The Secret – Why It Only Tells You HALF the Secret!
by Gary ~ May 23rd, 2009
The Secret is a phenomenal book and video created by Rhonda Byrne featuring some of the best motivators and authors today. I speak of people such as Bob Proctor, Dr Denis Waitley, Dr John Gray and Jack Canfield to name just a few who feature strongly in “The Secret.” All are world famous motivational speakers and authors in their own rights.
So, what EXACTLY is “The Secret” all about?
The “secret” – which is really NO secret at all – is that in order for something to manifest itself in your life you FIRST have to “attract” it by thought.
Henry Ford said:
“Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right.”
But… is it enough just to THINK positive, empowering thoughts? Will that alone assure your success? I think NOT and here is why…
Feel free to add your thoughts below and don’t forget to get a free ACTION Planner for yourself. Using it will really help you to bring all your plans and goals to reality.
Here’s just one comment that I have received – Ryan Price said to me on Twitter:
RyanSPrice@TheGazzMan Been using your action planner http://tinyurl.com/d955vj Thanks to you Gary Im on my way to a super productive month!!!

Thanks Ryan! Glad to know it is helping you achieve your goals. I love getting feedback like that.

Gary,
I totally agree that having a positive attitude is ,as you put it , only half of the equation. A favorite saying of mine expresses this very well….. “all things cometh to he who waits so long as he worketh like hell while he waits”.
Another great post and offer for a very useful tool!

Hi Ken – thanks for being so quick off the mark with a reply. I definitely LIKE that saying of yours!
Here is one in the same vein that I also really like:
Thanks for the kudos on my ACTION Planner. I’ve had so many positive comments about it I have lost count.

Hey Gary,
I just downloaded your action planner and quickly skimmed through it. Nicely done. I’ll look at it again when I have more time. Right now I’m too busy writing this comment.
In the video you say “you must believe you’re going to be successful”. Well, I couldn’t agree with you more.
This is a quote of mine that I thought I’d share with you and your readers.
“If I’m not absolutely positive that I will be successful, then I’m absolutely positive that I won’t be.”

Hi Jeff – I’m so glad that you have one of these ACTION Planners. I know that they are helping so many people all over the world to become more productive.
In fact, while I am replying to you – Ron (last name withheld for privacy) emailed me this:
It gives me a real kick getting feedback like this.
You’re spot on with your quote too Jeff. It all starts in the mind.
Everything we see that is man-made STARTS in the mind of somebody – the keyboard you type on, the chair that you sit on, your computer, your desk, the vehicle that you drive and EVERY large, small and tiny component in it – it ALL starts in somebody’s mind. And everything has to be conceived and believed before it can be achieved.

Hi Gary, Once again, the absolute common sense that you have spoken is astounding!! “The Secret” is not that much of a secret when you think about it, just good old fashioned, down to earth common sense, which, as usual, you have spoken with your usual finesse!
In recent times, the world has become way too complicated and there are far more demands on our time than there ever were back in “the good old days”. When put into use, your “Time in Motion Action Planner” has got to be one of the most useful items that anyone could download on the internet. And…it’s free!
If you don’t mind, I would like to mention two points which I believe are crucial elements in using the Action Planner successfully.
Firstly, use it! Every day! Don’t just download it and look at it….write in it every day and follow the timetable that you have written.
Secondly, as with everything new in life, it will take some effort. Don’t be a quitter! If you go astray with your timetable every now and then, don’t worry, and don’t give up either! Keep going with your plans and, before you know it, you will find that it becomes “easier” to keep to your daily plans and timetable. Not only that, you will also be able to pinpoint the “timewasters” in your day and make some changes there also.
Consistency is key.
I’d better end with a favourite quote on the subject, just as Ken and Jeff have. “When the going gets tough, the tough get going”.
Hope to catch up with you soon on Twitter, Gary, or I might have to start calling you The Phantom Twitterer!

Jo – what a WONDERFUL endorsement. Thank you SO much.
I particularly liked this comment (coz I believe it too!)
Consistency in anything is always one of the keys to success – a dripping tap will fill a swimming pool.

Hi Gary,
Terrific video – the magic happens when you take action…
…and you can’t take action unless you have a plan….
…and you don’t really have a plan until you WRITE IT DOWN!!!
You’ve got a terrific action planner – it’s so simple — if people use it, they will be more productive and more successful!
But often times the simplest things are the things that we overlook…
Great post – great video – can’t wait to see you and speak more with you in Vegas!
Adam
P.S. I’m still going through your new ebook, “Twitter Muscle” – I can’t believe all of the content you packed in there! I’m taking my time to read through it so I can make sure I am taking action as I go – well done, and thanks again!

Hi Adam – hey thanks for the FABULOUS comments about my ACTION Planner and the soon to be released “Twitter Muscle” e-book.
You are SO right when you say:
And yes, the simplest things usually get overlooked. People OVER-complicate things.
Looking forward to meeting you in Vegas too Adam. These Internet Marketing seminars will throw a whole new perspective on everything for us. And the contacts we make and the meetings and JV’s etc that will come from them will push a lot of us way ahead of where we are now.
Catch you soon!

Hi Gary
Good to see your progress. I found a really good Free Traffic Getting SEO Plug-In from Jeff Johnson, that you can use to grab more free traffic from the search engines.
Just plug it in to your blog, and then watch it go to work for you almost instantly:
http://jeykumara.com/recommends/TheUndergroundTrainingLab/
The software installs in minutes and it’s SO EASY to use.
The best part is that he’ll even show you how to get more traffic with it as soon as you’re finished installing it.
Download it right now while he’s giving it away for free:
http://jeykumara.com/recommends/TheUndergroundTrainingLab/
Don’t worry:
If you already have a WP blog you can simply plug it in and let it work its Traffic-Getting magic.
And if you don’t have a blog Jeff shows you how to install a free one in as little as 2 minutes using a secret “push a button” technology that even the newest of newbies could use.
100% free and Installs in minutes.
Enjoy,
Jey Kumara

Hey Gary
I love The Secret and the Law of Attraction, but I think a lot of people who have watched the DVD or read the book think that all they have to do is to visualize about what it is they want and they’re lives will automatically be transformed.
Oh if only life was so easy! THERE IS WORK involved people – visualization is only part of it. Planing and putting everything into action has to be done in order to achieve your dreams.
I think Bob Proctor is one of the best speakers I’ve had the priviledge to meet and hear live. I saw him in my home town at a huge seminar and have been able to obtain the MP3 recording of him speaking which I’ve uploaded onto my blog – http://dougstewartonline.com
All the best mate and keep up the great work

I love your Time and Motion action planner.
Until I used it I had notes everywhere for things I had to do and wasted so much time losing and finding where I’d written them down, and I got easily distracted.
Your simple but effective planner certainly keeps me on track. Once it became part of my daily routine, I became considerably more effective.
Thanks.
Jean

@ Jey – thanks for the tip. I’ll take a look at that.
@ Doug – sorry for the delay in responding. I have so many people leaving comments on all sorts of pages at my blog that some of them just slip by without me noticing.
I agree that Bob Proctor is a marvellous success coach. I have almost all of his books and several of his courses. I think “You Were Born Rich” is one of his finest products.
@ Jean – That was such a wonderful comment Jean. I thank you very much for that. If you don’t mind I think I’d like to use that in my NEW e-book that I am adding the final touches to right now.
It is so pleasing to know that the e-books that I am writing are really helping people. That gives me great pleasure to know that.
Thanks Jey, Doug and Jean for taking the time to comment here. I appreciate it.

Thanks for your common sense approach to getting and staying organized so that we can attract the people and things in our life that are most beneficial to us.
Well done on your action planner. It works if you use it.
All the best,

Hi Trees – Thanks for that! Most things work – IF you use them.

Hey Gazz,.. I’ve been meaning to check out this video for ages now… something prompted me tonight and now I can tick it off my list.
You’ve hit the nail on the head mate. It’s one thing to be motivated but it’s another to have a plan of action to go with it.
You’ve probably heard the saying “What’s worse than an idiot?,… a motivated idiot!” … and anyone that goes running around in a state of motivated euphoria for too long without adding an action plan to it is an idiot (I know coz I’ve been an idiot like that once or twice in my life).
The free action planner that you’re offering is terrific and well structured,.. you could have sold it for profit yet you chose to give it away,- just shows what a genuine bloke you are.
Thanks for all your positive and motivational input Gazz, keep it up!
Cheers,- Russ (@russrave)

Hi Russ,
Indeed I have heard this:
It always makes me laugh – coz it is so true!
Terrorists fall into that class. Er, so do MOST starry-eyed virgin MLMers.
I have also been guilty of this…
Hey thanks for the nice compliment on my ACTION Planner. It makes me laugh, smirk, sigh etc that I have such a powerful resource here and so many 1000’s of people see it and either:
(a) don’t notice it or
(b) think it can’t be any good coz it’s FREE!
I could indeed sell it Russ but ATM it’s still free.
Thank you for your visit and kind words. I really appreciate it.

Gary ~ Thank you for your videos, formulas, hints and suggestions.
There are numerous parts to make a whole. Thoughts and intention are only the beginning. Next is speech. The words must be spoken into time and space. Finally, to complete the cycle and manifest into the material world, we need to use our hands to create. From Spirit to Material.
