Traffic – How to Get MORE Traffic to YOUR Website
by Gary ~ May 21st, 2010
Traffic. It’s the LIFE-BLOOD of any website.
Even the prettiest, most chock-filled-with-information website on the Internet that gets little or no traffic might as well be closed down. It’s USELESS!
Let’s think for a moment about a traditional bricks and mortar store. Why do you think the leases and rents in popular shopping malls are so high? Because THAT is where all the traffic is! Those are the locations where the highest profits will be made.
The owners of those stores pay fortunes in rental space for those prime locations.
Back to websites…
… how is YOUR website going? Are you getting plenty of traffic? What’s your Alexa Ranking? [yeah, I know – it’s only a rough guide but check out the AR of this site.]
More traffic = more sales, providing you have targeted products to sell to that traffic.

Hi Garry,
Doing the blog hopping and love what I see here. I’ve followed you on Twitter since Alex’s first course. I veered off into a campaign against an online sharketer. Every waking hour was spent campaigning to get my $15k back plus 80 other victims’ money. (I was the “guru’s nightmare” for sure)
I’m back on track now and just set up my new blog. I changed the theme and lost my analytics for 4 days. Bummer! Wondered why all my traffic wasn’t registering before I worked it out.
I can’t see much point in getting massive traffic yet, until I have more content. So I guess the best traffic for us newbies has to be generated between ourselves. Trying to conventrate now on posts. I’ll be back here soon to get more tips. Your AR is pretty darn good! How do you do it?
Cheers,
Gail

Hi Gail – Gee! You got ddded for $15,000? Wow! I got done for $3,500 about 6 or 7 years ago so now I don’t feel so bad. That experience almost destroyed my faith in the Internet. I almost gave up. But I hung in there knowing that I could do it. There are indeed sharks out there. People need to BEWARE.
Two things:
1 – Make your blog the center of your existence on the Internet
2 – Sheer hard work.
Right now my AR is 55,045 but it has been right down to around 40,000ish. It changes daily according to what I do and what other sites are doing. If all the p*rn (*) disappeared from the web then I’d probably be closer to 10,000 to 15,000.
Thanks for the visit.
Gary
PS: (*) – Even mentioning the word attracts these p*rnheads like bees to pollen. I did that once and overnight I had almost 100 p*rn comments to deal with. They are insidious.

Hi Gary, I had to visit your blog as Alex jeffreys my coach on the 3.0 series has mentioned you on more than 1 occasion! It was all positive. Anyway I like your relaxed writing style-sometimes I feel uptight and haven’t written anything in about a week-I feel the other posts out there are such good quality mine would be just a “where I am at”. I have about 2 hrs max a day and some days no time at pc-not due to laziness on my part but the circumstances I find myself in here at home. When I work though I really work as if my life depended on it! Good to communicate with you. kind regards always Orla

Hey Gary,
Stumbled onto your site. You certainly got a lot gong on.
I’m sort of like Gail…in a way.
I had a computer problem and followed some bad advice on how to correct it and ended up wiping out all my files…everything.
It’s like starting over in a way. Right now I need to get my content up where it should be before I get real heavy into the traffic generation.
Nice site,
Mike
