Internet Marketing – Copyright Thief Exposed!
by Gary ~ September 2nd, 2009
Hello,
Well today I have something very different to the positive information and encouragement that I normally post for you. Today I am going to expose copyright theft and NAME a copyright thief. Yep. This person has really PISSED me off!
This is not just an infringement against me. It’s an infringement against EVERY author who posts their articles and e-books and other written material on the Internet. It should be a BIG CONCERN for every author of unique material.
But first, the proof…
A lady (Anna) emailed me overnight telling me this…
“Dear Sir
I believe that your article The Benefit of Having a Goal Worth Failing For has been stolen by author LeeDavidhcz. Perhaps others have been stolen by this person as well.
So far, every single article I have checked out by LeeDavidhcz has been stolen.
To check these, I put quotation marks around the title of the article and then typed in LeeDavidhcz and that is how I see many hundreds of articles come up that were stolen.”
Just ONE of LeeDavidhcz‘s copyright thefts concerns this article http://ezinearticles.com/?id=72770 which I wrote on September 19, 2005. It’s called “The Benefit of Having a Goal Worth Failing For.” If you click that link and scan down the page you will see that it has been viewed 977 times and it has a 5/5 star rating. So, it’s a fairly popular article.
Now look at this: http://www.articlesjust4you.com/Article/The-Benefit-of-Having-a-Goal-Worth-Failing-For/108507 – it is an EXACT duplicate of MY article with two important exceptions:
1 – My name has been removed and the name LeeDavidhcz has been added as the author (He is NOT the author. I am and I can prove it).
2 – The “Resource Box” that every author uses to link back to their site or blog has been removed.
So… LeeDavidhcz (or the person who this represents – ie the person who actually did this) is a COPYRIGHT THIEF!
Now, before I go on, I’m just going to take a screenshot of LeeDavidhcz‘s “handiwork” – just in case it is mysteriously moved or removed and the link goes dead before I can act against LeeDavidhcz. I have also taken a print of this and I have asked several other independent people to do the same.
I’m quite sure that when Christopher Knight created www.ezinearticles.com that he did not intend for his wonderful article site to become a repository to be plundered by thieves. It is from Ezine Articles that this fraudster has taken the articles. Article theft is rampant and has been for a long time.
Why do copyright thieves like LeeDavidhcz do this? Simple. They do it for money. They surround high traffic articles with Google Adsense ads in the hope that some of the traffic will bleed off to them (thereby diluting the author’s organic traffic). Anyone clicking on one of those Adsense Ads then puts a few cents into the accounts of the LeeDavidhcz’s of this world. Essentially, they are making money through fraud.
Now, here is what I am gonna do:
1 – Inform Google about what LeeDavidhcz is doing and get his dirty little Adsense account closed. I will also follow this up with Google’s Digital Millenium Copyrighting Act litigation team. [NOTE: This has now been done - see reply below:]
“Thanks! Thank you for using our online AdSense DMCA complaint form. You should receive a confirmation email shortly. If you do not receive an email within 24 hours, please contact adsense-DMCA@google.com
2 – Inform the www.articles4you.com site owner (whoever that is) that LeeDavidhcz has breached their copyright TOS and the International Copyright Convention of Berne as set down in 1886 and accepted as the worldwide standard and the World Intellectual Property Organization Copyright Treaty.
3 – Pursue the identity behind the pseudonym LeeDavidhcz for copyright theft.
Last time I looked, copyright theft was a serious crime. LeeDavidhcz is only doing it to make money by defrauding me and, no doubt, many others.
Now, if www.articles4you.com do not ban LeeDavidhcz’s account and remove all his copyright theft then I will just move up the ISP chain to the host of www.articles4you.com. It’s easy enough to find out. And I will keep moving up the hosting chain until I get to a BIG player in the game.
So, I invite the OWNER of www.articles4you.com to come here and make a statement that he or she will act upon the “account” of LeeDavidhcz and close this thief’s account and remove all his theft from their site.
Here’s another big piece of PROOF against you LeeDavidhcz… you see, you are such a LAZY copyright thief that you didn’t even notice that the article that I wrote stated:
One of my short stories “The Power of Choice” is now in e-book format. This story has been sent from my various websites to thousands of people in dozens and dozens of countries all over the world. It has received remarkable accolades from so many people from as far as the UK to Iceland to Canada to the USA. I have pages and pages of emails from people telling me how the story affected them in such a positive manner.
Did YOU write Power of Choice too did you LeeDavidhcz? I suppose that’s why it has MY name on it and is sitting right here on MY blog.
Watch out LeeDavidhcz – YOU have committed an international crime here and I am on your case!
![]()
PS: If you manage to find your way here LeeDavidhcz then read this – http://www.google.com/dmca.html You are in BIG trouble now. Have fun spending the last of your ill-gotten Google Adsense money you FRAUD!
PS2: I have tried to find a decent contact for www.articles4you.com but so far every link I have found is dead. Maybe a PING from this blog will alert whoever owns it to come here and tell me what they intend to do about this. I have FAR better things to do with my time but I am SAVAGE about this.
Now, FINALLY – something positive in all this nastiness…

Wow Gary, they say that imitation is the highest form of flattery, but this is just downright theft & I can completely understand your rage.
I wonder if this person goes by more names than just LeeDavidhcz?
I’ll re-tweet your post on Twitter, in the hope that someone may see this & perhaps can offer you some more help in stopping this thief!

It appears to me that we have viewed the awakening of Bad Gary from his slumber! Based upon knowledge I have gained about both Good and Bad Gary from our interactions over the past year I am certain justice will prevail.
I thank you for your alert and sincerely hope you are successful in your quest. We can only hope that in his haste (as evidenced by not noticing your reference to “The Power of Choice”) to copy the work of others he also stole works of poor quality which will have a negative impact.

Gary,
This really makes me sick, but it does go on, I’ve seen blogs of similar nature where they take posts and take full credit for posting it, when all they had to add, is written by…….
I hope you get to the botom of this, if in fact LeeDavidhcz is his real name or maybe he stole that too or made it up.
Be interested to see how this follows up….he obviously didn’t check you out first before stealing it!
Cheers
Sean

ALL authors of articles should check their work to see if LeeDavidhcz has ripped them off too.
Serial copyright thief LeeDavidhcz has STOLEN the original works of hundreds of authors, removed the original author name and resource box, surrounded the articles with Google Adsense and is making money ILLEGALLY through the efforts of other authors.
His main targets are authors of motivation, self esteem, goal setting heath and others.
CHECK your articles and REPORT LeeDavidhcz to any site that he is using and DEMAND that these sites delete his accounts.
If you do a Google search of LeeDavidhcz it will return 16,100 results. That is the MASSIVE EXTENT of this person’s copyright theft and FRAUD!

(Copy of) Message for Christopher Knight (owner of Ezine Articles).
Long time, no contact Chris but I need to draw your attention to a person called LeeDavidhcz.
This person is an out-and out copyright thief of monumental proportions.
Ezine Articles has been PLUNDERED. I believe your site is his/her main source of thieving.
LeeDavidhcz has stolen 1000′s of articles (mine included), stripped the author name, resource box and claimed all these articles as his own original work.
He has 1000′s of pages of stolen articles on a VAST number of other article sites. If you put LeeDavidhcz into Google and do a search you will see the MASSIVE extent of his FRAUD. He must be making a LOT of money from Google Adsense from COPYRIGHT theft and fraud.
You can read all about this thief at my blog:
http://motivationselfesteem.com/talk/1383/internet-marketing-copyright-thief-exposed.htm
I have mentioned EzineArticles as the source of his activity. I am also posting a copy of this alert to you on my blog as further evidence against him/her.
This is the WORST case of copyright theft I have ever seen!

Wow!
What an a terrible thing to do – this guy really picked on the wrong guy!
Whats there to stop him doing the same thing posing as another username?
September 2nd, 2009 at 10:21 am
@ Ken – as you can tell I am LIVID about this.
@ Sean – LeeDavidhcz is obviously some bastardised version of a name – quite suitable for the bastard activities that he engages in. It’s not just me he has stolen from. He has stolen 10′s of 1,000′s of articles. Google lists this name 16,100 times. He obviously has a battery of hens working for him but Google will know WHO he is coz he has to have an account with them. So, effectively, he can call himself whatever he likes but there is a REAL person cashing all those checks.
@ Peter – yeah. He HAS picked on the wrong guy. This sort of thing is just getting worse and worse but… having said that this thief is the worst scraper I have ever seen.

Good on you! Unfortunately, Lee is not alone. A lot of people shamelessly rip off the article sites and are often too lazy to even remove my bio from the bottom. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to go after all those who’ve stolen from me, so I’m glad you’re nailing this one at least to the wall.
So instead, I’ve created a movement around business ethics that I hope will ripple through society to the point where the Lees of this world have no one listening and no one sending them money: http://www.business-ethics-pledge.org

Hi Gary,
Sorry to hear your work has fallen pray to one of the scumbags of the internet.
I hope he gets what’s coming to him, I bet he also doesn’t know he’s messing with a Black Belt in Zanshin Kai Karate Do. Though I’m pretty sure you would only use it self defence?
I will stay tuned to hear how this progresses.
Take care,

Nail this lowlife Gary!
September 3rd, 2009 at 1:03 am
@ Shel – I know. There are MANY copyright thieves out there but this person is the GURU of them all. The extent of the copyright theft is MASSIVE. So many authors are being ripped off – along with Google. The reason is Adsense. As usual, this is motivated by greed.
@ Glenn – Just knowing I have a growing army of supporters against this is gratifying. You can help by re-Tweeting my warnings on Twitter if you want.
@ Paul – it wouldn’t matter if I was a water-color artist or an origami specialist. This is WRONG and ILLEGAL. When good people do nothing, evil spreads.
@ Daniel – well I think Google will do that. I hope so.
Thanks for the comments Shel, Glenn, Paul & Daniel.

Hi Gary,
I have a rather new blog and put some time into my original thoughts. I have been concerned about people ‘spinning’ my writings and then claiming them. Someone out and out stealing articles should be confronted immediately. Good for you! I guess all of us o’riginal thinkers’ need to do more Google exact match searches on esoteric lines we have typed… I am almost afraid to. Keep up the good fight!
September 3rd, 2009 at 1:28 am
Brad – you could always use copyscape on your websites and blogs. But this copyright theft occurs at another level.
This copyright theft happens at the article sites. The copyright thieves scrape these sites and slam up 100′s and, in this case, 10′s of 1,000′s of stolen articles, surround them with Adsense and start making money they are unentitled to. It’s plain fraud.
Some of the article sites have got back to me. They KNOW this person’s identity. They are closing his accounts and removing his scam. Google will sort this person out. Do you think their lawyers will be happy with him?

Just thought I would drop by and submit a quick note to let you know that I removed 16 articles from my article directory after being informed of Lee Davidhcz’s exploits. He actually signed up under the name David Lee and used LeeDavidhcz as one of his 3 pennames.
This was anonymously brought to my attention by someone by the name of Anna Le. The following is my response to her:
“Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have hunted down LeeDavidhcz and removed his articles and membership from my directory. He signed up under the name of David Lee and used “LeeDavidhcz as a penname.
Copyright infringement is a despicable practice. As an article directory owner, I believe that it undermines the hard fought reputation of good websites. As an editor, I read, approve or delete articles…I unfortunately cannot sense an author’s deception or intentions when I read their submissions….They are just words on a computer screen. The article is either great, good, passable or worthy of the trash bin.
Once again, thank you for informing me about this individual. Unfortunately, I fear he won’t be the last.”
September 3rd, 2009 at 4:42 am
Hi Emmanuel – thank you for that action. You have done the correct (and lawful) thing by deleting this scumbag from your database.
No doubt you have “contacts” within your article directory group. If you could warn other article bases of this person then that will help to get rid of him. He is getting an unfair advantage over you now by virtue of his stolen articles filling out the size and “attraction” of the other sites.
All article sites must delete him and his stolen copyright.

Shaking my head. I feel for you and all the others. First the FTC in the US going after bogus testimonials, and now this. Rules, laws and etiquette dictate you’ve got to give the author credit and provide source and a link for that content. Don’t they?

Hi Gary,
Terrible thing for you and all the original authors. This guy will get caught. But things like this will happen again until there’s a system that will catch thieves like this at the very beginning.
To Emmanuel I would say thank you but please learn from Ezine Articles. I don’t know how they do it but I submitted my own article to them and since that article has already appeared on someone else’s site they somehow knew it. I guess they have a way of checking it against the internet.
Somebody borrowed that article which I previously submitted to BNET with the author: Authored By HeathyDietWeightLoss.org. The people that used my article at least left that in – an easy proof that I was the original author. All my links were removed though.
My point is that if Ezine can check this way, regardless of whether any links are in or not, perhaps all article sites could be doing this. It may not be perfect but it would make life for article thieves harder.
Gary please keep us posted on further developments.
Vance.

Hey Gazza!
I’m sure you’ll catch this lowlife, and get things done!
Nasty crap that happens from lowlifes. Unfortunate, but great that you found out about it and took action!
I’ll be keeping an eye out, and let you know of anything I can help with other than what many have already done to help you.
Cheers!
Paul
September 3rd, 2009 at 10:38 am
@ Vance – you make a good point about Ezine Articles but they are the biggest article repository and have been around a LONG time. No doubt they have invested in the technology that enables them to weed out suspect claims. Some of the smaller article sites probably can’t do that yet.
However, when the Big G applies the big SLAP to this thief I think we will see the end of his reign of illegal activity. BTW, I just had some information come to me that this identity is one of four known aliases that this guy uses.
@ Paul – thanks for the support on this ethical stance I have taken against this guy.
I know that a LOT of people are watching what is unfolding here.

You must take legal action or nothing will change.
If you just get his accounts banned. This is what will happen.
He’ll have his adsense/article accounts closed – which are easy
to get new ones. He will just create a new accounts and
repost it under a different user name.
Good Luck.
September 3rd, 2009 at 1:29 pm
Brad – I think you are right. People like this rarely learn the error of their ways unless they get penalised big time.
Gary
September 3rd, 2009 at 2:33 pm
Legal action won’t change anything either, and you’ll just be wasting fiscal resources. Bringing this to light was an ill advised move on your behalf Gary, now your just begging for others to copy your work, because your scathing post (while, completely warranted) may come across to others as whiny or tattle-tellish and so now people are really going to give you something to be pissed off about, if you thought one person doing this to you was bad enough, try 100 or 1,000 or 10,000 people recycling your work, only because you took the complete wrong approach to out the person in question.
You should have kept this to yourself, and opt NOT to post a message about it and handle the situation under the radar, sometimes our emotions takes over and we don’t fully think things out all we see is red and our natural response is “crucify the f’er” in this particular situation you should have just kept the breech of copyright to yourself, and handled it without drawing attention to it because remember (and I made this argument on Twitter already) rather you like it or not “technology trumps legislation and law each and every time…”
This isn’t to say I am condoning what has happened to you, I think is deplorable but I do think you should be called out on the carpet as to the handling of the situation.

Hi – I’m the person who first came across the plagiarisms involved here.
At first, when I discovered all these articles by LeeDavidhcz, I was really excited to find so many excellent articles on self improvement in one place, by one author. I started to read all of them, and then I started to notice some strange discrepancies.
From one article to the next, there were too many inconsistencies about this person’s life. In one article he put down people who wrote written goals, and in many other articles, he said people needed to write down written goals.
I think in one article he claimed he had been in the Air Force, but in other articles he claimed to have different professions.
I thought, it can’t be just one person doing all this. There’s too many things that don’t add up if you read all his articles at the same time.
Then I started checking in Google, each article title, one at a time, with quotation marks around it, and with the word ezinearticles in the same line. I discovered that every single article title submitted by LeeDavidhcz actually had a different author at the ezinearticles site.
I started to contact some of these authors to ask them – Is this your article or did LeeDavidhcz really write it.
Fortunately, one of the people I contacted early on was Gary, who jumped all over this case. I’m really stunned by his quick response, and I certainly hope this person gets what is coming to him, and not just a slap on the wrist.
Otherwise, the whole idea of copyright doesn’t really mean anything.
Thanks Gary!
Anna

Hi Gary:
Just thought I’d stop by to say, “Hello”, and BAM, hit with this firestorm…
Being a lover of words and the process of the creation of a penning a piece, it’s so sad when I hear of such %$@@!!**.
We work so very hard to try and lend our unique voice and thus carve out our own space in this vast ocean of digital information and entertainment on the Web. And you have succeeded wonderfully, only to have vermin crawl out of the dark crevices and rape your body of work.
But you, by no means, are a shrinking violet, and he (they) have this time, chosen the wrong author with to cross swords.
Go to your War Room my friend, and gaze upon your vast steel arsenal, grasp your weapon of choice, and unleash upon your enemy a torrent of fury, such as the WWW has never known.
Fight the good fight. It’s time for a SMACKDOWN!
(You know) if I can be of any assistance, I’m only an email away…
Ready for my marching orders,
Denis

Hi Gary
I can hardly believe that someone can be as blatant as this in stealing from people, but he has definitely chosen the wrong person to try this on. I really hope that you get him shut down, thrown out and massively penalised financially.
I haven’t had articles on directories, but my first chapter in an ebook on allowances is due to go live in the next wek or so. I just hope that my chpter and those of the other 20 or so contributors is not stolen!
At least you have made me and others who read your blog aware of the massive scale of theft that does go on. Let’s hope that this goes some way towards putting other potential thieves off doing the same.
I’ll RT on Twitter as well.

@ Bill – let’s ALL sneak around and steal each other’s work and then privately complain to each other about how bad things are.
Copyright theft is an international crime. There are very strong laws in place to deal with it. I’m not the only victim here – there are 100′s, possibly 1,000′s of victims.
This is copyright theft on a monumental scale. What has been exposed so far is probably only the tip of the iceberg.
Somebody has to have the OO’s to speak out. The reason that the world is in such dire circumstances is because too many people are too frightened to face the enemy and make a stand. When good people do nothing, evil spreads.
You deal with it your way Bill. I’ll deal with it my way.
Thanks for your alternate approach.
Gary
PS: Bill, I was looking forward to visiting your blog or website to learn more about you and why you hold such an opinion but I note, with some disappointment, that you either don’t have one, have declined to provide it or just forgot to include it. Bummer.

@ Anna – I too was gob-smacked by the blatant level of fraud that this person has committed. He could be the biggest copyright thief of all time. Like I said to Bill above – this is probably only the tip of the iceberg. I am informed that this person has several other known identities. NO doubt to conceal his true identity because he KNOWS that what he is doing is wrong.
What you said here is the pivot of everything:
We may as well just steal anything we want. Some people, like this cretin, already do. But what if it was open slather on everyone and everything. Law of the jungle – only the biggest predators survive. All the other jungle creatures have to run away and hide.
This is precisely why film producers, musicians and authors are so protective of their work. Just imagine:
Titanic – written and directed by LeeDavidhcz.
In the Ghetto – written and sung by LeeDavidhcz
Gone With the Wind – written by LeeDavidhcz
Gypsies Tramps and Thieves – written and sung by LeeDavidhcz
War and Peace – written by LeeDavidhcz
I Fought the Law and the Law Won – written and SUNG by… YEP… good old LeeDavidhcz.
Thanks again Anna.

Thanks D-man!

September 4th, 2009 at 12:30 am
@ Hilary – thanks for posting your comments Hilary. I’d like to quote two things you said:
DON’T hold your breath with people like LeeDavidhcz around.
Yes, and despite what Bill says above that is EXACTLY why I have done it – to make people aware that they probably already are being ripped off and other people are making money from their hard work.
If nobody speaks out then how does anybody find out? “Sneaking under the radar,” so to speak, is how people like LeeDavidhcz operate. If nobody says anything for fear of retribution then the “LeeDavidhcz’s” of this world just continue to get bigger and bolder. They need to be crushed.
This matter is central to the very core of the Internet. If authors are concerned that their original work will be ripped off then, quite simply, they will not share it and the world will be a much poorer place educationally for that.

@ Tommy – this guy just reeks of NO CLASS. To resort to doing what he has done on such a massive scale is a calculated, pre-meditated attack on all his victims and the BIG middle finger to ©

Hey Gary,
Thanks for blowing such a big whistle!
It never ceases to amaze me to what extent some people will go in the pursuit of a profit. I am glad that at least in this case the culprit was exposed.
I also support your stance of standing and fighting rather than keeping silent and hoping!
The ironic thing here is that if traffic was what he was after by posting all of those articles on his site, he could have left the bio boxes intact and still had the traffic.
Thanks for fighting the good fight.
All the best to you,
Byron

@Bill Your same reasoning and arguments is why so many rapes go unreported, why so much fraud not only goes unreported but unpunished.
If your daughter or friend was raped, would you advise them not to report it, for fear that other rapists will think she was an easy target?
If you yourself was mugged or your house was robbed, would you decide not to report it, lest other muggers or robbers think you are being “whiny” and tattle-tellish?
Somehow, I rather doubt it.
Corporate fraud costs businesses millions and millions of dollars a year, and that is only the cases that are reported. There is a LOT of fraud where the businesses decided NOT to press charges. And why? They don’t want the bad publicity. So what happens? The perpetrator gets off scot-free and goes on to the next business and rips them off – usually for more money.
If they had simply prosecuted, it would go on his record and any company that hires him failed to do due diligence and in some ways, invited him into rob them.
Copyright infringement is much the same. I don’t agree with the tactics used by the RIAA, but I do very much agree with the principal of standing up for what’s yours and fighting for your rights.
The idea of fighting for your rights is one of the core philosophies that the US was based off of. It’s the whole reason this country exists in the first place.
If you want to roll over and play dead and pretend that nothing is wrong, that is your choice and your right. But you are doing yourself, and the rest of us a grave disservice, and if that is the course of action you want to take, then as far as I am concerned you don’t even deserve to be acknowledged, let alone respected or read.
Others may not feel the same as me, and I am NOT in any way saying you should be attacked – on a personal or any other level, and I am not intending my comments as an attack on you in any way.
Your response, and your condemnation of Gary, really truly sickens me as an author and even more so as an auditor.
Gary,
I’ve tweeted your article a few times today, and am drafting an article about this on my site. This will be linking to yours. Not had a chance to get that other WHOIS info, but I will as soon as I can.
September 4th, 2009 at 3:00 am
My pleasure Byron. Some things are just BLATANTLY WRONG – and this is one of them.
If you keep silent and hope then these types of people just grow ever bolder in their middle finger salute at standards and acceptable behavior. Across the world we are seeing a lowering of all standards and a huge increase in UNacceptable behavior. The reason is that NOBODY makes a stand.
Yes Byron – you are 100% correct. He didn’t have to POSE as the author. That was just an IDIOTIC thing for him to do. But I know WHY he did it. He wasn’t happy with the authors’ resource links because people would have followed the authors. The only escape he was allowing visitors was for people to X out of his theft pages or to click on his Google Adsense links. His motive in doing this was PURE GREED.

Hi Bob – Back again. I have to say I LIKE your way of thinking. There are consequences for actions. Oh, I know Bill will probably say that I will have consequences for my actions in outing this thief. So be it. I am on the side of the law. LeeDavidhcz is operating outside the law – wantonly, willingly and on a grand scale.
Bob, your examples of rape and robbery are sound.
I think there will be two camps here – authors and non-authors.
The authors will side with me and the non-authors will probably think that this guy was just a naughty boy and that he should just have his accounts closed down. If he goes unpunished then Bill will probably be correct. Others will follow.
I know Bill is NOT condoning what this guy did. He is simply being critical of the way I am handling this. But that’s my choice and Bill is entitled to his opinion.
Bob, when you get your article in place please feel free to come here and give us the link. And Bill, if you want, you are also welcome to say more and, if you wish, provide a link to your own website.

Gary,
I am glad you are not letting this thief get away with it! How can I help? I did read this. I did RT on twitter.
David
September 4th, 2009 at 3:41 am
Hi David – I appreciate your support and the RT’s you have done on Twitter.
There are times to retreat and there are times to stand our ground and there are times to charge headlong against the enemy. I believe that this is the latter. How can we, as authors, just turn a blind eye to this? I just can’t. It’s WRONG and I must do this to correct this disturbance to law and order.

Hey Garry,
Sorry to hear about the news. I think you are right by going after and stopping this guy but the worst part is he is wasting your time.
I know you have better things to do but I guess now this gets bumped to a (A).
Anyway if there is something I can do to help please let me know…
I will also RT as well.

Gary,
I’m announcing it here first. My article on this matter was just published seconds ago on my site.

Comments are welcome, and I hope this helps.
September 4th, 2009 at 4:16 am
@ Alvin – Yes, it IS a monumental waste of my precious time but I can’t ignore this or let him get away with it. Thanks for joining in against this guy. I appreciate every RT that people make on Twitter to allow others to see what he has done.
People power will defeat him. And then, I believe, Google will crap all over him. And then he will have a bit more to think about when other things start happening for him.
@ Bob – I get a SCOOP! I’ll be right over.
Thanks for the input guys.

I thought, for the sake of completeness that I would post this. I have removed the identifiers from the email.
September 4th, 2009 at 1:53 pm
Hi Gary,
I thought I would drop by today to visit your blog and my word… was I stunned to find out what had happened, and that such a person would dare to plagiarize your work and claim it was there. Not only that, they didn’t even have the decency to actually quote or state who or where the article, original idea or source came from.
I also like to state that I think your current approach is correct in terms of, if somebody is violating or has breached rules, regulation, codes of conduct or practices which has been placed to protect the good of others, then surely they must be reported and be dealt with accordingly, no matter or whatever position they may be in society.
After all it’s like sitting on the farmer’s fence and then suddenly one day, one decides to step over the line and walk across his field without the farmer’s position. Obviously, the former action will be okay, but the latter action will most certainly result in some serious action.
It is a shame that despite major advances and breakthroughs in society and technology, that there are still individuals and possibly organizations out there, who… due to greed, lust, and competitive nature spoil what could be a harmonious world.
Where everyone can share the life cards that they have been individually dealt with and combine them together to form a complete pack, and fully enjoy and reap what life has to offer.
Anyway take care and all the best
Nigel
PS: Thanks Gary for letting us know and I although wish no harm to anyone, I do hope that the person who is committing the plagiarizing act, have some sense soon, and to reflect what he/she has done and to step back on the correct path to success by not committing such an unethical practice again.
Speak soon – got to get back to my ebook.
September 4th, 2009 at 2:29 pm
We are in the process of removing this person’s articles from our articles site following an e-mail from someone who pointed us in this direction.
September 4th, 2009 at 2:34 pm
@ Nigel – Hello. Been quite a while since I’ve seen you here. Hope all is well.
This guy has brought whatever he cops upon himself. He chose to take this illegal action and he performed his deeds over and over and over again. He has stolen 1,000′s of articles and claimed that he is the author.
If you go to Bob’s blog (refer above), I have calculated an estimate of what LeeDavidhcz has done and the revenue he is jacking out of it. Here’s the link:
http://bit.ly/AfwOG
I expect Google will be none-too-pleased with LeeDavidhcz or any of his other aliases. I doubt whether any of them will be his REAL name anyway but Google will know. He has to have an account to collect his ill-gotten Adsense money. And Google will be livid with him over what he has done.
With reference to your PS – I would expect that this person will probably never mend his ways. If he isn’t punished severely he will simply do what Bill said above and find another way to con and thieve. Unfortunately, that is how individuals like this are programmed.
Thanks for stopping by Nigel.
Gary

@ Julie – Thank you. That is the responsible thing to do. When Google slap this guy I don’t want any innocent parties to be caught up in the collateral damage.
Best to dump this guy and all his false trash now before the sh*t really hits the fan.
Thanks for telling everyone that http://www.NewArticleDaily.com is a responsible site.

Hi Gary,
Wow, looks like you’ve taken the right action and very effectively too.
I think you’ve handled this pretty well – tough, but with a clear head.
I would suggest you now get back focused on what you do best and get the bad vibes of this guy’s lazy work ethic out of your mind, if possible.
Good on ya!

Ahh Robbie – My guitar playing, singing friend from the Big T! Nice to see you. Yeah, you are right. I should move on soon. I have a poultice of other FAR MORE positive things to do rather than dwelling on this jerk. He set his own destiny with what he has done. I hope they don’t give him a computer inside.
Thanks for twangin’ in.

Hi Garry ,I don’t go along with the people who say you should ignore it
and that its stopping you from your other work.
I am sure glad your exposing the rat ,
it might help to smoke him out.
Also it might be taking up your time but people should be made aware that rats like him are about , thanks for letting me know Garry , you have my full support and access to my rat poison cupboard although i don’t think you will need it as the law of Karma will prevail.
Mick.
September 5th, 2009 at 12:46 am
@ Mick – thanks for saying that. I think everyone is appalled at the activities of this person. The sheer size of his fraud is unbelievable. He must have some sort of software to do it or an army of low-paid workers (more likely).
Rat poison cupboard – LOL! There may be a few rats crawling across the floor of where this guy should end up.

Just checking back in, wanted to see if anything new had cropped up.
I’m very pleased to see that article sites are taking him down.
Let us know if you hear anything back from Google. Hopefully this guy can be tracked down and prosecuted for fraud and copyright violations!

@ Bob – Yes, some of the article sites have removed him from their data base. That is gratifying. They have obviously checked him out and he doesn’t check out!
@ Glenn – not sure what has happened here but this post looks the same as the one you added here on 2nd September.

Hey Gary,
RE earlier comment : Yes thing are going quite well in the positive direction – managed to get myself back on track with a proper plan and currently have numerous ebooks planned for over the coming year which I will give away for FREE.
So things are going to become quite active. The dormant stalled engine is now back up and running, with one major difference compared to last year.
Rather than going from first gear to fifth gear, I’m going to work through each gears one by one.
Anyway, best wishes and regards
Nigel

@ Nigel – sounds like a good plan. People who have a plan usually succeed – sooner or later.

September 15th, 2009 at 2:46 pm
Gary,
Any updates from Google on this?
It looks like a few more articles sites have taken him down, which is certainly good to hear.
September 16th, 2009 at 11:32 am
Hi Gary,
Good luck sorting this out.
The guy who said you should keep quiet about this obviously doesn’t know you at all. Being quite is not something you do!
Ezine Articles do have an automatic duplicate content checker and if they find a similar article they check the authors name and freeze your account and query it with you if it doesnt match. This happened to me once when I changed a PLR article. Now if I use PLR at all I use a duplicate content checker and make sure it shows 0% duplication.
I know people’s paid ebooks are given on dodgy sites sometimes and it’s not easy to sort out, but this is a much bigger case so I’m sure you’ll get results.
Thanks
Keith
September 17th, 2009 at 12:29 am
@ Bob – yes but obviously this person is still adding more stolen content because the count went from 16,100 entries for the name on Google when it was observed, a few days later it went down to 15,800 and today it is back to 15,900. It’s gonna be interesting to see what Google does. The much vaunted, often feared Google slap may be a mere brush with a wet lettuce leaf. We shall see.
@ Keith – it would be very nice if everybody played by the rules of the game, wouldn’t it? But there are always some who don’t think that all the rules that others abide by even apply to them.
I think the entire premise of PLR has given rise to this sort of thing. In theory, it was probably a good idea for struggling writers to get started but too many people are too lazy, or just don’t care or don’t have any pride. I can detect PLR so easily. In 99% of the cases it is shoddy rubbish that makes virtually no sense. I’d be utterly ashamed to put my name on any of it.

Hello Gary,
First let me say that I am sorry it took me so long to resolve this issue with the postings in my article site. I fully agree with everyone when it comes to plagiarism.
I am a small isp from design and development to internet marketing – and let me add that I am a one man show
.
ArticlesJust4You.com among many other sites I have is very hard for me to keep maintained. I wish I could run checks against copyscape on each post and pursue questioning if i get a hit…
But I am left with auto approving thousands once per week, then going back and do a database query searching for adult content, words, phrases etc to delete the crap some idiots post.
I’m sorry this happened and i did go delete all posts from this author.
Take care!
Richard

Hi Sir,
I came across your website today and this discussion and it really bothered me. It bothered me so that I’ve not even gotten read what I came here for: Motivation and Self Esteem… What I did was google enom inc. + David Lee and found the below pasted URL.
I don’t know if this is the same person/criminal but it seems very possible indeed. This sort of crime absolutely should be taken seriously and as you can read Cartier got their legal team to take action against one David Lee associated with the above mentioned Enom Inc.
I am also a writer, unfortunately I have never been wise enough use the internet as a means to making a living – what I mean to say is that I wouldn’t where to begin… I’m pretty ignorant as to how it all works. In any case I write for a print – they now place my articles in their online edition (as is their right and property). Now I see my articles all over the place on blogs and other web sites. I should say they do leave my name as the author, but never mention the newspaper that who’s property it is. I get paid very little for those articles and I write them for one newspaper and suddenly they are syndicated all over the place. The newspaper is not bothered by it at all – while I’m am a huge advocate for collaboration as pertains to the betterment of society – It very much bothers me. Recently a friend sent me a link to a blog where the blogger was publishing my articles as his own and that angered me – in that case the paper took action. Anyway I’m rambling about myself sorry! I am so sorry this person STOLE your work. Perhaps WIPO can be of help. All the best to you and I now look forward to checking out your site.

Hi Gary,
I am glad that you written a post about copyright theft, as this has just happened to me.
This website http://vandexter.com/seo/why-focus-and-determination-are-keys-to-success-online has stolen my just published article
and they haven’t responded to my complaint.
Funny thing though, the guy is in the same coaching class as me?
Well a product banner gives that away.
