Glad to read you were interacting personally with Alex in Las Vegas.
Were you hypnotised too??
It would have been great to see you acting the goat ;~)
I agree though the Newbies Nightmare is fair dinkum if that’s how you marsupials spell it.

Hey Gary,
Have you caught up on your sleep yet. Vegas is quite the place, I know, I’ve been there twice but never for a seminar like you just went to. I went just for fun and if you don’t have fun in Vegas there’s something wrong with you.
I got Newbies Nightmare after I talked to you yesterday. It took me longer than 20 minutes to read it though as I was half asleep and basically read it with one eye open. When ever Alex writes something I’m going to read it no matter what time it is or how tired I am.
It’s great stuff isn’t it. But you and I both have come to expect this sort of thing from Alex as we both went through his coaching program.
I’m just going to repeat what you already said here and that’s if you plan on being successful in this business you need to get yourself a mentor. It took me awhile to find the right one for me but Alex is the guy.
For those of you that have come here and still don’t have a mentor I will personally recommend Alex Jeffreys to you. This is very easy for me to say when I look back to what I was doing before I met Alex and compare it to what I am doing since I met him.
Gary, hopefully I can get to meet you next year in Vegas or anywhere else for that matter.

@ Stephen, ha! Braysie, I LOVE your sense of humor. NO! I wasn’t hypnotised. I’m like this ALL the time – LOL!
Next Alex Jeffreys crew get-together… you’d better be there!
Gary
June 22nd, 2009 at 1:16 am
@ Jeff – yes. DEFO! I wanna meet you too. Like Stephen Bray (above) there are so many Alex Jeffreys students that I have been interacting with who I REALLY want to meet and you are another one.
I really want to meet Thom Swartwood too, as we have a common interest outside Internet Marketing.
It was wonderful being able to put faces to names over there in Las Vegas. However, as a venue, I think Las Vegas lacks. It’s way too noisy and busy. Then again, maybe I am getting too old – even though I was approached by no less than 8 hookers on the walkways between the casinos – LOL! (BTW, I declined them all!)
Let’s hope that the next get-together is even bigger and better than the one just gone.
People… get in on the Alex Jeffreys coaching course. Apart from the coaching you will meet FABULOUS people. You can read my first summary of the Las Vegas seminars in the previous blog post to this. There will be more info and videos etc coming just as soon as I see my way clear of all this “external” work I have to do.
Gary
June 22nd, 2009 at 3:56 pm
Hey Gary,
So you say you were approached by no less than 8 hookers. Are you sure you didn’t approach them. haha!
BTW, us old guys got to stick together.
I’m looking into getting Skype. It says Skype-to-Skype calls are free to anywhere in the world and at any time, day or night, morning or weekends. I thought it still cost money to call other countries just not as much as a regular phone call. If it’s totally free that’s fantastic.
I think you have Skype, don’t ask me how I know that. I must have heard you mention it somewhere. I have to figure out which plan I want and when I get it I’ll let you know and maybe we can chat.

June 23rd, 2009 at 5:12 am
@ Jeff – NO! I swear, I was approached by THEM! Maybe I looked like a “lonely boy” or a desperado – LOL!
They hang around the connecting corridors near the travellators. Because most of the crew were staying at the New York New York Casino and I was staying at the Luxor I had a lot of walking to do – often late at night (er, after a few bevies). It’s a long and arduous walk with the Excalibur Casino in between and there are so many corridors and bridges and stairs and turns to negotiate. But I’d done it a couple of years ago and I knew the route (note correct spelling there – PMSL!)
I stayed at the Luxor for two reasons:
1 – I’d stayed there before and really liked it
2 – I wanted the exercise
Anyway, one evening I waiting at the elevators of the New York, New York for Nikki Stephens and Paula Brett when these two “ladies of the night” came up to me with an “offer.” Now, to appreciate this you gotta know that they were NOT particularly attractive (though after more and more alcohol I guess they could “improve”), dressed like trolls and had chests like surfboards. Here’s how it went…
Pro: “Hi honey, watcha doin?”
Me: (not wanting to be rude but completely disinterested): “Waiting for friends.”
Pro: “Are ya feelin lonely?”
Me: “No.”
Pro: “Want some company?”
Me: “No thanks.”
Pro: “So, who are your friends?”
Me: “Just friends.”
Pro: “Wanna make some new friends?”
Me: “Thanks but no thanks. I really am waiting for friends.”
Pro: “We can make you feel nice.”
Me: “Yeah, I’m sure you can but seriously ladies I’m not interested.”
Pro: “Well you don’t know till you try You can have two of us for the price of one.”
Me: “Sorry but I’m waiting for my friends.”
Just about then the bell rang for the elevator and out stepped Nikki and Paula all dolled up and looking spectacular. They made a beeline for me and I held my arms out like wings and Nix and Pauls grabbed an arm each.
Well! You should have seen the LOOKS on these women’s faces. It was bloody priceless! Especially given the fact that Nikki and Paula are both extremely “well put together” (if you get my drift – if not, check out the many photos and you will soon understand what I mean – you can see some on the previous post.)
Anyway, I explained what had happened to Nix and Pauls and we all had a great laugh. Then I escorted both of them across the Casino floor to our favorite haunt – the bar of the New York New York Casino opposite the Registration Desk where we met up with Parkesy and Briffs and Deano and Alex and a bunch of others.
Honestly Jeff, it was so freaking funny. I must’ve looked like the Chief Pimp of all pimps (no offence Nix & Pauls) – but it was priceless watching the faces of those two. Needless to say they disappeared REAL QUICK!
They were 2 of the 8. I actually asked some of the other guys if they were getting hit on and I can’t remember any of them copping the attention I did. But then, I was doing a lot of traversing between Casinos and late – at the time when they all prowl. Plus, I am very aware of my surroundings and who is loitering or taking undue notice. It’s part of my training (ask Nix and Pauls about my seat preferences etc – I just gotta have certain seats so I can monitor who is where and what may be heading our way)
Regarding Skype – Yep it is totally free country to country but it costs to do conference calls and to call cell phones. It really chomps away when you call a cell phone – DON’T DO IT! Oh, and from memory, I think they make you chuck $10 on their account and it starts chewing that away if you do what I said.
Yeah, we can chat if you want just Twitter me or DM or email me and I’ll give you my Skype addy.
Catch ya Jeff.

I’ve been described in many ways before, but I don’t think anyone has ever used the terminology “well put together”.
Still, that’s all part of the fun. It was rather amusing though seeing their faces when Paula (hey darls!) and I were either side of you – think they realised that they had been well & truly beaten!!
Honestly, we had such fun in Las Vegas…roll on the next Alex Jeffreys seminar out there (or whereever!)

Gary, I don’t think the other guys are getting hit on because they are so young. I think these ladies of the night are probably looking for a father figure so they are turning to you. LOL!
Not a good idea for you or anyone to be walking around by themselves at that time of night. I do realize that you can take care of yourself but there are some pretty crazy people out there. Be careful.

Jeff, you’ve seen the pics of Pimp TGM on the sofa with us all…perhaps the girls of the night were looking for someone to be their potential sugar daddy or something like that…or maybe they’d heard about the Chair of Big Pimping from the seminar…
…however, Paula & I soon scared them off – we made quite a striking team!

It’s been HIJACKED! (Incidentally, NEVER say that on a plane – especially if you know Jack)
@ Jeff – Thanks for the warning but my radar was well and truly turned on in Vegas. I can literally “smell” danger. Also, what was that “father figure” BS? Check out the many videos floating around – who was the biggest kid?
@ WPT Pauls (HRH of Tiaraland) – well ya gotta admit Pauls – when was the last time you could look down and see your feet? 12? 13 maybe? Deary me!
@ VWPT Nix – Yes you two made a very “visibly striking” team!

The “WPT twins” have certainly run rough-shod over my

As for Las Vegas, I’d be more than happy to try a new venue next time. Vegas is exciting but it is depressing at the same time with all the homelessness and those shoving money into those ridiculous poker machines. I find that pretty sad – oh, and the MASSIVE prostitution that goes on – none of which I contributed to I might ADD! LOL!

I’ve heard that Alex Jeffreys is launching a new Coaching Program this week but it will be very expensive?
Why would you recommend Alex as a coach rather than other people like Michael Cheney, or Rich Schefren?
Been following Alex for a while now and enjoyed ‘The Gurus Dream’.
Have you made any money since you did Alex’s Coaching.
Will I get my money back if I sign up.
Amy?
June 28th, 2009 at 11:56 pm
@ Trees – Hi Theresa, better late than never darls. Yep Garry Parkes is now the Operations Manager for Alex so I would expect a MASSIVE improvement in the overall running of the program. Parkesy is very knowledgeable and a good operator.
BTW – I still owe you that testimonial for finding those keywords. I’ll do it Trees – just had a few problems over here lately.
Regards
Gary
PS: Anybody wanting a nice list of keywords should visit http://www.keywordangel.com
June 29th, 2009 at 12:17 am
@ Amy – Yes the Newbies’ Nightmare was launched this week.
Unfortunately I have no experience with Michael Cheney or Rich Scheffren so I cannot make a comparison. However, I know people who have undertaken the Rich Scheffren courses and they speak highly of him and his material. I don’t know anybody who has an association with Michael Cheney except, of course, Alex himself.
Regarding Alex’s coaching this blog has a MASSIVE amount of information all over it – you may read as much as you want, all it will take is your time.
To answer your other questions:
Yes I have made money since Alex’s coaching but I was also making money before the coaching.
I understand you will get your money back if you are not satisfied.
I am also aware that you have asked the same questions at Garry Parkes‘ blog and since he is Alex’s new Operations Manager then I am sure that he will answer your questions there too. Garry is a very honest guy so whatever he tells you will be the truth.
I hope my reply has been helpful to you.

“Gingerbread thoughts” – LOL – they were so YUMMY in Las Vegas. I saw a LOT of people munching on them despite the fact that Lance said he didn’t get any – poor Lance!
Actually, I just had an idea…

July 7th, 2009 at 5:02 am
Hey Gary,
I just had my first coaching session with Alex. He really is a great guy! I couldn’t believe that he went for 2 1/2 hours answering people’s questions. I definitely think I will get a lot out of his class!
July 7th, 2009 at 7:06 am
@ Marcus – OMG. You have seen me acting like a goose in the Las Vegas videos huh? Well, that’s just blown my credibility. They say that a person’s initial introduction to somebody is the most lasting one.
Marcus, you say:
Er… how long have you been involved in Internet Marketing? Patience. Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither will be your IM empire.
You need to keep your mindset positive. Hmm… I wasn’t gonna mention this just yet but… I am putting the finishing touches on a brand new e-book about that very subject – MINDSET. It’s odd coz everywhere I have been lately that seems to be a word that people are using a LOT! Then again, maybe I am just more aware of it (like Alex Jeffreys said when he spoke on that video about his fiancee Katie being pregnant).
Anyway Marcus, thanks for stopping by. Have a look around here. There are lots of resources for you to use.
Regards
Gary
July 7th, 2009 at 7:16 am
@ Matt – you guys got off lightly. One of the Round 1 coaching sessions went for 7.5 hours!
I got up at 5.00am to attend that webinar this morning and I had already heard most of it before. Now, I WONDER how many people missed it either because it was a bit too late or a bit too early for them? Lots of people, I’ll bet. These will be among the first to say that none of it works and want to demand their money back.
As I said over at the Members’ Forum – you just gotta do what you gotta do – or words to that effect.
Matt one of the great benefits that you Round 2 guys will have are all the Round 1 attendees. Plus you have a great helper in Garry Parkes who is now Alex’s Operations Manager. Parkesy is very knowledgeable and an all round nice guy. He had to be to put up with my shenanigans over in Las Vegas. See if he will tell you about the “incident” in the rest room at the MGM Casino. I’ll bet he will try to reverse that around onto me.
Thanks for coming over to the… TEMPLE!

Hey Gary,
I’m one of the fortunate students that are in Alex’s current coaching program and so far so great! I’ve been running into walls with each online money making idea or scheme that I tried and am so happy I found him. It looks like you’re doing great here, so I’m excited to have the similar amount of success!
PS- “The Power of Choice” was a very touching book that struck a chord with me. It is now one of the leading motivators to get myself off the ground in an internet business and many other elements of life.
Thanks again, and talk to you soon!

Howdy Joe – Yep. The Internet Marketing railway track is full of train crashes. I’ve been involved in a lot of them myself – LOL!
One of the biggest things you need to tackle is self-belief then there’s information overload, distraction etc. It seems as though every 5 minutes somebody is pushing the latest super-duper gizmo under your nose.
Hey! So glad you liked the Power of Choice. I was so happy with that story. In fact, I can hardly believe that I wrote the darn thing. Like you say it is very motivational. I just wish EVERYONE would read it – but most people “don’t have time” or can’t be bothered.
Thanks for telling me how much you enjoyed it. I do appreciate it.

Such an interesting blog all round, I found myself getting so involved with reading everything I was extremely late having my dinner!
