way back up in the thread here.

Bear in mind, too, that I am just one person with one person’s opinion. I could be wrong. What I usually do – especially on the net where “disinformation” abounds everywhere is corroborate whatever facts I “learn” with at least one but preferably two INDEPENDENT sites.

says – Click on Alex Jeffreys to see how YOU too can build a successful and profitable Internet Marketing Business.

  37. Gary

Hi Denis – Oh quidnuncer of questions. LOL! Now, don’t get me started on allegoric alliteration or metaphoric mauling.

Yes, this is my “testing ground.” Well spotted. When I invite the masses in then they will have a vast selection of material to read or comment on. At the moment it is pretty much “in house.” But it won’t be for much longer. You will start to see some new names and faces before too much longer.

Um, how many hours? As many as I can spare Denis. I know that sounds like a fobby answer but it isn’t. I just fit as much time in here as I can spare. 15-20 minutes, an hour, two hours. I am back and forth all day and all night trying to get as much done as I can. But it is interspersed with everything else I do.

I think I mentioned this before (somewhere) but I have two desks in my office and I zip and zap back and forth like a bit of a maniac. Plus, I have taught myself how to really hammer my efforts for maximum effectiveness. I can get done in one hour what it might take other people 2 or 3 or even more hours to do.

I am very efficient with my time. For example, my e-book on planning – the Time in Motion ACTION Planner… that took me just under 5 hours to type that all up. The “Blogging Techniques” blog post above only took me about 20 minutes to do the first draft then I kept coming back and tweaking it to what you finally see here. When I write I do it VERY fast.

Hi Nigel – What I was trying to say there is that the F500 community is most UNLIKE any other forum or blog that I have ever seen.

There are so many forums and blogs out there that are ruled with an iron fist. Some are just downright nasty. In the one that I referenced – and I mentioned this on Parkesy’s blog a few weeks ago – there are half a dozen “gang members” who love nothing better than to come in and humiliate newbies for their perceived lack of knowledge. I watched them do it to some poor guy and then I waded into the fray.

I didn’t like what the guy did either but it wasn’t a crucifiable offence. They went WAY over the top with their moronic behaviour. I don’t like that. Anyway, I haven’t posted there again. If they are gonna be like that then they can have it all to themselves. Count me out.

So, Nigel, are you gonna give us a hint about the e-book, or just leave us all in suspenders?

    Hey Gaz-Man,

Congratulations for your contribution to the PPP Newsletter once again.

Mate I love the way you just tell it like it is and if people don’t like it, they can click away or stay and learn something that will be of benefit to them.

I always come away from reading one of your comments, articles or even the odd occasional rant, with a smile on my face and the inspiration to push forward, continue to learn and try to improve today, on what I did yesterday.

Thanks again for sharing you knowledge, insight, wisdom and being an inspiration!

OK, it’s alright… give yourself a big pat on the back and then back on your head!

That’s what I’m doing and that’s partly thanks to you! :)

    Gazz man

Thanks for your reply – I’ve been and looked at pageresource as Ken suggested and I’ve even managed to do some things like using bold on my own comments, so I am getting there!

Thanks also for popping over to my daughter’s blog – she really appreciated that. She knew who you were because she’s been reading some of your comments over my shoulder! Your noteriety preceeds you – even amongst 11 yr olds!

I’ve bought her her own domain and am just waiting for the hosting to come through, so hopefully by the weekend she’ll be able to start her own wordpress blog and I can help her with it.

They often say that the best way to consolidate knowledge is to use it to help someone else learn the same thing and that is what I intend doing. I can write about it in my blog then!

  40. Gary

Hi Adam – Can I make a confession? That term “excusiologist” was borrowed from a seminar I attended some 15 or so years ago. I’m not 100% sure but I think the originator was Peter Daniels, a man who I admire very much. Strangely enough, I have all of his books and tapes too! LOL! All I did was take the term and weave it into my own concoction to suit my own purpose. Like I said before, when replying to Jeffrey above, I am a great regurgitator.

Hi Thom – Thanks mate. If I can sting somebody into action and throw that switch inside their head then I will consider it a good achievement. But it is a bit like preaching to the already converted here, at least with those who are regular commenters (glad to see you are falling into that category – LOL). However, I know from the many hits that this post is getting (in my c-panel that Garry Parkes talks a lot about in the PPP newsletter) that the true ratio is approximately 12 to 1 (ie for every person who comments here there are about 10 to 12 who don’t – give or take for those who come back several times to read replies).

says – Click on Alex Jeffreys to see how YOU too can build a successful and profitable Internet Marketing Business.

  41. Gary

Heh… heh… that Gazz-Man term is really taking off. I’m seeing it on quite a few other blogs now and I find it amusing. Anyway, that’s what my friends over here all call me so I figured it was OK to use on the blogs. They also call me G-man, G-Force or Special K (don’t ask – family joke) or just plain old D*ckhe*d when I take jokes to the nth degree and just wear everybody’s patience to a frazzle. Gazz-man is also good when I want to talk about myself in the third person. So, it’s just another writing/marketing technique. Having crapped on about myself for an entire dull and dreary paragraph…

Hohnsy – Howdy! I was at the Hohn-House yesterday and couldn’t resist commenting about your post on “WOW! They want to interview ME!” Well, Duh! Why wouldn’t they? You are as equally fascinating as anyone else around here. I am really looking forward to reading/listening to those interviews just to find out more about everyone.

On that score, I notice that very FEW people have been prepared to chuck up any photos or any personal material on their blogs. I did that several weeks ago coz, well, I figured if I took a lead then maybe others might follow. Like, has anyone even SEEN what Garry Parkes looks like? Nup. All we see is that big goofy Eye of London thing of his. I’m sick of that bloody ninja eyeball Parkesy! I’m gonna stick my bloody finger in it soon. Show yerself Machine Man Parkes. And that goes for everyone. Coleen‘s got her pic up there on her blog. Right on the banner. So, what’s wrong with the rest of you? Scared?

Oops… I’m suppressing a RANT here. “Gotta get it under control. Gotta get it under control. Gotta get it under control.” Whew!

As I was saying, ladies and gentlemen, if you haven’t got at least a gravatar (not some dopey Futurama cartoon eye or whatever – boy, am I getting into you Parkesy – LOL!) then how about a nice pic or two on your blogsite? While I am on that have you seen Nix? Check out her “About Page” for a bigger pic. Hubba. Hubba! Enough of that… BE-have!

See what you started Hohnsy? OK. Like you suggested, I just gave myself a slap upside my head. Knocked the living daylights out of myself too!

Right, time to move on to more serious matters…

Hello Hilary – I shall try not to be so hilarious now. Sorry. But I have been waiting for a segue opportunity to get that out for about the last half dozen replies to you. Now I can finally move on.

Yep. Another example of the help on hand here. Ken leaves a message and it helps Hilary. But not ONLY Hilary (coming back to you again here Adam) coz I will bet that many others read that very useful piece of information and went straight to that site to help themselves. I even went and checked it out. I found it a bit basic for my liking but then I nipped over to the javascript section and spent about ten minutes reading about buttons and how to use buttons to change page colours etc – not that I wanna do that – but it was interesting. So, Kenny, a BIG thankyou for posting that comment!

Oh golly! Your daughter is reading my comments Hilary? Gee. Maybe I need to clean up my act a bit. Say hello to Lizzie for me.

You know something Hilary? That was a wonderful thing that you did for your daughter. She’s gonna have her own wordpress blog? WOW! Just imagine the experience she will have by the time she is 18! She’ll never have to work for some dopey boss in her entire life. Wow. I can’t get over that. Hey, I’m gonna be interested to watch her progress. Hmm, I can only imagine what a bunch of 11 year old girls will banter on about. Second thoughts… make sure she has a password protected area for her friends. LOL!

Well, as Bugs Bunny used to say, “Yibbida, yibbida… that’s all folks!” Or was it Porky Pig? I forget. Who cares anyway?

    Hey Gary

Couldn’t agree with you more about some of the inapproriate seen on some of the iron fisted blog I’ve been visiting.

We definately have a wonderful communitiy spirit here, which I think is essential, and being that we’re in a group, these nincompoop people who try and squish us newbies at the moment, before we have even had a chance to speak properly, will soon be quivering in their wake, when the students here of fortunate 500, graduate in a few weeks time and unleash our united power and force of Internet Dominatation as Alex was talking about in the previous module.

Then they will see that maybe, they should have been nicer to us newbies.
Afterall it’s much better to have another friend than an extra enemy. I seriously urge that all students should still keep in contact and stick together, even though we maybe off doing our own online ventures after this course. If we JV properly with each other here, there going to be no way stopping out income stream getting bigger and make our o’great mentor Alex be really proud of all the effort he has nutured into us.

Right, I think I’ve digressed a bit, oops! Now, the new eBook, well I’ve put a new post on my blog and at the end of that post, there is a hint there, and I think those who investigate and implement what I will be discussing in my new eBook further, then it would be a very good long profitable earner.

Chou for now, second night in a row hehe, where I visit your blog before I go bedsey – Speak soon!

  43. Gary

Yo Nige – Way to go. Notice I haven’t called you the Yip-Man for a while? I was waiting for that kung-fu fighting energy to come back. Looks like it’s back.

Yep. I don’t see any point in incessantly pulverising somebody for a stupid mistake. Hell, we all make them. I felt really sorry for that bloke. It happened a couple of years ago now. He was descended upon by a pack of rabid wolves and everybody just stood back and lurked. After I did what I did I got a few PM’s in my account over at that place saying thanks for helping him. But none of them wanted to. Anyway, that’s all ancient history now. I just don’t promote the place and only ever refer to it by its initials.

Hey, I’m liking your enthusiasm. Now Nigel, if I go there it’s gonna be a REAL hint, isn’t it? Not some cryptic offering that only the Yipster can decipher. It’s not like the F in 13 thing is it? Coz, man, I am STILL scratching my head over that one. How about something like… “Take the L out of lover and it’s over.”? (BTW… that’s a song title).

Bedsey… indeed. Nighty night Nige! (I do love alliteration – LOL)

Congrats on a fantastic piece in the newsletter!!

I am glad that I was able to help Hilary I know the site was like finding gold when I found it.

Nigel… I love the comment about it being better to have another friend rather than an extra enemy..

  45. Gary

Hi Ken – Thanks mate. I went out to buy a hat today but nobody could find one big enough – LOL! Seriously, I get a real kick out of doing stuff like that when I know it has such a capacity to help people.

Yeah, thanks again for putting that address here. You should have bunged it up as a live link. I wouldn’t have minded one bit. What I object to – with just about eveyone else – is spam and link bleeds to places that offer little or no value to anyone except the person who added it. Clearly, that would not have been the case in the link you provided.

I agree with your praise for Nigel‘s comment. We are starting to accumulate some real thinkers here on this blog. I concur with your assessment of what Nigel said. Well done Yip-Man!

Notice of an Event NOT to be Missed

The Gazz-Man is negotiating to bring a very BIG surprise to Gary-Land. This has been on the drawing board for some time. Some VERY special and VERY talented people are on the way. More details will be posted as developments enter their final phases. Timing is one or maybe two weeks away and definitely AFTER Alex Jeffreys completes his back to back Modules this weekend. Stay tuned into Gary-Land for further notices.

says – Click on Alex Jeffreys to see how YOU too can build a successful and profitable Internet Marketing Business.

  47. Nigel Yip

    Hey Gary,

hehe, yes Yip-Man is finally coming back after the inner energy Chi got shattered but it’s rebuilding fast!!!!

Right anyway, the hint on my new blog post is still a bit skimpy but I do urge you to visit if possible as I’ve posted some really interested info on a certain topic which I think will strike some chord with some.

I hope it will also provide value to those who view it as well a quick insight to one of the methods that some internet marketers use. Oh did I mention about the new ‘Ten Commandments” within, which, I think everyone should know about if they choose this method/path to creating their new eBooks.

If you do not wish to visit just yet – then make a note of the 10th, of January @ 9am GMT time as that is the next time when I will be posting about my latest. I know for some of us that a weekend day and that we would have been knackered by the back-to-back webinar modules with Alex, but seriously, I’ve already written that post up and have scheduled it – it’s kool – Well I hope it is.

    All the best

  48. Nigel Yip

^ last paragraph should have read:

If you do not wish to visit just yet – then make a note of the 10th, of January @ 9am GMT time as that is the next time when I will be posting about my latest creation. I know for some of us that a weekend day and that we would have been knackered by the back-to-back webinar modules with Alex, but seriously, I’ve already written that post up and have scheduled it – it’s kool – Well I hope it is and it going to be quite ecstatic for me. hehe

    All the best

  49. Nikki

I found Paula’s comment on etiquette and posted it over on Garry’s blog for him, so he’s seen it now – thought I’d make myself useful for once!

I can’t believe I’m the first one to have noticed your other pics, but then I am pretty observant (oh, ok, I’m just nosy!). My nan is forever on about ‘special’ relationships that fathers have with their daughters – I have to say it isn’t something I’ve noticed (not going into family history here, don’t worry). I think your daughter is lucky to have someone that is genuinely interested in and supportive of her life, and can have that ‘proud daddy’ moment at all sorts of occasions.

I’ve just got to work, think I’ll stop now before I move into deep & meaningful territory! Oh, and I’m off-topic AGAIN! Sorry!

Guess you’ll just have to discipline me… ;)

  50. Gary

Yo Nigel – Just been over to the Yip-Man to answer all this. Good to see you have your chi and MOJO back Yipster! LOL!

says – Click on Alex Jeffreys to see how YOU too can build a successful and profitable Internet Marketing Business.

  51. Gary

Nix – My little baby’s wedding. Oh, what a day it was. I have never felt SO PROUD for so long – all day and all the next day. I thought I was gonna burst. Truly!

Nix, you did a great job tracking down the wise words of the Brettster. I have been doing as Paula said for a while now – a few days anyway. Her words just made sense and I liked it, so I implemented it.

You can always have a D&M with the Gazz-Man in private email. Or a S&M – LOL! Discipline you? Ha! Like smack your bottom when you are a naughty girl? Somehow I just think I have opened up a big can of worms.

PS: When are ya gonna tell us how you installed that really groovy-baby social networking suite on your Nickelodeon site? It is very bootylacious.

says – Click on Alex Jeffreys to see how YOU too can build a successful and profitable Internet Marketing Business.

  52. Nikki

D&M? And there I was thinking I’d heard it all…as for a can of worms, I would certainly go for a big one – I find there’s not much point in dealing with anything smaller… ;)

Anyway, enough nonsense from me (unlikely!). I’ve been trying to write you a very basic instruction guide on how I set up OnlyWire, but as I’m at work it’s taken a lot longer than I anticipated – since getting back on Monday it’s been pretty much non-stop here at work, hence the delay.

I haven’t forgotten though, so I hope to get something through to you in the next day or so…hope that’s ok!

  53. Gary

You mean like a salamander or an axolotl?

Make it as basic as you can Nix coz I have been using 440 volt bursts of brainpower here and I have a 2.30am start two days in a row to get to those back to back Modules live. Big THANKS Alex!

Great stuff – saw your comment and yeah it’s great – when are you planning your next blog post up and what this

“Notice of an Event NOT to be Missed” – are you throwing a get-together party? any hints?

Speak soon – busy day today and see you at the webinar!

says – Click on Alex Jeffreys to see how YOU too can build a successful and profitable Internet Marketing Business.

  60. Gary

I just wanted to do that to prove that I could make a REALLY short post. LOL!

says – Click on Alex Jeffreys to see how YOU too can build a successful and profitable Internet Marketing Business.

  61. Nikki

    And I didn’t think you’d believe that length was that important… ;)

  62. Nikki

Aha – I’ve remembered it was JT Martin that got me on to OnlyWire in the first place – I’ve gone and found his post (including my questions as comments when I got stuck) – click here & read for a much more logical explanation than I was going to provide!!

Now – the thing I had trouble with as you’ll see from my comments on that post was the whole installing the plugin thing. I’m using WP 2.7, and the plugin you get ISN’T a zip file. Therefore the ‘upload a plugin’ facility within WP wouldn’t recognise it.

To get around this, I added the plugin via my CPanel (see Dean Holland’s free ebook on how to do this).

The main point though is that you have to be signed up to each of these networking sites in the first place, and then in the Account part of OnlyWire (once set up) you can put your username and passwords for each of these (e.g. Facebook, Twitter etc). Then once you post something, or you see something you like on another blog (providing they’re also set up with OnlyWire) then you can click on Bookmark & Share and select which of your networking sites you wish to promote this to.

In my case, it then adds a note to my Wall in Facebook, and adds a post to Twitter with the post title and the link. Not sure how it works in the other networking sites as I haven’t explored those yet – perhaps someone else can comment on that?

Hope some of this makes some degree of sense!!

  63. Gary

Well, as I UNDERSTAND it (cough) it’s supposedly more about width, is it not? You know, the wider and more breadth we have in a “subject” tends to compensate greatly for the lack of depth. Well, so I am told anyway.

says – Click on Alex Jeffreys to see how YOU too can build a successful and profitable Internet Marketing Business.

  64. Gary

Nix It DOES make sense and thanx for the great explanation there. But I fear this is a labour intensive job and therefore requires a fair whack of time – which I don’t have right now. How (I almost fear to use this word) LONG did it take you?

says – Click on Alex Jeffreys to see how YOU too can build a successful and profitable Internet Marketing Business.

  65. Nikki

*Sitting on my hands to not write a little rhyme that goes along that theme*

  66. Gary

Hmm… That was interesting! If you are sitting on your hands and you are looking at the screen, what are you using to hit the keys with? I know it has been REALLY cold over there. I must say I am very impressed with your accuracy.

says – Click on Alex Jeffreys to see how YOU too can build a successful and profitable Internet Marketing Business.

  67. Nikki

Once I’d finished being an idiot about installing the plugin, it didn’t take long BUT that’s only because I was already signed up to Facebook and Twitter. IMHO the thing that will take the time is signing up to each of those networking sites which is why I haven’t done it yet.

As for the actual installation of OnlyWire, someone that uses the info above and therefore doesn’t fall down the holes that I did – 15 mins?

Used a text widget in the Dashboard side of my blog to get the OnlyWire button installed, you get given the code to copy & paste into it.

Hope that makes sense? Not sure if I’m just off on a mission now!!

  68. Gary

Yep. That was what I read on JT’s blog. It just looked so labour intensive that I baulked at it coz my time over the last few days has been seriously eroded with numerous off-line activities, mostly business related that I just had to get done.

says – Click on Alex Jeffreys to see how YOU too can build a successful and profitable Internet Marketing Business.

If I can do it, then anyone can do it…I’ll try to make a more detailed guide for you anyway & will send it through for your perusal, but figured what I’d put above was a good starter for 10.

  70. Gary

says – Click on Alex Jeffreys to see how YOU too can build a successful and profitable Internet Marketing Business.

  71. Nikki

Have you not heard of the phrase “starter for ten”?

  72. Coleen

Well I’m here, having a browse around so I may as well say hi at the same time… hello!!!

As usual you have a great conversation going on. You and Nixxie Pixxie certainly have alot to talk about Gary Simpson.

I really like Scott Bywater ad I also like Brett McFall’s style, although he is no longer actively a copywriter. One of the first things I did when I first entered the internet marketing industry was take note of how Sales Letters were written, presented and formatted. Right down to colors and stuff. There’s always something new to learn but I think my greatest lesson has been test and measure ‘one thing at a time’ so that it is easy to know what works and what doesn’t!

    Catch ya.
    Another late night

  73. Denis Caron

    Hi Gary:

A little off topic-but then not really-I gotta say-You and Nikki are the only two who want to take a ride on the “train”. Are you sure you two can permanently be in the same car together? I’m afraid that I’ll wake up one morning and my monitor will be melted and the hard drive fried. I’ve been holding out for a chaperon. No takers. Quite a conundrum…

I won’t mind if you read and then delete this part… Also, I did answer one of your comments over at my site (Post-Hit The Ground…I’m not pimping, really), as to why I think you’re doing this whole Alex Jeffreys thing. You’ll see a line there, where it is evident that I tried with all my might to NOT place a remark pertaining to you and Nikki. That was most difficult.

  74. Garry Parkes

    Hm, Hm my friend,

Are you running scared? Hiding for cover?

I can see I’ve got the upper hand in out battle and have you in fear before I’ve even started, LOL

I posted an opening salvo (comment) bl**dy hours upon hours ago mate which was temporarily held up by your first line of defence (comment moderation). Come on get your act together, or my attack (comment) will be half way up your thread and have lost the impact. Or is that your intention – playing dirty, huh?. :-) Or have you finally realised the monumental error of you misdirected challenge and decided to retreat while you still can :-)

Ding-Ding, Round one to me I think. I’m hoping for a better contest than that, I’ve my weapons all cleaned and ready (okay I’ve cleaned my keyboard then!)

    Garry Parkes

  75. Nikki

    Hi Denis,

That’s because only the Gaz-Man and I can take the excitement of being on your train! Although whether the train can cope with having Gary and I both on there together when you’ve seen some of our conversations is a different matter entirely…and I don’t think you’ll find anyone willing to chaperone us, unless there’s any ex-SAS types reading this?!

Just read your post mentioned above, and I haven’t quite worked out how the Gaz-Man and I would fit in there ( ;) you’ll need lots of room either way) – but then it is nearly 6pm here and I’m still at work so have gone a little confused from looking at a computer screen all day…unless it was something to do with enticing people?!

  76. Gary

OK, I’m gonna be brief here. Gotta… it’s 2.44am in Perth, Western Australia and I am getting ready for the Webinar Special Bonus Module. It’s such a GREAT time. Thanks very much Alex!

First Nix Nope – never heard of that term. It must be an English one.

Next Cols – Oops sprung. Me and Nix doing naughty things in the playground. I am familiar with Bywater, Sun, McFall and even Neocleous. I have a LOT of their material and it is all good – even if they have all cloned each other.

Finally Denis – Me and Nix are probably attracting some people with raincoats. LOL. As for us two being the ONLY two on your train… Hmm… that surprises me. I think that is such a good idea. But maybe if it is just us two as the passengers then it will be a STEAM train.

Denis, I have been having a HUGE problem with your blog so I am really glad you came by. I have been there so many times and have been completely unable to post a comment. I have hit all sorts of links and they just lead to dead ends.

As you know, I think your theme is wonderful and I’d really like to have it here on my old Volkswagen blog theme. However, you mentioned before that you have been having some difficulties and I have been virtually locked out of making comments. Many times. It all started when you put up that really clever poster for the PPP#2. So, I expect many other bloggers have had trouble too. You need to check that. Sorry to say so here. But I am wondering if others have experienced the same trouble with your site. Hence, my comment here.

OK. Time to run. The webby is on in 5 minutes.

says – Click on Alex Jeffreys to see how YOU too can build a successful and profitable Internet Marketing Business.

  77. Nikki

PS – Denis – just trying to read your Go Google Yourself entry – when I try to click on the ‘read more’ bit it just loads up the heading, with no text underneath…you may have already spotted this, but thought it was worth a mention in case anyone else is having the same problem…

  78. Gary

Nix – Exactly! That is the same trouble I have had at Denis’s site. I have been there to comment repeatedly & that is what happens to me. OK. That was my first problem. Now to my second problem…

… agh! I got up at 2.30am my time – because I used the WORLD CLOCK site to convert the “EST” for the Webinar and I must have completely stuffed up. Now – dopey me – realises that it is ACTUALLY 8.00am my time and that Alex’s website now has a time converter. Boy that is HELPFUL coz…

… I was getting so confused with WPT, EST, GMT etc, etc. I thought I was having PMT! Duh.

So, I can go back to bed for a few hours. Anyway, I’m here now at this UNGODLY hour so I’ll just answer a few more comments then tootle back to beddie-byes.

    You’re next Parkesy! … Mummy’s boy… LOL!

says – Click on Alex Jeffreys to see how YOU too can build a successful and profitable Internet Marketing Business.

  79. Gary

Parkesy, Gazza (oops), the “MACHINE,” two R Garry, man of many names – the “EYE,” Mumsy’s widdle boy – Right. Just gimme five minutes. I have a REALLY annoying fly in my office and coz I have the light on (coz it is like 3.26am – DUH!) this blasted insect keeps buzzing me. Round and round my head like a big helicopter. Well, the Gazz-Man is gonna do what he does to any INSECT that annoys him… SPLAT!

Parkesy, unlike SOME people, the Gazz-Man NEVER plays dirty – doesn’t have to. The Gazz-Man will take on any and all comers HEAD on! LOL!

I swear, this bloody fly is gonna be D… E… A… D before I go back to bed.

Now Parkesy, I can’t help it if you POST your asinine comments on the WRONG thread (the Books and People thread) where it was clubbed over the boundary rope like a Ricky Ponting (cricket folks) six. There Parkesy, I gave you a wee opening – go on… make a disparaging remark about the almighty Aussie cricket team – STILL world champions, unlike your feeble English “no star” team.

Ugh, that *&%#*@# fly! Every time I stand up to get a bead on the mongrel thing, it disappears. Like SOMEBODY else we know… LOL!

says – Click on Alex Jeffreys to see how YOU too can build a successful and profitable Internet Marketing Business.

  81. Garry Parkes

    Hi Gary,

    Just got your email.

See what happens with this comment then

  82. Garry Parkes

    Hi Gary,

That one seems fine. Posted straight away without going into moderation.

Who knows what happened earlier on then. !

Thanks Nikki for getting in undercover as requested :-)

  83. Nikki

As I pointed out on my blog in reply to you Garry, subtlety and the concept of me being incognito anywhere just isn’t happening!

I still think it’s because you changed your email address, as I had to moderate your comment on my blog as well…just my thoughts on it!

Gaz-Man, have you see what Garry put on my blog yet??

  84. Gary

Nix – Jeez, Parkesy must be desperate! Running over to my little “lady friend’s” site. How incredulous.

OK, Parkesy, you got my email. What is going on? It has to be something you are doing your end… Oh… I GET it… another sneaky trick huh? Trying to disrupt the balance of the Gazz-Man’s thread. Heh…heh… sorry that won’t work.

Ugh… that BLOODY fly… I had to get the spray out coz it was sitting right up in the corner of my office wall… hiding (or thinking it was hiding). So, the Gazz-Man has gone into his armoury and retrieved a suitable weapon – FLY SPRAY – and blasted that annoying creature.

Damn! Now it is on the floor buzzing around in its death throes. And I have to put up with that yucky smell of the spray and it is doing whirly-gigs on the floor. Hang on…

Yep, the trusty sole of my number nine (don’t get excited Nix!) has just put paid to its existence. Now, where were we…

“Hi my little RANUNCULUS (that’s YOU Nix),

Oh, Parkesy, what a desperado! What the HELL is he doing? And he thinks I have multiple personalities. Jeez.

Glad you liked the ;) !!!!

  89. Gary

OK Nix – You run along love. Get to Tesco’s or wherever and buy your zucchinis and cucumbers and whatever else you need for tea. Thanks for the banter. Looks like Parkesy has disengaged. Lucky for him!

Yeah, Garry’s gone out, he left me a note on his blog offering me a quickie…

No idea what I fancy for food tonight, got very little at home though so really need to get something sensible. (Figured I might need to stop with the suggestive sentences!).

BTW I did reply to your email earlier when you get to it, don’t worry, it’s not too long (and you know how I normally like it to be long and thi…wait a minute, REALLY must stop myself!)

    Hi Gary:

First of all-don’t worry-I already think it..

YEOW!!! No idea there was a problem. I’ve had comments before and after since then though. Were you commenting on a post in particular? I’ve had comments go through on all of them. I asked my tech guy, why? He says, no idea. Why would one person’s comments get dead ended and everyone else’s go through? HELP-can someone just shoot me off a comment to any of my posts? Just write TEST, and that will be fine. Is it me or Gary? That is the question. Thanks everyone…

Gary, thanks so much for letting me use your ever-so-popular-so-full-of-relevant-content-always-getting-more-comments-than-that-Garry-fellow’s-blog to help me in addressing my problem…

    For you and Nikki:
I am copying my reply to your comment (that I mentioned above from my site) so you’ll understand what I was talking about…

    So Gary:
Are you sure you’re not doing all of this just to get us to buy your latest novel? Build up a rabid fan base, and then unleash the MONSTER…………….. Let’s see, how would an internet marketer do it? In order to help you suppress a possible rant you will now see that you can see me and not just an outline….and unlike some there is more than an eye but due to the sunglasses you will need to take my word for it.

    Hi Gazz man

Well I’ve finally got to the end of these ripostes argh!

I have one idea about the problem at Denis’s site. When I just popped over there I noticed that when I went to look at the rest of the post page (and nothing appeared) the URL showed the comment name and not the =? (page no) that is the default.

Denis did you go to Thomas’s WIDLAS site and install the SEO optimiser that he suggests?

The same thing happened to my posts when I did that so I uninstalled it. I did speak to Thomas about it and he was going to get back to me to help, but he’s obviously been busy so I haven’t done anything with it yet.

    Just a thought.

I’m about to be kicked off this computer so I’ll finish here and go and set up the laptop to continue…

  95. Gary

Hi Denis – Your very first sentence… straight to the point man! My kinda guy. Very funny. And it made me laugh.

OK. Serious bit first. I go to your site – as I have done many times. I see headlines and some comments but when I try to comment all I get is a headline – no text, no comments and NO way to leave a comment. Just tried again and SAME result. It’s a shame if there is a fault with that theme coz, as you know, I personally think it is the best theme I have seen in all of Blog-Land.

Thought I’d better tell you that coz I really DO wanna leave some comments but I am unable to. I have tried many times over the last week and I have been confronted by this every time. I think I was able to once or twice but there seems to be a pretty big problem with the site. I didn’t want you to think I was being rude or ignoring you.

OK. I’m gonna put that up so you get my feedback ASAP.

Back to you Denis – You said:

    “So Gary:

Not a bad idea Denis. But I think Stephen King tried that and it was a fizzer. Nope. My novel will come out in hardback. But I LIKE the way you are thinking? LOL.

    Get ya site working!

Hi Ken – That too was very funny. You are no-doubt referring to my jibe at Garry Parkes and his dopey “Eye of London – ninja-style – Futurama-like eyeball thingy.” I’m gonna poke him in it soon. I wanna see the guy! I talked Nix into it (gee, and look what I unleashed there – LOL!) and quite a few others, so why does he wanna remain “THE EYE?”

Ken, never suppress a decent RANT – especially if it is something that aggravates, antagonises or just impassions you. Rants are good. I love ‘em. I’m even getting Mark Austin (Mr SP) involved in them. He had an apprentice-rant over at Parkesy’s the other day. Suppressing a real good rant is like trying to stop a sneeze. Let it out man!

Oh Hils – Finally, some female sanity in the house. Oh dear. I dunno what people must think of all that cut and thrust (bad word) stuff between me an Nix. She just gets me started – baits me EVERY time. That is one of my weaknesses – I can be baited. But I know it so sometimes the shark in me just swims around and doesn’t attack. But then along comes Nix… hook, line, sinker, rod (oh-oh). Anyway, I fall for it every time.

Hilary – thanks for that suggestion for Denis. We really have to get him on song with that site of his coz it’s a beauty.

Back to Denis – with reference to what Hilary suggested, could it be something to do with the PERMALINKS setting in your dashboard? Just trying to throw something up. If Mark Austin was here, he’d know. He knows EVERYTHING. But he’s absentia for about a week – off on vacation. Lucky bugger.

Denis, try David Smith. He’s a gun on wordpress (actually LOTS of things) or Austin Delaney or even JT. These are the guys that I turn to inside Blog-Land when there is a techie problem to be answered. Even Tommy-Gun Skavhellen. But I KNOW what Thomas has been up to. He will have a rather nice surprise for us all. Won’t you Thomas? Anyway, one of these guys will almost certainly know. We have some great talent in this F500.

Hope we can get you up and running.

Hils, thanks again darls. You’re a gem!

See you folks inside the Webinar. I believe we are having Maria Andros – the video Queen – as a guest. Should be good, especially since the Gazz-Man has just purchased a video with an inbuilt hard-drive. Soon you will all be able to SUFFER me on film. What next? Oh, I do have some BIG surprises in store for you all and one REALLY big one if you have seen the NOTICE on this thread.

    Hi Gazz-Man,

Enjoyed the post, had a Kevin Costner movie pop into my head ‘baseball – build it and they will come’ …..

Keep up the good work …. thanks for the email ;-)

Garry, this is a fantastic post! This is also expressed with the fact you’ve got about 100 comments, which for a single post, is just what everyone dreams of. :D

Like you say, keep your blog updated with new things. That’s one of the main things I’m going to be improving on this year, and will be making sure there’s plenty of content for my readers to absorb and take in!

When you interact with your blog readers, not only is it adding more ‘content’ to your blog (Which the search engines enjoy!) but it’s also making your visitors feel more welcome.

There is more chance they’ll come back and keep on commenting. One thing I ALWAYS make sure I do is reply to all the comments I receive over at – Wanna see, well leave me a comment! ;)

However, with people commenting on your blog, there is one thing that kind of gets on my nerves. You see, and there is absolutely not offense mean’t to anyone, it’s just something I’ve seen over the past year.

    Let me explain!…

When you post a comment, there’s the option for adding your website. But then at the end of the comment, some people seem to add that same URL too?! (Again, it’s just something I’ve seen over the past year on my blog. I don’t know what your thoughts are on this, but I do some people see it as rude!)

…I’ll be honest with you here, I don’t mind letting the odd person doing it. What probably gets me is the cheek of some!

    “Nice post!

    See where I’m coming from?

Anyway, I wasn’t meaning to post this much, but I did. Again though, nice post Gary, and I’ll be back for more! :P

  101. Gary

Hi Mark WOW! Nice comments and, if I am not mistaken, this is your FIRST time here at Gary-Land. Welcome!

Mark, I hear you bro’. I actually sought out the opinion of Paula Brett on this and it has been discussed fairly extensively here between me and many others. In fact, Nikki (Nix) Stephens was kind enough to go into my “White Hat, Grey Hat, Black Hat” blog thread and re-post Paula’s dissertation on that very matter over on Garry Parkes’ blog where it all got yet another going over. If you go over there you can see the discussion OR you can just click around here.

In your opening statement you said:

“Garry, this is a fantastic post! This is also expressed with the fact you’ve got about 100 comments, which for a single post, is just what everyone dreams of.”

Thanks for saying the “fantastic” part but… what I really wanted to do here is put my OO’s on the line – so to speak – and see what happened. I would have looked like a real Daffy Duck if this post had gotten only half a dozen or so comments but I knew it wouldn’t. Nevertheless, I went out on a limb and put myself up for testing and scrutiny. When you test yourself in the heat of battle you know what you are capable of. Thom Swartwood will know EXACTLY what I mean here.

Mark, I have been doing that a LOT in my “extra-curricular” activities in the last several years and I have been rewarded vastly for it. I am now known in many places for the things I do.

Never mind how much you are posting here – so long as it adds to the discussion and knowledge base. Most people are kinda long winded here anyway coz they, er, tend to follow my lead.

Thank you so much for wading into the fray at Gary-Land. It gets a bit bizarre here at times (hello Nix!) but there is always good info on offer. Speaking of which… I am about to compose a precis of this morning’s excellent Alex Jeffreys’ Internet Marketing Webinar with Maria Andros – the Video Marketing Queen. Just for the record I took 8 pages of notes.

    Gary and especially Hilary:

Thanks so much for your time and trouble. Your suggestions are duly noted and I’m trying to get it all cleared up (along with the 8″ of snow in my driveway).

Hilary-I don’t believe we have formally met-so Hello! It’s just one big party over here. I’ll come visit you tomorrow.

Gary-one last thought-It might be a wild thought…but…maybe Garry Parkes IS Alex Jeffreys. Think about it. Has anyone ever seen them together at the same time? No pictures, no avatar, not much history, he was already up and running before we got started. Who knows what he really sounds like, on any call in? What better way for the general to spy on his troops and be the proverbial fly on the wall. Hmmmmmmmmm…..

    Thanks again all,

  103. Gary

Denis – What a delicious thought. But no. Not a chance in hell. The Gazz-man’s superior ability to examine and analyse writing styles would have detected that IMMEDIATELY.

Parkesy, is just being mischievous. Or… maybe he is another Joseph Merrick. Oh, you SO deserved that Parkesy for daring to cross swords with the Gazz-man. LOL! Mate!

    Hi Again…Gazza,
Well this is a record i’m doing 2 posts one after the other on you site and articles..been missing in action for a while and it shows.

Great post and very insightful in what you have listed as the 7 key points, with a lot of content / room for people to manoeuvre in developing their approach on both article and the development of their blog site and business..

What I have found in many years of teaching is that “Common Sense Is Rarely Practiced!” …and this fits into this category..

Once again…great advice and insight…look forward to more…

    Best wishes to all…

Howdy Paul – Must be my lucky day. I do that sometimes too. I go to a site and see a couple of posts and before you know it, you’ve done two or three posts on different threads.

Paul, the term “common sense” is a misnomer. The person who coined it had a perverse sense of humour. There really is no such thing any more. That is why we have so many money-hungry lawyers hunting for every opportunity for their stupid clients to make a fast illegitimate buck.

I was listening to a Mike Filsaime tape just the other day and he said that in the US it is no longer a matter of IF you are sued but WHEN you are sued.

I have several very dear friends in the US and they all live under this constant threat. And in Australia it is becoming more and more prevalent. We now have completely insane warnings on shirt packets warning consumers NOT to iron shirts while they are being worn. I mean… what is going on?

Thanks for your commendation of my post. I appreciate it very much.

    hey gazzman …

… like you said in the private members forum of MWA 2.0

    “I won’t waffle on here”

and any how … i haven’t got long as katie has just popped
off to grab us some pizza to chill in tonight, ( way to much sun
today and i look like a panda – where my shades have been on
    all day )

    okay …

    … dude 600 hits a day,

I’d expect nothing less from you … as you seem to be some
    content creation machine,

i haven’t a clue how you can write so much info that is

    #1 relevent

    #2 helpful

    #3 god darn funny …

    … serious,

i just checked and your the #1 person that posts in
    our private members forum,

and your a BIG help and support to our community

    thanks for the support dude,

i wish you the best with this blog – and im sure
    you’ll push past 600 hits a day ( 30 comments a day )

and take this temple to another level,

good luck … ( here to help )

  107. Gary

Thanks Alex – I appreciate the time that you have taken (out of your HONEYMOON – no less! Oh boy… you are gonna learn the “rules” pretty quick smart. Just wait… – LOL)

No probs with the support I have been trying to provide the people on the MWA2.0 forum. I do my best.

Unfortunately, the BIG percentage of people there pretty much ignore what I say (but that’s OK – they are still learning the ropes) coz they are too damn busy chasing that NEXT quick-fix solution.

Some of them have now made the reality that there is NO quick-fix solution and they are knuckling down to following a plan and a process.

The #1, 2 and 3 that you identified above is the combination that I use. Marshall Sylver also does this and look what that dude has done. Pretty awesome!

I just wish I didn’t have so many off-line issues ATM. That just side-tracks me and wastes my time.

Again, Gangsta, thanks for taking the time to come here and make those comments.

PS: Folks, if you wonder why I refer to Alex Jeffreys as Gangsta then just have a look at the “dress code” in his latest products. You can see some here on the sidebars of my blog. Now you know. LOL!

    Hi Gary,

Sorry I hadn’t seen this post before now…your site has so much info on it that it can be easy to miss some of the important stuff! So glad you had the idea to re-promote this post on Twitter today.

Re. point 6 – Credit People. I have been mentioned once or twice in your blog posts and feel honored that you have done so. But, question – has anyone you have mentioned ever been upset with your mentioning them? Just wondering, as there is so much said these days regarding the privacy act, etc. etc.

Have bookmarked this page, Gary, for future reference, and I would advise others to do so too!

It’s no surprise to me that so many people view and also comment on your blog posts. I don’t believe that it is JUST your style of writing people like, nor the fact that you offer such GREAT (and obvious!) info….

There’s no B.S. in what you say and most people can smell the truth a mile away!

Keep on keeping it real, Gary! Looking forward to your next post.

  109. Gary

Hi Jo – actually, I’m laughing at your second last sentence. Thanks. I try VERY HARD to keep hype and BS out of my posts/articles/tweets etc. Now, having said that…

… since telling the ENTIRE WORLD how I regularly get 500 and 600+ visitors a day to my blog, here is what I have received in the last 3 days…

    04 Sep 2009 370 visits (Fri)
    05 Sep 2009 261 visits (Sat)
    06 Sep 2009 355 visits (Sun)

Well, I suppose those numbers are still very good. I have been speaking to a lot of my acquaintances who have blogs and most of them are getting well under 100 visits per day.

But there you go – you (me) shoot your mouth off and look what happens!

    Murphy’s Law at work… again.

Jo, to answer your question – has anyone ever complained about me using their name on my blog? No. If they did I would remove it. But… gee… I know how PRECIOUS some people are… but… oh dear! What is this world coming to when you cannot even mention a person’s name in passing?

    Well done Gazz,
I’ve gotta hand it to you and say that your dedication is clear and decisive (what else of a martial arts master?).
Already I see 110 comments (mine makes 111,.. a favorite number of mine in fact) and that bears testimony to what you’re speaking about. A great read!

Keep it up and keep ‘em coming.
